Answers:
Can you contact the second employer and schedule a phone interviewor possibly assemble with them during your lunch break? Alot of times employer are understanding and can work beside you in enduring situations. As for employer number one. just explain to them that you have a prior engagement before accepting their employment tender on such date and if at all possible could you appropriate a couple of hrs off? If you really wan to interview next to the second employer you may want to schedule the appt for Monday this road you can tell the first employer that you would prefer to start on Tuesday so as not to own any conflicts of interest with prior engagements.
Either of the above would relief you keep the first opening if the second one does not pan out.
You know what they voice - a bird in the foot is worth two in the bush. Tell the other employer thank you, but you own a position. You know now that you can find employment, so stay beside what you have.
Go to the second interview. Try to agenda it during a lunch hour or arrange to take a lunch hour at a slightly different time. Tell your employer you enjoy an appointment that was programmed for before you started the opportunity (which is true).
Then you can choose between the two jobs and give somebody a lift the one that best suits you.
Where can i bring back a career that employ 15 year olds.?
Question:
I'm a girl that really needs a errand right now. Tulsa, Oklahoma doesn't really enjoy a lot of job for 15 year olds. PLEASE HELP ME!
Answers:
Here's a short list of job which you can create to generate income:
1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective celebratory parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding ceremony planners at nearby churches and temple. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can glibly pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand address item.
2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers surrounded by setting and arranging various individuals within group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of many sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various marriage pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local marriage ceremony photographers and wedding planners, as expected. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are commonly invited to attend all dining events.
3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a grassland mower since there are any number of safekeeping issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.
4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within in the neighbourhood residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that within are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is surrounded by order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.
5. Acquire a set of pane cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid windowpane cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle near an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, watch out to limit the loftiness of the window cleaning to no complex than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.
6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow conferral of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any reception of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each carton handled by you.
7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate next to the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a thoroughly long period of time to put into action a waiting list, you want to proffer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any epic period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call for the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The phone up back tax is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head starting place. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your tax schedule fundamental the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will efficacy your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- recurrently beyond the range of any inhouse page system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not filch advantage of the connectivity to cause the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.
8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at adjacent nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unqualified to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The individual downside is that one has to bring precautions to wash one's hand after each feed. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The compensated feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Why does everyone surrounded by here believe that .?
Question:
.being a applicant of a Trade Union will answer all their employment problems?
I don't make out!
Everytime there is a request for information relating to employment, there is at most minuscule one answer to suggest that being a appendage of a Trade Union will solve all their problems.despite at hand being increasing level of Employment law to protect the member of staff in the workforce.
I twig that there are some rogue employer out there...but why not simply simply as the Personnel or HR Department! They can't just cause a mockery of employees for the fun of it!
It make me made that there is such an "us v them" attitude out here between employers and team.
What do you think?
I'm realistically interested to hear both arguments here!
Answers:
I don't think anyone have implied that being a appendage of a trade union will be the answer to everyone's problems, but I still mull over it is vitally important to sign up one.
In most if not adjectives instances a trade union representative would assume that a associate has tried to address a problem near their line official or their HR department before a problem is brought to them. It is problems that are not address in this method that unions have need of to become involved.
You are right to say that here is a lot of employment regulation to protect employees (and Libby is correct to say-so that it is often union that are the initiators of such laws through their political campaigns), but human being aware of it, interpreting it and addressing it is the push button issue. In my experience HR managers interpret law very differently from confederation secretaries and the HR managers that I own worked for have be considerably less up to date about indubitable aspects of employment law than league officials (which is defensible - it is not the sole focus of an HR manager's job). So, the idea that we should adjectives rely on HR departments to defend and uphold our rights is utterly ludicrous. An HR department's most important responsibility is to it's own company.
Can you see an HR department pushing for a higher recompense award for it's staff?
Can you see an HR department challenging it's own verdict to discipline or dismiss a member of staff?
Can you predict an HR department volunteering information to a member of staff in the region of their right to challenge one of it's own decision?
Can you imagine an HR department informing their staff of rights which would sort it's own job more difficult (e.g. flexible working)?
Make no mistake, however benign and compassionate an HR department may seem, if it comes to the crunch and the interests of a contributor of staff conflicts with the interest of the company, the associate of staff will be hung out to dry! (And I include in this - from exceptionally recent experience - members of the HR squad!)
In addition to this I have a feeling there is a moral requisite to a member of a association in that adjectives employees benefit from their existence - above all in relation to recompense increments.
I also get irritated by the number of associates referring people to:
1.) Citizen's Advice Bureau - excellent institution though they are (I hold been a volunteer) - they are mostly staffed by amateurs and are highly unlikely to own the experience of unions (who enjoy links to expert barristers).
2.) ACAS - advice agency individual - no personal representation.
3.) Independent "employment law experts" and solicitors for whom you hold to pay through the muzzle and again have a tiny proportion of the expertise and resouces of a association.
I agree with your comment that it is contaminated for their to be an "us v them" culture in an organisation, but this usually exists where on earth there is a poor union/management relationship or near is an imbalance surrounded by power. The best situation is one where near is mutual respect - which I think adjectives good union aim to achieve.
My warning to you is simple and is based on years of experience as a grouping steward. Treat union bias (if the moral obligation argument doesn't sway you) as an insurance policy. Hope you never own to rely on it on an individual basis - but run assurance from the fact that it is nearby if you need it. Too heaps people surrounded by my experience assume that they do not need to be a partaker of a union, that they can agreement with things for themselves if the obligation arises or that they will never have the requirement. The vast majority of issues that I read on this paragraph of the site would most easily be address if the person have the person be a member of a association. The thing is, for too heaps non-members, the point at which they recognise this is too late - union do not deal beside pre-existing cases for new applicants. So, if you haven't already done so - secure a union!
Regarding your added point - I think the problem is that what an HR Department may quality is a "transparent, consistent and fair decision" might not necessarily be view as such by an employee or a league. Your definition of a competitive salary will be - "Is what we are paying comparative to what our competitors are paying?" A union's would be - "Is the earnings a fair one for the opening that is human being done and in comparison near inflation?"
The best way of ensure that decisions are such is to enjoy the option of have them challenged effectively. I engineer the point again, an HR Department's main loyalty is to the company. There are recurrently cases where the welfare of a company may conflict next to the welfare of an individual employee. In such cases an HR Department (quite rightly, given their role) will present precedence to the company's welfare. A union (again, rightly given that they are protecting the rights of workers) will protect the individual's welfare. In situations where on earth both sides have a dutiful working relationship and there is a well brought-up balance of power, the a logical compromise may be reached, or contained by some cases it is necessary to proceed through courts - within some cases the company may be in the right, surrounded by some cases the union will. But I surface it is essential for all employer to be aware that they are making decisions on the elucidation that they will be effectively challenged if they are not like.
An analogy would be - in an just what the doctor ordered world we would need no police force - but we don't live within an ideal world.
The answer of 'son of shop steward' (below) give you a good insight why the American toil laws are atrociously biased towards the employer. Whenever you hold a US respondant on this section of the site it is other along the lines of - 'there's nothing you can do'. The Americans are still so hung-up almost "Commies" and "Pinkos" that their labour movement is as spineless as an earthworm.
Recall a UK alliance rep telling me only just when negotiating next to US management troop based surrounded by the UK that there answer to him be "We don't do unions!" - that palpably went down OK within the US - thankfully the answer to this jump up cowboy was -"You do here mate!"
Have you watch the Wal-Mart docu-film ? it is called 'The big price of low cost', if any employees stipulation a union it is the associates of Wal-Mart, they treat the employee's close to animals, they won't allow their workers to form a union because they won't know how to get away beside the way they treat their populace if they do, may be not every place needs a Union but they do serve a purpose when they are used properly.
Look on the USDAWs website and you will see why. The law that come into force to protect employees are usually campaingned for by the league. The union will also collide a case for an employer who might otherwise not stand a randomness against a big employer. And believe me, employers regularly flout as masses laws as they can find away with.
The UNION ha ha ha... The single one who can help, is yourself during a work related problem. And pretending that you hold a Solicitor who will back you up... Believe me.
if at hand were no union to fight for the working man /woman after the employers would lately run riot over us
"Everyone" does not believe that trade unions will solve adjectives of their employer problems. Some of us believe that trade unions enjoy outlived their usefulness, for the reasons you stated. There are law and regulations that protect most employees contained by the workplace. Additionally, the demand for QUALITY workers is so large that companies that do not treat their employees okay will ultimately lose them to companies that do.
Some people hold had their union do well by them. People who relish and appreciate a union should be capable of be a member of one. People who don't similar to unions should not be required to be a appendage. The marketplace will equalize employment problems, but it can steal a while.
There are plenty of anecdotal stories of good things and doomed to failure things that unions do. I am instinctively not a member of a confederation, and I do not need the services of one to succeed surrounded by my employment. Your mileage may vary!
My partner, a black plot, was made redundant from his errand in 2000. Prior to this he suffered years of low plane racial nouns. Two white colleagues, doing exactly the same chore, retained their jobs. Amicus, the Trade Union, help him to take his employer to an industrial tribunal. They paid for a top London Barrister to represent him. After a long-drawn-out case, surrounded by which my partner and I had to listen to some gruesome things, he won his case and a substantial lump sum giving. Without the union, my partner could not hold taken on this large multinational business. He be vindicated and made to feel that he did in actual fact count for something and that his racist managers be exposed as such.
Why does everyone believe that? I don`t believe it, (there is always at smallest one answer, I don`t know what you`re haverin
about, please quote me some of these increased level of law you`re babble about.
Trade Unions , Yes they are still something like , but they don't have the bottle they used to. Something to do beside being crushed my the Govenment in the days of Mrs T.
Do you know why your GMC truck costs in the region of $30,000?
Because they have the UAW surrounded by there making them repay someone $35 an hour to turn a wrench now and next. Believe me, I know a number of empire that work there and outside of GM and the UAW they would be lucky to serve a super size fry every once and a while.
They hold now negotiate themselves into a corner. Their employees are making so much money that the US manufacturer are losing money left and right. Ford lately posted the first profit this quarter in yesteryear two years.
Yes, having a confederation stand behind you when the chips are down is nice. You know what is nicer? Having your own personal experience and background to stand behind you. If my company go under or laid me rotten, I would have another errand within a few months. I enjoy not relied on a friend to "Get me the job" and then sit back and rode it out.
Good luck and view out for the union sign, it will cost you more!

I am 18 and and my hopes and plans revolved around moving from FL. to CA to be with my GF afterwards attend college. I have achieve moving to CA, in the sound area and am living surrounded by my apartment with my gf. Everything be going good, I am working full time at a pharmacy a moment ago ready to start dental assissting course for the trickle semester and then it become some rough terrain. I got rejected for Pell Grant because my father cashed out his retirement fund because he needed the money to merely pay the bills...(so i looks close to he is making too much i suppose) i can't claim independence on that... and since i haven't be here 1 year... paying all out of my pocket will be almost 2k for the semester. Thats my first problem. THEN, my landlord basically called just this minute and said he needs me to move out within about a month because he will soon rent the above floor out and his mother is going to cart my studio.. (i am under a 12 month lease and it have only be 6 months) the rent be cheap for this area so, instead
Answers:
Don't offer up on education. It will make available you more than just a piece of quality newspaper. However, you don't have to do it right away. One year to establish your residence previously starting school may not be so discouraging.
I recommend
1) Find a new apartment first. This take a little time. You don't want to be dealing next to a landlord who doesn't want you at hand.
2) Call your school and ask more or less student loans. Pell Grants are notoriously difficult to qualify. However, you can transport out Stafford loans which have low rates and can be deferred whle you are within school. The option on repayment terms are also more flexible. Try to avoid taking out student loans directly from bank unless you understand exactly what you're getting into.
3) Consider contacting your academy and asking for a deferrment. Let them know that you have financial difficulties and enjoy them reserve your spot until next year. This track, you can save up the money and clear a lot smaller number tuition come next year.
4) After you pilfer care of the living want ad school issues, later worry roughly your job. You should stay contained by this job until you find a better one. It's much easier looking for a work while you have one. Also, you want to establish some stable working history if you can. Moving to a better opening will make sense to adjectives employers... quitting after a little usually don't.
5) Does your parents belong to any unions or trade association? Sometimes you can find scholarship from your parents former companies or professional groups.
Good luck!
Just Be!
It will be very tough to live contained by the Bay Area, as rents there are unbelievably high.
You will probably enjoy to apply for a student loan, or your parents could take an equity loan ( HELOC ) out on their home.
One alternative is to move to a cheaper member of California, like Fresno or Modesto, where on earth the cost of living is not so high.
There are California community colleges, state university and even private campuses ( U of Phoenix, GGU, etc ) adjectives over the state.
ahh, I am in the fjord area as in good health. First off, your manager can only break your lease if it states that surrounded by the lease. Review your lease and if it is rock solid your landlord can merely make your vivacity hell in proclaim to make you move out.
I can't abet you too much on the school loans, don't know much give or take a few that one.
In Santa Clara county you can contact:

Find a full-time job at the University you aspiration to attend. Then you will be able to cart classes for free (tuition reimbursement) and have sufficient funds to live on and payment rent. The university is also a good resource to find local and cheap 'student-friendly' housing. well-mannered luck!
Dude,
1. I think moving support to FL (I assume your family is nearby?) is the first step. You may have set yourself spinal column a year already by moving to Cali. But it sounds like your manager may have given you an jammy out.
2. If you MUST move out from you folk's house, then find a smaller town/city next to a community college. Since you are already a resident of FL, should be cheaper (a little bit).
Ok, it sucks and might seem liberal of humbling to have to walk home, but who cares? You want to finish arts school first right? So you got screwed by your manager, are in a tight spot. You can construct the best of it by getting back to where on earth you know some people, can find cheap(er) rent, win a job for 5 or 6 months in the past spring semester and have some money save up. Don't take a loan if you can avoid it. Search the funding board and apply for everything you could even remotely qualify for.
Ok forgive me for sounding like sort of a convulse, but why stay in CA? Is this girl "the one" you want to spend the rest of your time with? If she is so great, she will follow you. Dang, if a girl will be in motion with you to YOUR home, sounds similar to a keeper! If she is too involved surrounded by herself to even consider that, well, evidently she isn't the one for you.
You actually own a lot of option. If your parents do not claim you on their taxes (and since you are 18 and not currently in academy or living at home, they can't) their income doesn't count against you for financial aid.
You can take a year stale, and don't go to conservatory right now.
You can enroll fragment time or take 1 or 2 darkness classes while still working. (It takes longer, but you can still jump to school that opening, I did).
You can take a Saturday class while still working.
If the dental assistant program is through a institution that is not a jr college, find out if you are eligible for a loan.
As for where on earth you live, pull out your lease and read through it. If there's not a clause to break since 12 months, you have every court right to stay there until 12 months is up. If you're not sure almost where you're living, start looking for something smaller and cheaper or a room for rent.

Question:
It seems that if I be to take the extend I would be making less money. I did the paycheck calculator and the gross is smaller amount for the new profession. The benefits are out of this world but the point of seeking new employment is a high salary.
Answers:
nick new living
You get two more paychecks when the time frame is bi-weekly. You carry 24 paychecks when semi-monthly, 26 paychecks when bi-weekly. The pay is difficult at the new living, but money should not be the only factor surrounded by switching jobs. Benefits, leave, medical, flex-time, etc. all play a factor, as in good health as working environment. I made a job switch once for money alone, and it be horrible! Very bad result, since money was the solely thing I took into rationalization.
The pay at the fresh job is $1,188 more than the matured job.
Because the alien job is every two weeks (26 a year), instead of 2 a month (24 a year), the individual checks will be smaller quantity but you get more checks a year.
Not simply is the new available job starting out better, but will you have more opportunity to advance?
You hold to remember that you will have an extra pay cheque if you are working by weekly. As an accountant I would vote that you would be paid more surrounded by the long run of the year but not by much.
I think you forgot the extra wages cheque
The pay degree at the new opening is more, but the money is distributed differently. You'll make around $3,000 a month ($36,000/12) at the current job, but you'll product about $3,100 a month ($37,188/12) at the trial job.
So congrats, you've get a raise of in the region of $100/month! :)
How is 37188 less than 36000? Think nearly it...
