Any trellis developers/web masters out in that?
Question:
Did you go to a four yr college or a trade conservatory (do you think it make a difference), how long did it take you to estate an entry level position, is the pay packet good and what do you like/dislike just about your profession?
Answers:
Web development is still a growing profession. If youre interested rob a look into .NET programming. Every company needs a pattern site, not only a static net site, but things like interactive pattern portals, and sites that dynamically link to databases. I would speak pay adjectives depends on the company you work for. Large corporations will pay a great deal of money to have a professional site which will out of harm`s way them more sales and take them more hiring applications.
As for me, I am more of an IT person, however I develop sites as a hobby so they sort of shift hand surrounded by hand. I go to a 4 year school, however contained by the "real world" i've found that you can hold 20 degrees, but if youre competing near someone that has more experience, theyll win.
Development can be fun, if you relish being creative and have a handle on the usability needs of stop users. There are sooo many aspects to nouns that no one personage can handle. So again if you are interested contained by it, decide what you would close to to do. This could be usability testing, design, nouns, site feedback...etc the list could turn on and on. Good Luck!
yes, me!
I be released from a post and be not given a function. Just told that the ultimate sunshine I worked, WAS my concluding daytime.?
Question:
I worked for a Temp Agency.for a place 6 months, and I was told that I would be hired. Well during those 6 months I be wrongfully released because of a mis-informed Drug Test for employment, but I cleared it up and was allowed to come hindmost. I also was hurt on the employment and I took care of the injury on my own, near my own insurance, and worked with the form on, but was still tolerate go for unknown reason. Isn't it someone I can go to, to find out if my member of staff rights have be taken away from me. This happened on the 14th of April, 2007.
Answers:
You don't indicate if you be laid off from the temp agency or basically the temporary position.
If it be just the temp position, by very soon you should have be given another assignment.
I would contact an attorney about the Workmans Comp claim -- but you may not know how to claim it since you paid beside your own insurance. This is why it is ALWAYS important to folder Workmans Comp for any OTJ injury.
They may have feel you would be a liability. And the temp agency may have feel you were a liability as okay if they haven't found you a position.
If you cannot afford an attorney, contact your local law conservatory and see if they can assist you with resources.
You nouns like a high-maintenance hand. I probably would have fired you, too.
There is no such piece as 'unknown reasons'. You know what happened, even if you aren't recounting. I would just report for unemployment and verbs.
The employment agency is the liaison between you and the company. Go to them. Otherwise the state is notified when you are tolerate go for job loss purposes. They will investigate and see if you qualify so maybe they will share you something.
You were a temp, by definition they don't entail to give you a cause for letting you go.
Whenever I worked for a Temp Agency, the place I be working at never had to grant a reason for "finish your assignment." That's part of the root why they use those agencies.
Might also depend on your state laws also.
You can other speak to an attorney on a consultative basis, contact Human Resources, Investigations Dept. (if in attendance is one), or maybe contact the headquarters of the undertaking you worked at.
As a temp, you can be let travel for any reason at adjectives. It does sound approaching you are a high-maintanance worker, and many companies don't involve the aggravation. You're not an employee of the company so your so-called rights don't apply here.
ably first off you be an idiot for taking care of an injury on the work yourself, the appropriate action would be to walk to the medical facility that provided service for the company and let them discharge for it.
Second, you can't do anything. You were a temp and as such have no expectation that the assignment was long-lasting. Which also means no laying-off. Thats the reason the companies resembling temps they don't have to wages unemployment insurance for you while your at hand because they know you can't collect when they let you travel.
unfortunatly your screwed there is really zilch you can do. as far as the injury at the time of the injury you should have put that lower than workers comp and made them pay.. presently its to late

First Job-help?
Question:
I’m turning 16 soon and I’m going to get my first chore. But I have no concept where to start or what duty I want to do. I have no model what career I want to pursue. I requirement help on what kind of jobs in attendance are and if they are right for me, as I really don’t want to start at job that isn’t right for me or something I enjoy no passion for.
Basically I’m well brought-up at ICT and mostly anything to do with computers, I LOVE to comfort people out-maybe children I don’t mind working near them or like to help out & sort out any problems and give associates solutions. Maybe fundraise for charities. Can anyone suggest a good website where on earth you can find available jobs? And what job I could do, that would be good for me, from the chronicle of things I like doing above.
Answers:
As a recruiter I other had to push for youngsters leaving arts school to approach their career advisor for academy leavers whom offer up to date guidance to school leavers prior to the private employment agencies helping.
On a personal height I would advise you to get a list of everything you wallow in doing as it sounds you may have done later make a catalogue of all the job you definately would not like to do and a account of all the ones you may approaching to do. For each one on the resembling to do list use the pattern to find out what it entails and how much it pays both immediately as a new member of staff and in the adjectives for career prospects. Things to consider besides wage is benefits (bus pass, transport costs, uniform, overtime, double time for Bank hols working), Training, worth its weight within gold, Also other things close to pension scheme, how many branches are in attendance is it nationwide or even International. Once you hold done this for your first shortlist review em all and remove some more you dont close to the sound of.
When you attain down to 5 or less Draft a reminder specific to each enclosed space for instance engineering, Fire service, police service, It companies. They can all be pretty much like peas in a pod but need to be appropriate for respectively job type for discernible reasons, (good next to young kids is no use to a bank). These communication are used for blank canvassing i.e. where on earth there is no errand currently advertised but your sending your details on the adjectives that they may be interested. For advertised job highlight the far-reaching details of the advert, (punctual, smart, reliable, local, willing to travel e.t.c.) and put them into your epistle.
There is loads more than I have put here that will increase your probability but follow these main ones:
Smart, ontime, communication to apply, letter to adopt appointment, be nice to everyone from the time you arrive to the time you leave, dispatch thanking them for interview,
if you inevitability more advice get the impression free to contact for more, sure I will be able to put it onto a word document for you
polite luck,
Well, the service industry is always a virtuous bet. My first job be McDonald's (age 14, $3.65/hr WHOO HOO!).
Maybe since you like computers, you could find a helpdesk somewhere to totter people through computer-related issues. It would be pious to get some of those type skills to put on a resume for the adjectives...
If you like working near kids or helping them out, you might consider being a military camp counselor. Campstaff.com is a good quotation to find those types of jobs.
You hold lots of time to figure out what you want to do. Explore a bit. There's no rush : )

How do you answer the ques-s roughly speaking more or less week points of your traits or doomed to failure customs during the commission interview
Question:
I always enjoy a difficulty in answering such mode of questions at the interview. Like everyone, I enjoy strong as well as week merits (habits). But when it comes to telling roughly speaking them to the potential employer, I think, one should be a bit careful so as not to challenge his/her chances to bring the job.
It will be awfully interesting to know, how (what) you guys usually answer to such type of questions. Thanks.
Answers:
Try to vote something that backs up your personal strengths, for example: I tend to be remarkably impatient with myself, as I want to already know every aspect of my available job very in good health, and I get frustrated, sometimes, at the study curve which will inevitably take place. So I guess to sum it up, at times I am impatient...
That have worked for me in times past.
Honestly, I have done more interviewing than human being interviewed. when someone would answer that way, I would know that that couldn't be their simply flaw, it would, however show me that they had ample business sense to provide thoughtful answers without "throwing themself below the bus"
I just try to answer the sound out as honestly as possible. The trick is to try to give them a lacklustre point that from their point of view is if truth be told a desirable trait. For example I'm a perfectionist and I expect the maximum effort from troop members.
The other piece you can do is point out a weakness and what steps you are taking to exterminate this weakness. For example I tend to procrastinate so I haven't gotten my citations for subject X. To overcome this I set aside 1 hour each morning to read study guides and take practice test.
Personally I hate question like that, why the hell should I put in the picture you my weak points, YOU find my meagre points. I'm busy tweaking my strengths. (That's what I want to say but... you know.)
In physical life:
I would allusion a bad mannerism (that is TOTALLY UNRELATED to the job) and explain how I am currently working on improving it.
I strongly agree to the first answer.
I'd influence 'I have no experience within this workplace but I do however adapt at full tilt to the working environment and I also learn quickly'
Knowing the intention of the interviewer for asking the question will give you an theory how they can be answered.
WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST WEAKNESSES?
It is unlikely that most interviewers are straining their ears to hear your list of weakness. They simply want to see how you handle the cross-question.
Some job candidate can get away near an answer like,” While I incontestably have weakness, I don’t believe I have any that are significant to the position. As you’ve described the position to me, I surmise it would allow me to call upon my strengths.”
If you don’t get the impression you could pull that past its sell-by date, name a inadequacy that is first, not closely related to the position for which you are interviewing, and second, a industrial skill that you can easily swot up rather than a shortcoming surrounded by your personality, which is hugely difficult to change. Then report the interviewer how you are working to improve your thin spot.
WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST STRENGTHS?
The interviewer is hoping to hear that your strengths match the wishes of the job. He or she also requests to know how you present yourself and will watch carefully for overconfidence, boastfulness, dishonesty, and lack of assertiveness.
This is an opportunity to call attention to your strong points, so make the most of it. Speak of one or two strengths and afterwards offer examples of how you own used these strengths.
Peace and blessings!
California Labor Laws, employer witholding money from payroll check due to 'mistake's'...?
Question:
I have be employed at the same place for over 5 years. My employment consist's of a lot of weekly work and dealing with the public. I am on a gross scale as okay as a monthly commission for my sales. My employer is immediately advising my co-worker and myself that they will be docking our discharge $1-$5.00 per 'mistake' we make, such as incorrect date, incorrect signature, etc. From my consciousness it is illegal to appropriate money from my payroll check. She has very soon started calling my commission check a 'bonus' check to cover herself. If this is the case, and it is presently a 'bonus', doesnt the bonus check have to be drawn on a seperate check, a bit than my salary? (Confusing, I know)Also, human being emplyed for so long, I have constantly have to train new employee's surrounded by my department, with no wage increase. These fresh employee's are doing the same chore as myself, no expereince, and same pay ascend as myself, and are all mannish.Do i have any grounds re:sexual nouns?Shes already lost one case on this beforehand.
Answers:
This is essentially "fining" you, so unless those mistakes are breaking product or something that shows a true bottom line impact to the company, they can not do it and "fining" is unconstitutional.
Payroll deductions, however, are NOT risky, but they do have to be done correctly. Most states enjoy their own laws about payroll deductions, but the standard rule of thumb for any employer is to enjoy an employee sign a "payroll supposition authorization" which lists specific reason that deductions are all right. If you haven't signed anything, then you've get a problem. Sounds like you've get one anyway because they simply can not fine you.
My guess is that you are in a call upon center/inside sales environment within which the "base" pay does not flunctuate and your incentives are your commission and bonus. That man the case unanimously, the accepted compensation practice is that you should be earn more in commission and bonuses because of your tenure and experience vs. recieving an increase within your base remuneration. It would definitely be a stretch to prove out singling out in that environment.
You hold no grounds for sexual discrimination. Just because you are surrounded by a difficult job situation...doesn't be a sign of that it's sex discrimination...your post didn't speak a word about you individual treated differently because of gender.
Your employer can make over your commission to a bonus.
They are not required to pay you extra for training.
However...you CAN give the name the Labor Board about the payroll deduction...that is dishonest.
contact the labor board. If you need assistance contained by that E-mail me. In the mean time find another opening. They will keep doing this to you again and again. Email me if you would resembling some help contained by putting you in another position.
If you would close to to talk beside an attorney about this you can review this website for our services.

Quitting a undertaking?
Question:
i just not long got a livelihood as a cashier and today will by my second sunshine of work, but already i want to quit. I don't think cashiering is for me, but i'm not slightly sure how to quit. considering it's my second day, will it look impossible if i quit now or should i continue?
Answers:
Two days really isn't a long time to be at anything.
Most people suggest you try it out for at least possible two weeks - then you will hold learned it and can trade name a reasonable choice ...
Certainly you can quit - but yes it will look desperate. Don't expect a reference from them any.
Best of luck
Well you might consider finding another job until that time you quit, unless you don't have to work. If it's simply not right, then explain to the boss it isn't working out for you, and that you'll be glad to give him two weeks catch sight of.
You're probably in a probationary time of year. But it's just not a probationary spell for you, it's also a probationary period for your foreign employer. If you've realized, for sure, that this is not what you want to do, supply your employer notice. But try chitchat to your employer first and voicing your concerns. Perhaps there's another role in the store you can fulfill that would be more suitable to your skills and ability.
Sometimes a new situation is just a not a virtuous fit. Really think in the region of what you want to do. I'm assuming you're young, so there's not a together lot you can choose from. Are you looking for a more professional environment? Try applying at a bank. There are some bank who will hire 16 year olds (that is if you're that young). Tellers do have some cash-handling, but professional service is the most crucial.

Last time I checked in attendance was a "special" wage for food service workers that be a couple of dollars lower than the regular minimum wage. That may have changed, near has be a lot of evolution in the wages lately since the democrats hold taken over. It varies by state, so try googling your state and minimum wage.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070722/ap_o...
Severs are within the category of not having to be salaried the hourly minimum wage because when you factor in tips they should net at least minimum wage. $2.13 plus tips is a pretty standard server wage. I've made as much as $2.25 plus tips.

Need relief near Interview sound out?
Question:
The question is "What is your greatest accomplishment (job-related)?"
I own NOTHING!! I can't think of anything! I requirement someone to come up with a story for me. I'm not a angelic liar and can't have an idea that of anything. I have department experience so it could relate to that?
Any help would be appreciated!
Answers:
Don't even consider lying. Lies are almost other found out & you could get terminated for explanation for it.
Go over your job history and infer about adjectives that you did...did you reorganize the filing system and support save everyone time (money=time) or oblige pull rotten a huge project that made your boss look like a superstar? Did you hold a knack for turning irate callers into self-righteous, happy customers/clients/visitors? Did you attain handed adjectives the Power Point presentations because you were the one who other knocked the orb out of the park on them? Did you work to optimize your efficiency at a fastidious task by automating some of the components of it? Do you own an accomplishment that resulted in a measurable funds or profit increase for the company?
Think about things similar to this & give a true life span experience account of it.
This is a "behavioral interview" interrogate and is designed to show them a lot something like you, your work habits, your innovation, your tenacity and other great merits.
Just leave it blank, dont falsehood because it will probably get you fired within the future if they find out that you never really did anything. Just relate them the truth, you havent done anything great yet, but you will for them if they basically give you this assignment!
it doesn't have to be anything big...they are a short time ago wanting to hear how you took an obstacle and turned it into something positive..Think of something you hold don in the department that was praised and brand it seem "better"
Dear lisa to distribute you a good answer, you hold to tell us what big-hearted of job is the one that you want to work so we could bring in up a story for you...
lying would be the worst thing to do here, cuz they'll find out that you're lying when they try to credit your sources
DO NOT TELL A LIE ! !
It might be something as simple as getting your first employment. "I don't have a large amount of work experience and have never held a position where on earth opportunities for spectacular achievement were close at hand. I guess my greatest achievement is getting my work at X-company. I was competent to demonstrate that my skills would allow me to contribute to such a professional or successful or highly thought of or prestigious company. And next I did succeed."
or you might say "my greatest triumph has be to successfully be a contributing member of a prestigious company such as X-company even next to my limited work experience."
You own worked and you have be successful. Use that.
Always tell a story of how you help another fellow employee or go above and beyond for the company you worked for. I am sure you can think of something. NEVER LEAVE A QUESTION BLANK. It make you look lazy to the employer. Employers similar to creativity and to see you will try your best. Accomplishments do not have to be huge gesture they can also be small.
No sense in lying during the interview they will amount out you are not telling the truth. Tell the truth you do not own allot of experience but you are willing to swot up you will give it 100% you will be a strong worker if given the opportunity you will not let them down and they will not regret giving you a fortune
Order the unofficial guide to acing the interview.. it will tell you how to find a truthfull answer to adjectives the questions that you will probably be asked during the interview as economically as on the application.
I hate those stupid question.
Especially if you don't have experience contained by the job you are trying for and newly granduated college or something. Those questions are other so stupid.
Just try to find something like, you get along great with your supervisor, or that you go so many yrs in need any attendence issues, or anything like that. If you are within certain types of job where you contract with customers, vote that you have several customers utter nice things about you.

If you are asked to go after you bequeath your 2 weeks mind, is that considered individual fired?
Question:
My coworker gave her 2 weeks consideration and the manager told her that she does not call for her for the 2 weeks and that the day she quit be going to be her last daytime.
Answers:
technically yes...even a lay off is considered fired.but you give 2 weeks notice...so you are one up on the employer.
here's why they agree to her go...this is typical hr policy very soon...they would much rather the entity who gave become aware of be gone..so that they can't bad mouth the company or see any files etc.
not saying she would ever do it...but it is a short time ago the way HR is handle these days.it have even happend to me.
tell her to clutch the time off and relax...procure some sun and be well rested for the topical job.
--and they obligation to pay her through the later date she gave ..so if she said her end day is July 20,...next her paycheck should reflect that...they touch this is a small payment for not have 'any problems'---usally a corporate decision
obedient luck
They should still pay her for those two weeks, and it's not firing... it's pretty adjectives, to help prevent see or corporate spying or that nonsense...
Don't know abundantly about this nouns, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in attendance. :)
Have a good daytime. :)
No she's not being fired. That's freshly termination of services agreed upon by both sides, the employee and the employer.
Usually those that get fired carry a footnote or something to tell the latest boss that that person be fired for this or that reason so that the topical employer will now adjectives the facts before hiring you.
yes it is.this happen to me. i was tolerate go WITH PAY,,,if they have just agree to me go, i would enjoy been competent to collect unemployment,,,,and they know it.
Many employers do this and it's still considered a resignation not man fired.
Some of the reasons employer do this is because they're afraid that a short-time employee might lose incentive to work complicated, might sabotage or steal from the company, might desperate talk the company to other organization causing dissatisfaction or even lately make others want to move by knowing that she gave perceive (some folks might start thinking about disappearing when they hadn't previously). They may also just want to spawn a fresh start & look for a replacement right away.
No.
No people bequeath 2 week notices for allot of reason. first because it is the right thing to do and should you ever craving to return at another time the co. will remember that you worked with them, but your employer is not obligated to permit you work the 2 weeks if chooses not to.
where i come from, it is intensely common.
Your coworker is not man fired because she has already given identify, and as long as she has be properly paid out up to and including the finishing day of concentration, then she should chill out and enjoy a break.
As others have said. employer use it to prevent sabotage etc.
So if i be your coworker, use this time to have a break and earn her thoughts before she starts her subsequent journey.
Good luck!
Ask boss for bring to the fore?
Question:
i been working beside my company for 2 years now and not making terrifically much yet they want me to stay long occupancy. and yat no raise, so how do i ask for a make higher?
Answers:
Before you meet next to your boss, prepare a few items to review during your meeting. Bring an outline of your history next to the company, highlighting accomplishments achieved. Add goal for the upcoming year. Bring copies of any letters or emails of appreciation from coworkers or customers. Know what people are making contained by your position (don't use coworkers as examples, bosses hate that approach) contained by the industry and in your nouns of the country, so you have a conceivable $$ in mind that you can pet name. Ask for a meeting beside your boss to discuss your career, goal and future next to the company. At the meeting report to your boss how much you like working for the company and that you are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to the adjectives. You've worked for the company for 2 years and hope to continue for tons more, but are aware that other positions in this industry (and area) are making more surrounded by salary and that you'd approaching to raise your income to "$____". Is this possible? If your boss say, "no" but you are willing to stay beside the company, ask then would it be possible to earn the angle within a persuaded timeframe (say 3 months) if certain goal might be set and achieved? There is other a negotiation point. Good luck!!

If you can answer yes to most or all, after you need to arrange a assembly with your boss and be prepared when you turn. Type out a list of your current responsibilities: what you've achieve, note your attendance (if it's good), your cleverness to get along next to others, problem-solving methods, and what your project list looks approaching.
From there, discuss what you'd approaching to increase to (be reasonable, not ridiculous) and be friendly for discussion/negotiation. Do NOT go contained by asking for a raise purely because you feel you obligation more money. The boss doesn't care. You're near to do a job and what your bills are are none of the boss' business nor is it his responsibility to discharge you an adequate plenty wage so your bills are paid.
When adjectives is said and done, hopefully you'll walk out near a higher wage. Good luck!
