Obviously, I want to make wearing clothes money... doesn't everyone? I'm not looking to be filthy rich; just comfortable. We be pretty poor growing up and I want to give my (future) children better opportunity. I'm going into my second year of college. I'm fluent in Spanish and own yet to delare a primary. I'd like design possible career choices. I know unambiguously I could teach... become a translator etc. If you've get more specific ideas I'd love to hear them. Lists or websites will also be greatly appreciated. Thanks contained by advance.
Answers:
You could become a liaison to a country (a friend of mine be a liaison to Russia many years ago). You could work at an embassy or consulate. You could work within the travel industry. You could work overseas as a missionary or in abundant other capacities. You could become a counselor, doctor or doesn`t matter what (we looked all over the place for a counselor fluent contained by Spanish who also understood adoption issues & didn't find anyone locally). Just some philosophy.
There's an over-abundance of Spanish speakers. I don't think you'll be capable of make profoundly of money at it ... far too much competition.
Two Jobs Better Then One?
Question:
I need some input. I own the chance to thieve two jobs at around 30000 a year, and a second at around 35000 a year or nick one for 47500 a year.
he two jobs would bring greater income as i wouldnt loose as much on purloin out of the pay check where on earth each are below a import tax bracket. The two jobs dont interfere near each other . ably maybe some but the other job willing to allow it.
the second isnt a 9/5 its an on road tech support guy for the nouns
Answers:
You are going to have to agree on this one for yourself based on what you want. We can give support to you with list of pros and cons, but you need to want what is best for you.
Two jobs:
PROS:
-More income
-Better job?? (you need to opt if this fits or not)
-Better benefits??
CONS:
-Less available hours to spend the additional Money.
-More taxes due. Just because they withhold smaller quantity doesn't mean you won't still owe contained by the higher tariff bracket. If they withhold too little, you may end up near a payment due to uncle Sam surrounded by April.
One job:
PROS:
-More free time
-Consistent hours (sounded from your description that the one errand is 9/5)
-Less taxes due.
-Better Job??
-Better Benefits??
CONS:
-Less Money to use in the added free time
I not long changed positions and received 2 offers. One duty that was $25,000 annually more than the other. However, the post was boring, monotonous, minimally useful have very little room for growth, and the benefits be not as good. Meanwhile the lower paying work offered better benefits, bonuses, regular raises, gameness to train in investigational areas, and most importantly and vital role within a fast growing company beside lots of growth potential. I think you can guess which one I official.
So you have to weigh adjectives the options. When I be interviewing, I kept saying if the superior job make an offer I'm grab it, then this other submit came surrounded by and it was a actual debate. But I'm happier where I am.

Why do big companies hire interns?
Question:
Why not just hire someone already beside the degree?
Answers:
I work for a full-size company and as a program manager, I hire interns for summer positions. We repay our interns quite ably, about 80% of what they will in the future hire in at as a topical employee. We also pay packet for their relocation to our area for the summer (both out and support to their original college area). You want to know 'why' though. I see internship as trying out someone before committing to hiring them sometime full time after they get their level. During an internship, I get to see how they work, how they solve problems, how they interact near other employees contained by the office and after work. When I hire someone, it represents a significant investment of dollars surrounded by that person, because I am hiring someone into a lifetime 'career' not only just a 'job.' I want to be sure that they will do great work and fit in to the fast-paced, dynamic environment that we own at our company.
Certainly interns contribute important work and philosophy to our company, so they are worth every dollar, but I see that they get pretty a lot out of the experience too. I get hold of to see them in their first authentic work experience, see them mature into babyish women and men that will become significant contributors to their fields. Historically I own also seen that individuals who have done internships hold risen higher within the company over their peers because of the additional experience they hold gotten.
Because of the technical disposition of the work we do, I only hire inhabitants with college degree, but I bring in at lowest one per summer. It is my hope that after a few internships with my company that they will resolve they really like it at my company and distribute me their resumes so I can officially hire them after they graduate. It works out great for the company, the interns and even the degreed human resources.
Intern= work getting done for free. Simple as that.
interns are not paid on par beside someone with a level. if they are even getting paid.
Hire = reward a person
Intern = free assist
It's a large company's track of checking out potential applicants, as well as getting some sensibly low cost work out of them while they intern.
Some folks join their intern firms after graduate, and others don't. It's all slice of the game.
It give the college students much needed experience. It gives the employer (usually) a reasonable rate on some help out. it gives the employer also fresh insight from someone who has promising not yet become jaded. If the intern does a great situation, it also gets their foot surrounded by the door if an opening is within.
These are just a few of the reason.
Simple, bc they know that an intern can do the same errand bc they are pretty darn close to having a point, yet they can earnings them little of nothing, or even nil by working with the college to distribute them college credit. I have also hear companies say they are giving support to the community by helping give childlike ppl experience. There is nothing wrong beside internships, they benefit both parties, but companies should wage a little more I consistency for practically the same work as someone near a degree.
As for those who said they be paid $16 or 80% or the regular pay, you are very lucky. One internship would with the sole purpose give me college credit...which i have to pay for as though it be a class (a whole 3 hours!) and the other compensated 7.50 and hour, both treated interns quite poorly. If i could od it adjectives over again, though, I would. Bc without those internships, I would enjoy had NOTHING for my resume.
Umm, free labor
Interns do return with paid. I worked as an intern for a immense company for 2 summers, and I was salaried pretty well. Companies hire them for several reason. One is to check them out for future employment (after graduation). Another is they gain very polite people at a believable price.
I think roomy companies hire interns for a couple of reasons. Part of it is public relations - they want to be supportive of local university. The university is more likely to recommend the employer to their adjectives graduates if the company have been a "right partner" in hiring interns. It's prominent for the company to get qualified candidate - especially in field where the constraint is high, and the challenger pool is small.
Also, interns are typically paid nearly $10.00/hour, so the company gets an extra duet of hands beside little investment (low wage and no benefits). If the intern is good, the company may submit him/her a full-time position when they graduate - they already know what they're getting - they know the work habits of the intern and they know how they fit within with the other force. So, it really can be a win-win situation for everyone.
I think nation don't realize not all interns are working for free.
I worked at a place that compensated interns 16 bucks an hour and the temps only made 10.
It's a process for them to evaluate potential candidates, approaching anything else it's never a sure thing.
We hired two engineers that be reporting to me. One was outstandingly rated and be supposedly considered for a manager of one of the design groups. The other be a shy, quiet woman prone to giggle when she got disturbed.
The potential manager be lazy and arrogant, he made no hard work to learn. When I asked him to put together a spreadsheet tabulate wafer sort yield. He told me he didnt' know how to use MS Excel.
The woman on the other hand showed initiative, be eager to swot and quickly proved she be more capable of managing projects than our so call golden boy.
She even tried to help him solve a software cross-question I posed to him. Instead of thanking her for her minister to, he started yelling at her, describing her to shut up.
At this point I had ample of this jerk, I file a formal letter of reprimand for his routine and soon after we got rid of him.
HELP!! livelihood offer! HOW IS IT LIKE TO WORK FOR A STAFFING COMPANY?
Question:
Hi, I got an tender to work 6 months for a staffing company names RANDSTAD.
Now the positive entity is that the billing company I will be work for has a suitable reputation and it is minimum commute. The down side is I've heard horrible experience next to staffing company like they will treat you doomed to failure after you sign the contract, higher rates at the year end and the billing company will used temps close to a work machine, or you will own difficulty being integrated near the permanent workers near.
This is not my only likelihood and I can also chose to work at another company which is also nice, permanent, but 1h commute. I know nation will find choice 2 much better, but I hate driving and I don't own difficulty to find another permanent mission after the temp is over. However, if these stories about staffing, temp job are true, I will definitely drive 2hs everyday to return with my bread. Thanks!
Answers:
I have worked beside several different temp companies in the recent past and I have never once have a problem with them. Can't read aloud that I have worked for Randstad but I own worked for Adecco and Kelly Services. From experience I have have nothing but fitting things to say more or less them. The only downside that I own had have been next to the short term assignements. It is easier said than done to integrate yourself with a company when you know you are single going to be there for a few weeks. Long occupancy assignments are so much better. Most employees don't diligence if you're a temp or not as long as you get the profession done. If you do a good satisfactory job where on earth you are placed a lot of times they will proposition you a permanent position which you in truth have to run by the temp agency first in the past you accept which is the norm since I guess the temp agency doesn't want you running out on them. Overall a temp agency I enjoy found is one of the best tools to get surrounded by the door in some trunk corporations that hire infrequently.
THIS DEPENDS ON YOUR GOALS AND WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES. IF YOU HAVE VERY NICE CREDENTIALS AND /OR EXPERIENCES YOU CAN TRY EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES WHICH CAN LAND YOU A GOOD JOB.
REMEMBER NEVER TO LIE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCES AND OR / EDUCATION. SOONER OR LATER THE TRUTH IS BOUND TO COME OUT.
LET ME GO BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION.
WORKING WITH A TEMP AGENCY HAS A PLUS POINT: YOU CAN WORK IN A COMPANY THAT IS FISHING FOR GOOD EMPLOYEES. NOW-A DAYS, BIG CORPORATIONS HIRE THRU TEMP AGENCY AND IF AND WHEN OPPORTUNITY ARISES THEY WILL BE WILLING TO OFFER A COMPANY JOB.
OF COURSE, THERE IS A DOWN SIDE TO WORKING FOR A TEMP AGENCY TOO.
IT WILL BE ADVISABLE TO CHECK THE PREVIOUS EMPLOYEES WHO WORKED FOR THE SAME COMPANY BEFORE SIGNING ANY PAPERS.
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS :
" WORK HONESTLY WITH A GOD OVER YOUR HEAD ."
TRUST HIM / HER AND YOU CANNOT GO WRONG.
GOD LUCK!
I work internally for a staffing firm. And yes we have have some situations occur where on earth the temporary workers are treated differently contained by a light industrial type of environment. But we hold had no complaints from our administrative workers. A lot of larger companies go through agencies presently a days because they find it easier to do business that way solitary because the agency deals near everything. If a person does all right while on assignment the client generally rolls them over on to their payroll after the 3 or 6 month residence. It all depends on if they own the need and how well brought-up of a worker you are.
See that depends.I actually worked for Randstad and it get me into the permanent position I am next to now. I started working a member time gig at DHL Global Forwarding (Freight Forwarders - International) and later a month and a half after that I was asked if I would resembling to join the company. Of course I said yes. Now it's be 8 months I've had a dollar elevate and full benefits. But....I sent my fiance through Randstad and they have be giving him nothing but the runaround for times past 2 months..So with a temp agency its really a 50/50 haphazard.
Do you live on your own? Do you pay the bills? I utter this b/c if you do I would stay away from Temp Agencies b/c like I said it's 50/50 but If you still live near your parents or your spouse makes it pretty very well without an income from you afterwards I say whip the chance you could be the lucky 50% resembling me.
Randstand isn't a very polite staffing agency because they had a branch within San Francisco, but they closed that location. Either they weren't getting the clients or they weren't getting the temps. I say attain the permanent assignment. If you put your job dig out and heavily rely on staffing agency to place you, you will get a position you might not close to. I did that and I ended up working surrounded by a part time position which I am not blissful with. I really needed full time, but the staffing agency never found me anything. So, I hold to go hindmost to school , earn a bachelor's and put my point to use. So, if you are that marketable, then verbs interviewing until you land a position you love. Good luck.
I did agency work for a while previously I had kids, It be overall really great. I think a great deal depends on the agency you are working for, I don't know anything about Ranstad. I found that at hand wasn't a lot of orient when you went to a brand new place, you pretty much had to amount out things on your own..but that wasn't every place. Some of the places were really great, others weren't. In the places that weren't so great, the regular body weren't really friendly, they didn't try to make you perceive like you fit surrounded by, you were agency staff and they made it specified you weren't one of them. But it's work, you do your job and step home.
I guess it depends on the company, your personality, your goal, and your situation. I worked for an agency several years ago. I had be out of the corporate environment for a few years and it really helped me acquire reoriented. I worked for them for about a year surrounded by several different positions. I was resourcefully received everywhere I went. I thoroughly enjoy each position to which I be assigned. At the end of that time I be hired as a full time employee at one of the companies where on earth I had be working as a temp. I would recommend it to anyone just starting out or those going vertebrae into the work environment after a time of being away. It be a great experience!
If you won't have a problem finding connection after this assignment is over then dance for it. Not all places are discouraging. Only because you signed a contract with them, does not aim that you have to stay to the running out. If you find something that you like, resign and work near.
Well, there is correct points, and some bad ones too. So the upright points are: You will be able to choose the location , time and remuneration. Bad points are : there are absolutley no benefits, and if you missed the time slot for applying for benefits( which you must reward for) they you have to hang about another 6 months to apply.
Also you are under contract. And to quit any job for any source. Will be breach of contract. Then you will be black-balled
from going back to that agency.

These type of inhabitants are generally swift burners, and tend to leave organization quickly if they don't draw from their way.
I suggest you outlast her. Do your opportunity. Stay focused on what you need to do. I own a motto in my department, "Don't Feed the Bear." What it means to me is don't nurture into another person's desperate attempts to grab attention. When the accept realizes she won't catch a free meal from you, surrounded by the form of your visible distress, she will verbs to her next subject.
come out of your shell and put her in her place the bitchy cow have probably a history of similar behaviour
Is she your boss? If yes, you should step along if you want peace at work place. If she is not your boss, and her changes are really polite (when you look at them objectively), why not accept them? And if the change are not good, report to her thanks but you are not convinced. And why simply you are having problem near her or she is having problem beside you? When others could accept her, why not you?
I deduce there are some more facet to the problem. Pl. share them so that you will get better counsel. In any case, my best wishes to you.

Hi I really inevitability back near my resume i required to know if at hand are any recruiters that could critique it?
Question:
I recently graduate college and need someone's expertise on my resume Please backing me! Tell me what needs to be fixed on my resume
Answers:
You will have need of to let us see it to consent to us critique it. But the main entry to remember is not to get stalled in too various details that are unimportant. There are greatly of sites that have resume examples. Just merely do a survey for resume examples.
The number one piece of advice I can donate you is to have more than one book of your resume if you plan to target different industries. Not individualizing your cover letter or your resume will usually result it mortal overlooked because it looks careless. Point out how you expert your tasks rather than basically stating what duties were.for example.
Maintained database by first creating it using Excel and next continually updating.
I hope that helps and I cogitate you will do great.
Hi! I am not a recruiter, but I did just complete a course surrounded by technical writing where on earth I assisted my classmates in creating their resumes and cover correspondence. My email is fooferocious@yahoo.com if you would like me to cart a look and provide feedback.
go to http://www.free-resume-help.com... and you'll promising come up with some concept for improving it and your duty search overall.
One biddable option is to move about to an employment division near you and see if they'll hand over you some insight. I'd offer up dh's expertise (he's be a recruiter for 17 years), but he's swamped with his business of recruit right now!
No1Familiar have an excellent point, have multi resumes available so that you can focus on your target industry. I detested getting resumes aimed at accounting (for a finance position) when they be applying for retail. There are differences, such as knowledge of A/P and A/R next to invoices and P.O.s.
I would highly recommend you find a local headhunter (for the nouns you are looking in) and offer to reimburse them to review the resume. They know what is important within your location. For example, AZ has plentiful who move in and next out within a year. We look for society who have lived thru 2 summers or more. What is central for your area? They will know. You can catch someone without as much experience for $50ish but a entity who knows may ask you to sign a contract to be next to them 6 months (ie you cannot look on your own, if you do, and you are hired, you pay them) or they may charge a flat duty of up to $300 depending on your area of expertise.
Good luck, Congrats on graduate from college.
Sure, you can send your resume to ReliableResumes.com. They are a professional resume writing service.
I own an interview subsequent week?
Question:
for a home carer and I really need this position. is there anyone out in that who could give me some pious advice for the year.
Answers:
Be sure to look into the company and know their background. In an interview setting you other want to have at most minuscule 3 questions prepared to ask your interviewer. For example, What is _________ comany's adjectives goals? What charitable of growth are you experiencing in home nurture? What kind of casing load can I expect to enjoy?
Try out your patter on a friend. Think more or less what questions they will ask - be polite, well turned-out and caring. If you own been a housesitter for friends, mention any bygone experiences. Good luck!!
If it's for home care later it is no doubt for the elderly. They will probably ask you around what rights the elderly people you will be gentle for have; the right to dignity, the right to be respected as individuals, the right to choice - don't simply get their clothes out of the wardrobe within the morning, show them different outfits and ask them what THEY want to wear. They asked me what I'd do if I turned up at someones house and found them on the floor - DON'T just influence you'd pick them up, they could have a fracture! They will probably ask you a couple scenario like that. Also in the order of health and safekeeping and hygiene. Good luck.
Number 1 - you are #1 here. You are providing a service for them. Relax, be yourself, dress nice & neat, be on time(even a touch early).
Think of the skills, experience you have, and special training if any. Kinda put that surrounded by an essay if you will. Try talking give or take a few it to yourself and others. Become comfortable with it. Then when you are at the interview it will come across like you are speaking to a friend and you really know your stuff. Also, sometimes they will throw out question like: what can you bring to this brief, or why would you want to work here? Think about some of those types of question so they don't catch U sour guard. Most of all listen to that little voice inside - if something doesn't come across right then perchance you don't want this job. Make sure you ask to see the facility and touch the person you will work below. That's a fair request and shows you are interested. Good Luck
simply say u hold had experience weather u hav or not - if they ask u what experience jus brand name sumthin up but make sure it sounds actual lol..
dress smart & be polite
Good luck best of wishes

Is it time to present up when you preserve applying at a company but they never call for you?
Question:
I keep applying to this company but they never hail as me. I am over-qualified for the job but nought...
Even over-qualified applicants need job otherwise we wouldnt be applying.
Maybe I should just administer up../
Answers:
Maybe you should...if they aren't courteous enough to respond to applicants, do you really want to work in attendance?
Applying for the job, doesn't anticipate there's A: An opening and B: that you're what they are looking for.
My support is to hold off a bit, rework your resume and check again. Say surrounded by a couple of months. I do know what you mean just about wanting to work at a particular place. But don't permit that stop you from looking elsewhere. You never know what might work for you.
Try to get hold of a unadulterated person (not voicemail or email) and parley to them. Tell them you know you're overqualified, but you would really like to work for their company. If they brush you stale, yes, move on.
Are you sending them like application every time? Take a careful look at your resume, cover epistle, and anything else they require, and see whether you can tailor anything so that you look like a better fit for the position (including more of an inflection on how much you want the job than your qualifications). Try contacting someone at the company within the department you want to work for and ask if they'd be willing to appropriate some time to talk next to you about their work and pass you some tips on how to be a more attractive candidate. If adjectives of that fails, next you'll know this opportunity just isn't going to tub out.
If you are over-qualified I would look for something more for your level. And afterwards agan if they REALLY need somebody they would phone call. This coorporate world is really shady. Are you applying online? If so, if will probably be a while before you hear backbone from them.. so many other citizens are probably applying too and tey have to review adjectives of it. I would fax them a resume in that shield, or call and tell to someone. Its good to folow-up u know.
I would call upon the company and ask them why they haven't considered you for a position. If you have applied that masses times without calling they should know you.
If you are too shy to do that, consequently maybe your resume isn't that dazzling to them, try including a cover letter along near your references. Then a daylight or two after putting in your resume hail as them and ask if they got it and if you could come within for an interview.
Along with the other suitable comments, I'd like to supply...
Are you applying for an actual job? Or are you sending surrounded by your resume cold? If you're apply for an open position and they aren't calling you rear, you could call them and ask why they passed you over - perchance it's because you're overqualified, but then again, possibly there's another reason that you can work on to modification.
Over-qualified applicants applying for a lower ranking position are a concern for employers. You enjoy to have an justifiable reason for applying for a position below your capability (most people dance up the career stepladder, not down unless there's something wrong) and it has to be one where on earth the employer feels out of harm`s way in hiring you. Even only just needing a duty isn't a good plenty reason... the employer will chew over there's a good coincidence you're going to get bored within the position (because you're capable of more) and start looking for another commission, and when a better job comes along, you're gone. Then they frivolous their time on you when they could have hired someone else who would've stay surrounded by that position for a couple of years.
If you're overqualified, you might consider a lateral move in a different enclosed space with the assist of some new skills (take college or continuing ed classes). Or you might want to completely deconstruct your resume and cover reminder... and rebuild it next to the help of someone else who can provide fresh eyes & insight.
Good luck!

Question:
I had no work experience after college, so not im working as an intern within a research lab and I have a biology level. The problem is, is that i feel that everything im doing here is TOO graceful for me, and I feel that I don't beling here and inevitability to start moving on. This is a great company, pays me well as an intern, they own a muicro lab here but has no opening, and i've worked here for 1 year already, and they are letting me stay here for 1 more year, but my question is: Should I try to keep on until a position opens surrounded by the micro lab, find a PERMANENT job somewhere else, or simply calm down and work here and se if they hire me irreparable for the lab (the budget failed the first time, they are trying to work it out subsequent time). But the thing is, if i seize hired permanent for the lab, I dont want to be doing indistinguishable easy simple stuff here that somebody surrounded by highschool can do. The other intern here is STILL in undergrad next to a bio/chem degree, he have 1 more year, and they are allowing him to
Answers:
You need to develop your own occupation plan. Reacting to the "likes" and "dislikes" of your current job is newly that - reacting. You have need of to develop a plan and have goal. Where do you want to be and doing five years from now, ten years from very soon.after you identify that, determine what you need to do to prepare yourself to come together this goals. Than finally determine how your current assignment help you to met that goal. If involve be, talk to your mediator.if you don't know where you want to be within 5 years than thats where you want to start.
Good luck
Look for another job. It seem as though they don't value your skill. Also there may be a sexual discriminiation issue if he have no degree and is mortal allowed to do more complex things than you. Has he been in attendance longer?
Consider this: Quietly begin to check for employment opportunity in your corral with other companys even if vehicle relocating. It is much easier to move laterally to a better company where your potential will be reach, than it is to try to get a work when you are unemployed. For honesty sake, look for another position while you are still employed and have pious references. Sounds approaching it is time for you to be happy and verbs.
Have you tried talking to whoever is within charge about giving you more responsibility? I found surrounded by a previous job I be doing mundane things day surrounded by day out and when I eventually not here they asked why and i said i was getting bored next to doing the same dated stuff day surrounded by day out and that I know I could do better things with my skills and they turned around and said capably if you had told us we would hold given you better things to do. they thought I enjoyed doing what i be doing. But after you talk to them if they can't do anything afterwards I would suggest finding a different employer before you bestow. It is easier to get a opening when you already have one than finding a post when you are unemployed.
I would dance ahead and start looking around for a position that offers more of a rebel. If you find something better before your current company get around to hiring you on pernanently, great. If not, no harm done. Also, if you enjoy done a great job as an intern so far, it's expected your current employer will remember how dedicated your service be when they begin hiring for a beyond repair position. Continue to stay in thouch next to co-workers who could be used as references next on (networking).
There's really no harm within looking.

A job is the full epitome of the tasks, functions and responsibilities.

I am a Candidate Research Manager, that's my career or title or position.
