Yeah, someone knows if it's true. Them!! Ask THEM!!

Is true when you first get hold of a charge that you hold to work the first week free?

Question:
i herd that up to that time.

Answers:
No, not true at all. You newly don't get compensated until the Friday after the week you work in most cases (time to process payroll). But, you get hold of paid for the hours worked.

When you quit, you'll get hold of a paycheck the week you quit and then another one the week after (assuming you seize paid weekly).

You go and get paid. There is merely a delay within there for processing payroll.
NOPE,, You get hold of paid from morning one.
It's not necessarily working 'free' its just self a check behind. If you start work on Monday and payday is Friday - don't expect to obtain paid. You probably won't receive pay-out until the following week. This happens within most cases .if the job pays you weekly next you will have one week 'in the hole'. If it pays every two weeks - next you will have 2 weeks within the hole.

Now there are some companies that reimburse in 'real time' or mortgage but those are far and in-between.

Just remember its stopped 'for free' you will get salaried for all work perform - that's the law.
You with the sole purpose get compensated at the end of the first pay-period.

Seems resembling you should teach the difference between "lolly accounting" and "accrual accounting" to whoever told you that.
No way.....
No. And store your timesheets in defence your employer needs to be further learned by your state's labor board.
You either misunderstood that or hear it from some idiot.
No, as a matter of certainty it is illegal, you must be remunerated for work you have done.
No, unless that is to say specifcally written in the proffer letter or within the terms of the employment agreement.
it may appear like it, but some employer hold your first pay until you separate from the company in some way, so actually you are compensated 2 weeks in arrears.
depending on what nice of job it is
Of course not. Your employer may not paw you a paycheck at the end of your first week because time go in that year and is paid at the train of the next week, but when your employment is terminated at that available job, it means you still hold a paycheck coming a week (or payperiod) after your termination.
they just hold wager on the check for a week then afford it to you
Absolutely not - you get rewarded from the first minute you are working.

It's not unusual for there to be a week or more hitch before you in fact get rewarded, but you'll get compensated for all the hours you work.

Nursing university suggestions?

Question:
I am going to take the pre-reqs for nursing college but I have no science setting. I was wondering if I should purloin some intro courses such as biology before I run Microbiology? Would it be advantageous to do this or should I just drop right in? Is microbiology a stand alone class? I also hold to take anatomy and physiology.

Answers:
I am within the same position you are surrounded by. I am just around to start A&P. From working with lots of nurses I hold found that the only road to do it is to jump right surrounded by. They wouldnt let you purloin a microbiolgy class before a regular bio class if they didnt presume you could handle it! Good luck!
PS Mirobio is by its self..
i know at my institution they wont let you purloin micro or anat. without taking the intro biology course unless you enjoy 1 full year at highschool..

but i took the intro bio course in college and its channel differ than highschool bio...if you are unsure of yourself take it. you dont wanna be unprepared for the sophisticated bio classes...good luck surrounded by nursing school
At my university, the lower division nursing classes have required pre-reqs. A&P, Micro, BioChem, Intro to Chem. What you should really do is check next to your advisor because they would really know what you need to do. If you don't own an advisor, I'm sure any faculty in the nursing department on your campus would be jovial to help you on your track. Our microbiology course was entitled Infectious Diseases, so it mostly focused on that member of micro. It would have be an interesting course, but the prof was unbelievably dry. Good luck.

My dad won't consent to me do ANYTHING! I involve a means of access to money, and my dad won't permit me draw from job anywhere?!!?

Question:
I've tried everything, and I don't know what I can do! My dad won't let me do anything, I've asked roughly walking dogs, doing a yard work business, infant sitting, ect. He said no to everything. I can get 20.00 every two weeks, but I involve over 600.00. Any suggestions??

Answers:
Maybe you can do something a little entrepreneural similar to sell candy to your friends or perchance you can do a yard mart for the family and hold a percentage of the profits as organizer and marketer...maybe you can knit or engineer something cool, inexpensively and then flog them to your friends. Ask your dad what types of businesses are acceptable. Is he concerned in the order of your embarrasing the family? You enjoy to find out what the main purpose is for him not wanting you to do these things.

In the meantime look for business ventures and accepted wisdom for kids. Also, discuss the computer thing near him...maybe he have concerns since so many kids are anyone targeted by pedofiles and other stuff. Let him know, if you're willing, that you are liable to be monitored and suggest a few parent monitoring programs or offer a compromise. Maybe he only just doesn't want you to get the computer. Explain that you want it for conservatory work etc. :) . If you sit down with him and discuss it maturely believe me he'll be impressed and he'll see how develop you are--maybe that will make a difference surrounded by everything else.
Why do you need $600? Maybe to be precise the problem. He may not agree with your plan for the $600 and the easiest solution is simply to make it impossible for you to take the money. My suggestion would be to talk beside him and explain about the $600. Another factor would be your age? Don't squander your summer, start reading everything you can get your hand on. You will learn plentifully from books. What do you want that $600 for and I can give you better warning.
You can buy at Best Buy computer with 1 year 0% pmt plan, so it will be $50.00 per month,
ask your dad to buy for you and you not going to bear $20.00 from him, which is olmost 600.00 per year. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
This may be far-fetched, but are at hand any jobs your dad will income you to do? Mowing the lawn, wash the car, etc.?

I wrote way up to that time here but I admit I receive crazy ideas from here :)~
I started the writing process online relatively a number of years ago. We did an adoption blog when we be waiting for our daughters. I also did a website on homeschooling (now defunct since I no longer have time to do it...and no longer homeschool).

What are a couple of job at restraunts for 12+?

Question:
OK, i don't care around paper routes or infant sitting or working for my parents i need a mission that i can wash dishes at or something close to that. PLEASE!

Answers:
Unless you know the owner, forget something like working in a restaurant at the age of 12!
if you are 12; I doubt you will find a livelihood in a restaurant
consequently you probably will need a work warranty from your school
as powerfully then you would also stipulation to get a social deposit card as well
here are some planning
you might want to see if your neighbors need the prairie moved
or snow removed or wash their saloon
Here's a short list of job which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective nuptials parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through honeymoon planners at nearby churches and temple. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can glibly pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand address item.

2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers within setting and arranging various individuals within group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of an assortment of sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various wedding ceremony pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local nuptial photographers and wedding planners, suitably. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are recurrently invited to attend all dining comings and goings.

3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a prairie mower since there are any number of safekeeping issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within neighbouring residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that near are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is surrounded by order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

5. Acquire a set of porthole cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid windowpane cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle next to an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be cautious to limit the rank of the window cleaning to no sophisticated than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.

6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow labour of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any bill of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each box handled by you.

7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate near the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a drastically long period of time to set off a waiting list, you want to proffer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any epic period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can give the name the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The ring up back levy is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head font. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your levy schedule in close proximity the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will merit your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- regularly beyond the range of any inhouse page system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not purloin advantage of the connectivity to sort the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.

8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at immediate nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are inept to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The merely downside is that one has to steal precautions to wash one's hand after each feed. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The rewarded feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Good luck!

A few months in credit. You probably wont find something right away and when you do it takes a couple to a few weeks to bring the paperwork done and background checks and doesn`t matter what else there is. Give yourself a bit leeway.

Interview direction ? - Retail sale?

Question:
Hi all !

I enjoy got an interview for a sale position in a retail shop...

what should i expect ?

what woud be the question they would likely ask surrounded by this type of Interview ?

any other advice... I'm pretty nervous as It's a living I'd reay like...

Thanks !

Answers:
You might be asked going on for your previous work experience, just answer honestly, but do not read out anything negative. Play up your means to work with society as this is a key factor within retail sales.
1. relax

2. swot about the company. if its a cuff store, visit their website. orientate yourself with the product AND near their target consumer.

3. answer all question directly. keep answers brief and to the point. disorganized makes you look unsure of yourself.

4. expect question about loss prevention (theft) both internal and external. remember nearly 70% of a retail operation shrink (theft) is internal, so expect questions on morals and nouns and your responsibility to report theft.

5. scheduling is the number two priority (read: headache) for retail manager, so be totally upfront when you're asked about scheduling and availability. remember to alott time for travel/personal wants (ex: if you're in college until 3PM don't voice you're available from 3PM to close. a more plausable schedule is from 4PM-close). remember once you impart your potential employer your availability you are soley to blame if you cannot meet the times.

6. assure the retailer you get their product AND their consumer and how to best reach them and assure their continued business. focus on building customer relationships that cheer up "return visits."

7. figure out you'll be doing more than selling. you may be asked to run a register, clean bathrooms, vacuum and tidy the sale floor, inventory, stock merchandise or process shipment and transfers. demonstrate that you're comfortable with adjectives of these aspects of the job.

8. enjoy a pleasant and conversational tone. don't force enthusiasm, it reads replicated and sends up red flags.

9. review your application well past turning it in. does it lift up red flags? is it neat and legible? are nearby gaps surrounded by employment? what are the reasons tabled for leaving your previous job? what are you goals?

10. enjoy a plan. managers want to see that you enjoy goals within life, they may ask you where on earth you see yourself in five years. while this is unquestionably a chance to show sour your ambitious side, DO NOT make the mistake one of my collegues made (which cost her a promotion down the line) of answering "where on earth do you see yourself in five years," next to "IN YOUR CHAIR, DOING YOUR JOB." too strong! talk roughly speaking growing with the company and helping it expand the bazaar share while taking on new responsibilities and research other aspects of the business. be honest, if this is "just a job" and your just the thing career isn't retail, permit them know in five years you see yourself contained by your ideal trade (fill in the blank), applying the costly tools you'll have scholarly from a background surrounded by retail (people skills, time management, personal/effective communication skills, persuasive speaking, etc.).

best wishes!!
Retail Sales? I approaching sales career as well. Here's the following to whip note although some are really adjectives sense.

1) First impression - Your grooming is vital. First impression usually occur during the first 6 seconds when a party sees you. Be sure your attire are verbs, neat and economically ironed. your hair are compactly comb. No coloured hair or "funny" hairstyle. Make sure you trim your nail and your shoes should be clean or own them polished.
2) Smile - Smiling usually makes a entity feels fitting especially if you are dealing with the hospitality industry, you hold to smile alot. Make sure your smile is neither too fake or too huge.
3) Hand shake - If you have sweaty palms, formulate sure they are dried before shaking your mitt with the interviewer. The foot shake must not be too tight because that will show that you are nervous. Handshake must not be too "loose" as all right. It shows you are not taking the interview seriously. Make a firm handshake and 3 shakes is the restrict. Firm handshake shows you are confidence.
4) Do not speak too express or too slow - In the hospitality industry, speaking too fast shows you are rushing the customer and speaking too slow shows you are not immensely confident. Speak at moderate speed and talk clearly and fluently. When question are ask, do not start by saying "umm..." "Err..." "I estimate..." "I guess..." Think before you answer and present a smile when answering.
5) Facial expression -- Facial expression is another way of communicating and other maintain a smile. Do not frown when given a press you do not know the answer to and do not show any unhappiness if the interviewer posed some question to test you.
6) Always look confident -- Sit up straight, smile.

That's adjectives I can think of... For question that are asked frequently will be:
1) Why do you choose to work in our company?
2) Why do you close to to work in Sales retail.
3) Why did you not here the previous company you work for?
4) How confident are you to be sure that we will want to employ you?
5) Are you competent to memorise the knowledge of the product we are selling surrounded by a few days time?
6) If you are accepted, when can you start work?

That's also adjectives I can think of. Think of the answers fussily and answer them tactfully which way give them the answer they similar to to hear and hope you will be accepted!! Good luck :)

Has anyone notice the amount of commision single job?

Question:
I have lately been posting my resume and it seem that all the positions that are posted within my career feild (mortgage/ finance/ credit) are mostly commision solitary now, what happen over the last five years to conveyance things so drasticly ?

Answers:
It's a lot more cost important this way for big businesses, bring to a close goal profit. This reduce cost for the bank and ensure the have merely people practised of doing the job working for them.

Things are shifting quite drasticly inwardly the banking industry, for example hill branches open just for those who earn over lb75,000 per annum by HSBC. Only certain type of accountholders can approach the counter at Halifax otherwise they enjoy to use the self service all gearing upto to engender bigger profits, it's a very dishonourable market within my opinion.
Employers enjoy learned that to hold productive employees, they own to be made to earn what they're paid.

An department full of folks chatting, eating, playing games and the similar to is not good for the company.

So, you rate them what they're really worth. Ergo, commission.
Too many relatives in debt, Sub Prime Mortgage companies going out of business, rising interest rates, fearfulness that the housing bubble will burst...
Companies are looking to hire people who in actual fact produce results in these roles, and are also looking at adjectives costs. Commission only settle structures are a fantastic way to do this. They reward personnel who make it transpire, and force those who don't to seek other employment.
I enjoy seen commission job to be more readily available due to not heaps takers for the high pressured, touch the daily quotas, repay based on how tons sales you trademark position. Who wants to dance to work day after daytime and have that to accord with ? NO surprise they are available. Another overwork and underpay until someone quits from human being fed up or overstressed type of work principle. The one sports car dealership I once went to where on earth the salesguy said to let them know if I needed any assistance at as they aren't rewarded on commission, he waited within the building while I looked around the lot was the one place I in truth enjoyed going to.
