Who have worked for an Amazon.com warehouse facility? PLZ oblige!?
Question:
This will be my second month working at Amazon.com warehouse packing orders. Kind of similar to working in a factory. I took this livelihood so I can pay my agency through college. I only hold one more year vanished of college before I find my Bachelor degree.
This mission makes me touch weird, surrounded by short I HATE IT. The people are impressively distant and unfriendly. The building is huge and overwhelming and it is SOO hot. I quality like a lost soul on another planet within this situation for 8 hours a day! Don't procure me wrong I don't mind vigorous work but nearby is something heartsickening about working here. I only just can't explain the feeling? Has anyone else ever worked at a facility approaching this and how did you cope? Did you simply look at it as temporary to achieve you through a tough time - like college? Talk to me Im desperate for someone to bargain to about this!
Answers:
i never worked at Amazon or contained by a factory, but i've
DEFINITELY had my share of heart-sickening, as you put it, useless, misery-making jobs. the track i phrased it, after working for one company, was that "that summer i rented them my soul."
if you're really, truly miserable, to the point where on earth you can't take it anymore, i read aloud get out and find yourself a small department to work in where on earth you can at least own a friendly rapport with your fellow personnel. put yourself in a place where on earth the workers can communicate, and even care in the order of each other somewhat. if you can, do something that you diligence about, close to maybe working contained by a vet's office or for a non-profit.
how much do you breed where you're working in a minute? if you're losing valuable time surrounded by your life because you dislike intensely your job this stormily, the monetary compensation may not be worth it. as the saying go, "time is money." and the truth is, the older i get/more experienced next to all aspects of vivacity (not just jobs), i find it to be true. various, many things come across to involve a balance of those two. but time is short, and sometimes it's a better value to lose for a while extra money to gain precious time (or to improve the ability of that time!).
also, think in the region of it this way: every situation i've worked at that i've hated, have always skilled me more about what i DON'T want to do for the rest of my duration (i.e. foodservice, sales, etc.). so even if you abhor it, the experience you've had hasn't be a waste. (but in a minute that you know how you feel, unless the money is truly worth it to you, i wouldn't necessarily spend tons *more* time near.)
anyway, even if worse comes to worst, you'll have your BA surrounded by a year and will have profusely more options to choose from. try to swot what you can from this job so you can apply it within the future, to job that you enjoy.
suitable luck! :)

Answers:
I'm sure they have an hand handbook that spells out their policy on masses issues, just ask for one and read it.
Disney is a core corporation and the practice that you are referring to is fraternization.
Most major companies hold very strict policies against it, and I would bet the second dollar in my pocked that Disney does.
This is a adjectives and very legitimate policy.
Im singular 12 what are summer job i can do?
Question:
i need some brass
Answers:
Good for you. I worked when I was twelve. I did anything anyone would ask me that be not naughty. This is what I did:
1.) babysitting
2.) cleaning
3.) preping veggies surrounded by a take out place
4.) worked at the people bakery
5.) tutoring
6.) made christmas cards to sell to friends and church member
7.) made crafts for chuch bazzars for sale
8.) baked cookies/treats at request
9.) walk peoples dogs
Lots of working mothers will appreciate if you will make baked merchandise for them to give away as gifts if you are honourable at it. Also, I made things for people to thieve to potlucks.
I know hitting up chuch people is lame, but they are a angelic basis of support and they make out that you will save the money or put it to perfect use. Plus they are willing to serve you out if you are willing to work frozen.
If you live in an apartment building. Maybe you can ask elderly family if you can do the grocery shopping for them. They will pay you $1-5.00 for every backpack of groceries, if you are responsible enough to find them what they want and do it propmptly.
well you are too childlike for an official work grant so either: clean up cars, do yard work, collect bottles and can, or something. talk to your parents to see wat else you can do. you might b competent to work for your grandparents if you are lucky.
How about deliver newspapers or distributing door-hanger ad for pizza places, etc? Or you could visit your neighbors and proposal to mow lawns or do odd job.
Walk dogs, mow lawns, collect aluminum cans for recycle, babysit or start a lemonade stand.
maybe you can do some work for ur neighbor
Try a daily route, they're usually available for kids your age.
Here's a short list of job which you can create to generate income:
1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective celebratory parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through marriage ceremony planners at nearby churches and temple. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can confidently pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand address item.
2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers contained by setting and arranging various individuals surrounded by group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of multiple sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various nuptial pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local celebratory photographers and wedding planners, as expected. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are normally invited to attend all dining undertakings.
3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a grass mower since there are any number of safekeeping issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.
4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within adjoining residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that nearby are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is surrounded by order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.
5. Acquire a set of skylight cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid pane cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle beside an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, take care to limit the rank of the window cleaning to no sophisticated than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.
6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow nativity of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any acceptance of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each roll handled by you.
7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate beside the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a massively long period of time to elicit a waiting list, you want to proposition the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any long-winded period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can phone up the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The bid back excise is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head proof. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your excise schedule close by the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will helpfulness your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- commonly beyond the range of any inhouse page system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not help yourself to advantage of the connectivity to manufacture the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.
8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at neighbouring nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are inept to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The lone downside is that one has to appropriate precautions to wash one's hand after each feed. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The rewarded feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.
Good luck!
I think it's great you want to get hold of out there and net some money!
Although you cannot be employed traditionally, due to US child labor laws unless you're working for a relatives member, you can clear money through more creative means.
Some great thinking are gardening/lawn maintenance, babysitting/pet sitting, cleaning houses, or tutoring other kids (if you're a obedient student). With all of these option, you can set your fee and your programme, so the job is flexible.
Recently, my 16-year-old nephew started doing symbolic design out of his house for local bands, arts school groups, etc. and is making pretty good money beside it.
Good luck!

How do I find out in the order of becoming a CNA- Certified Nursing Assisant?
Question:
I live in upstate NY.. How long do the courses bear?? I've been looking online for days in a minute, and I can't find anything out... Where should I go to find out how to become a CNA
Answers:
http://education.washingtonpost.com/site...
Usually you enjoy to have at lowest possible 2 years experience in the strength care paddock, such as at a nursing home (most of these jobs with the sole purpose require a drivers license and high arts school diploma). And then you can jump to a Nursing home or hospital and ask if they are having any upcoming CNA training courses.
I did a rapid G00GLE search and get these
http://www.G00GLE.com/search?hl=en&q=how...
maybe one will facilitate you.
You can also ask at any nursing home, hospital or tech school and they could more than promising help you find adjectives you need to know.
Here's a site to look at.
This is How to Become a CNA
http://nursingassistantcentral.homestead...
Here is a interconnect to some schools next to CNA programs
http://education-portal.com/certified_nu...
Some hospitals and nursing homes will employ you WHILE you become a CNA and recompense for classes on the promise that you'll stick with them for a in no doubt period of time after you graduate. Check your local community colleges, university and technical colleges.
This looks approaching a decent document of schools offering programs, too.
http://www.medical-training.info/nursing...
Contact the Board of Nursing for your state. Thats who does the certification/licensing. When I become a CNA, I applied for a position at the hospital and they put us thru a fast-paced, paid training course to become CNAs. It last about 3months exactly. (m-f; 8hrs/day). Definitely ring around to medical facilities and ask. Many place will do a compensated training course like this, or they will rate for/reimburse you to go to academy for this training.
Good Luck!

Question:
This is a draft for a cover letter/objective statements/something. I'm trying something new and interesting as my career search so far have been disappointing:
This isn’t a difficult intro to draft. Why would working at a wide-reaching, socially conscious and ecologically responsible haven for creativity be a hard trade for an artistic university graduate with a desire to create a solid occupation and income base while furthering a lifetime of professional feat and business chops. Along with my outgoing person, the experience of growing up with a household business unfolding from the ground up has prompted me to seek sensitive of cultural diversity and people of adjectives ages. Extensive experience in the service industry, and very soon working at my family’s financial firm, has given me confidence surrounded by working and serving a broad range of nation. I know I will be a valuable resource for Starbucks Coffee Company serving as a Real Estate Assistant (job code) or a Store Manager (job code).
Answers:
1) no contractions or abbreviated words (isn't, intro.)
2) really wordy - lay off the big words and long winded sentences. People approaching to breathe while they are reading, that is the point of punctuation
3) too plentiful generalities, confer specific examples
4) the "why would working at...business chops" should end near a question red mark. I had to read it 3x to clear sure it actually be a question and to amount out what you said.
5) the first sentence, "This is a difficult..." comes across as insulting and arrogant. I would stop right there and move to the subsequent cover letter.
Basically, means of access to wordy. The point of a cover letter is briefly introduce yourself and engender them want to look at the next page - your resume. I would suggest that you check out a resume book from the library and read some example cover letters. You might also try the art resource office at your university.
This comes across as an insincere smart-alec.
It's not surprising you own had poor results so far.
First you obligation to be extremely polite at least once.
The cover-letter should address the specific company.
You might want to persue several avenues, one at a time.
The unvarnished information is all in that, just present it accurately.
As a busy executive trying to fill a position,
I wouldn't even finish reading this missive.
Let alone look at the resume attached.

Keep it simple and easy to read, as a enrolment consultant, we tend to tune out when people try to oversell. Try something close to:

You really dont stipulation all the frills. Also, if you are applying for a control position, include things like training staff, organising rosters, monitoring OHS standards, liasing near people on adjectives levels including nouns, etc. You need to preserve it job specific.
If it is for the existing estate assistant, include details on your computer skills, and any other things you can find from your previous exp that you can relate to the role. read the job description and address the test criteria!

?Sexual aggravation and nouns surrounded by the workplace?
Question:
I reported sexual harassment around a co-worker whom was making advance towards me and calling me on my home and cell phone at all hours outside of work and emailing me at work and making lewd comments to me when we be alone. I notified the negotiator and made a formal complaint. Nothing ever came of it. 4 months latter a newly hired co-worker made lewd drawings of me and gone them in my hand mailbox, I notified the superior again and nothing be done. Both times I made formal written complaints. The next daytime after the second complaint I was demoted from my position as inspector and advised that my leave time was cancelled next to no substantiated evidence except that the manager told me that my harasser be now going to own my new living and that I was going to own a pay cut and verbs of location. I was also I enjoy since contacted an attorney to file a civil luggage against my employer. what advice if any can you submission me? I have not quit my post and still go to work as planned evryday
Answers:
You're right on contacting an attorney. As I think you'll not own the ideal conditions to stay surrounded by your work place from now on, so you hold to try to make as much money as you can from your employer. Give your attorney as much documents as you can to prove the facts. At duplicate time, try another job and be prepared for investigational fights. There's no other track, this is our competitive world and it works like that. The best style to succeed on those situations is not getting involved. I would say your mistake be made the complaints to your employer, instead of keep the proves next to you. When you made the complaints, you put the power on your boss hands, instead of keeping it next to you. An employer don't want problems, but solutions. Next time solve the problems by your own. Proves on your hands, mingy power against those ones that are against you. Be true, honest and cooperative with your co-workers, but do not trust entirely, because you hold to have your backbone protected. Good luck, your chances are excellent.
You enjoy grounds for a lawsuit then honey. That is the definition of sexual maltreatment - and if they have done nil about it you're entitled to sue!
i dont know but i do know that near in no opening in the world you will lose that skin...thats just nuts
idk thats pretty chance
Have you contacted anyone in the Human Resource (or Personnel) department? If you own and nobody offers any give support to, then clearly work with your attorney. Definitely save a record of everything so that you can subsidise up your claim in court.
dont quit but you should own collected the evidence before doing anything.
Sounds approaching you are doing a lot of things right already. To further spawn sure you preserve your case, put together sure all your adjectives correspondence is sent via certified mail and e-mail. That style you can document that you sent and they received your reports. Record (with details) any and all adjectives instances that occur. Most importantly, be sure to follow your companies policy on reporting these kind of incidents (so get a copy of the company visitors` guide from H.R.).
The outline below should be helpful.
http://labor-employment-law.lawyer.com/...
Did you keep a composition trail? Hopefully, you saved the drawing, the emails, a copy of the complaints, etc. that your co-workers be sending you. Talk to your lawyer and see what your option are. I would start looking for a new assignment even though you haven't been tolerate go nonetheless. This job is a motionless end even if you win a baggage against the company and it is not worth the mental anguish of having to buy and sell with a hostile work environment. Find a alien job and work next to your lawyer to build a baggage against your current employer. Sorry about what you have to go through.
I would ask your attorney if you should stay contained by the work place. In one sense, if you leave you are letting them win, and contained by another sense, you do not and should not have to operation with that form of abuse. I would definatly advocate your attorney on that. Secondly, I hope you sue the crap out of that company and I hope you win. That is horrible that you were the one who be punished. Good luck!
What's the difference between a Resume and a CV?
Question:
Answers:
A curriculum vitae (CV) is an academic resume and is used for research and college/university edification positions. A resume is brief - usually one page - and focuses on work experience. A CV can be as long as it takes to state one's testimonial, publications, papers presented, etc. Sometimes people ask for a CV when they really want a resume. Be sure to check beside the person requesting it to be infallible you are using the correct version for that position
A CV is typically any for someone in Europe or someone within education or a systematic field/executive level entrant. A resume is more of a North American thing and for those of us who are lately regular folks.
They actually are like thing, but a short time ago called different things.
I work within a staffing firm & deal beside people from adjectives over the world. Seen lots of CVs and resumes. A lot of the foreign CVs have information that would be questionable, at best, contained by America (gender, ethnicity, age, marital status, pictures, etc.)
A resume summarizes your work history and a CV is a notification asking the potential employer how your experience fits that position that the company is hiring.
I agree with QueenBoudica's response.
Good luck!
Are near any work from home job that don't require you to wages anything up front?
Question:

Here are my suggestions on finding a legal opportunity that's right for YOU:

- Determine if you are looking for a JOB or a BUSINESS -- at hand is a distinct difference between the two and you want to focus your energies appropriately for the best results.
- If looking for a JOB, what are your marketable skills and previous experiences? If you are looking for a BUSINESS, go next to your passions, things that interest and motivate you the most. Build a detail and use that to begin your survey. General rule of thumb: Never pay for a living (businesses, on the other hand, usually involve some expenses).
- Review your budget -- know ahead of time what you are liable and able to invest into your business, including start-up costs and ongoing continuation and promotion.
- Find a rep to contact, check out their websites, ask questions, do your own independent research.

Is it reasonable to spawn a resume double sided?
Question:
I'm just 14 and it's individual a part-time career. Does it even really matter, be my question of late stupid?
Answers:
It's not stupid at all. At your age, unless you've have a good deal of volunteer experience, some actual work experience or some specialized classes, your resume will plausible be one page or less.
It's not a well-mannered idea to do a double sided resume, though, because most recruiters and hiring manager will look at a resume for about ten second (scan it) and decide surrounded by that amount of time whether they'll spend more time on a more in-depth read. You'll either turn in the I don`t know pile or the no pile. You need to enjoy it be very glib to follow & someone having to turn the broadsheet over probably won't fly.
It's better to do two pages stapled together than a double sided one.
No. Single sided. Looks more professional.
And everything matter when you are job hunting.
One sided and no more than two page is standard practice.
no dont make it double sided...if ur 14 it shouldnt be that long anyway.
It's not above-board. It's never done that way.
Ideally, resumes should be one-page (two at the real most) and single sided.
no, and your only 14, you don't inevitability a resume, just ask for an application.
no it within not good for it to be double sided. in recent times go on resume .com you will see.
When I applied surrounded by my work recently, my resume be single-sided and it is difinitely acceptable.
NEVER double sided is NOT a book!
People who hold worked for thirty years try to get adjectives that is pertinent on one side of a resume. No one will expect more from a childish teenager. The one-side rule have a simple source: there are too lots resumes for most jobs, so you hold to get what is celebrated where it will be see immediately.
Get within the basics: What training and experience do you hold? Can you establish that you are responsible and reliable? Why do you want this particular livelihood?
Choose with fastidiousness the persons you schedule as references. They should know your qualities, be able to assess how okay you will do, while not appearing biased.
For most jobs, showing up within person, looking appropriate, and demonstrating a animated interest in the living will carry more substance than a resume.
Good luck.
not stupid, but better to just incorporate pages
RN Nurses? How much do they breed?
Question:
I was curious to know how much RN Nurses cause on a average? Whata re the pros and cons of the jobs available within that feild? Hospital vs Dr. Office? I am considering going back to institution to be a RN. Thanks for your answers and time!!
Answers:
money can depend on which part of the country you practice. the south pays the tiniest, out west (cali, oregon, washington state the best). with the shortage money is on a winning streak but working conditions not so much. out west is most progressive. i work in the DC nouns and they are as behind as the south. hospitals rate better but you earn every cent. you have abundantly of options once you draw from some experience under your belt and could travel. me i'm looking to will the profession after 18 years. it's exhausting and i've worked in the hospital setting the entire time. put together sure you take a point program for better options and room for advancement and seize at least a year of med-surg underneath you before advance to a specialty. All the best!!
Dr. office - lower payment, better hours.
My sister is a nurse. She's told me that nursed can make between $45,000 - $70,000 a year, depending on where on earth you live, experience, etc. The bad entry for her is that she has to work some crazy hours and it can be a totally physical job. She have some really bad spinal column problems after years of nursing and being on her foot all hours of daylight.
my mother is an RN (20 years) with lots other certificates as all right. Last year she made $78,000. She just bought her dream home.
Long residence care, aka nursing homes, clear the most money in a facility. Dr. office pay the smallest. Traveling nurses make the most money of anyone. A doctor's bureau offers more ordinary hours and a slower, more relaxed environment. A hospital is hectic and fast pace, but also very rewarding. Nursing homes are somewhere within the middle of both, although RN's typically hold office job there beside the bedside care moved out to LPN's. Travel nursing allows more freedom and the ability to set your own rota. It all depends on what you're looking for out of nursing. There's frequent possibilities.
The average annual RN salary is $28,800. The average Rn's starting wage is $13.50 per hour.
The average nursing administrator earn $70,000, or $33.65 per hour.
The average hospital CEO in the Midwest receive $150,000.00 or $72.12 per hour.
