waitressing isn't that tough, but some days are worse than others. it can be frustrating dealing next to rude customers, selfish co-workers and manager that don't back you up. you own to remember a lot of stuff at once, and you are constantly running around.
however, it does enjoy it's benefits. usually your co-workers are very fun and social, you do occasionally own NICE people at your table, the money can be good if you bequeath good service, the hours are flexible and you don't obligation a degree or even experience at some places.
you can move when you receive home, in my experience like mad of servers go out after their shifts, and you grasp used to carrying the trays with one foot (it's all in the region of balance).
waitressing is the toughest right after you start, but after a week or two you get a hang down of it. usually the big chain restaurants hold pretty involved training classes and only consent to you take one or two table at a time during your first few shifts to give support to you ease into it. also, the knob is to be nice to EVERYONE you work with, that will craft your job A LOT easier. bussers will bus your table faster, the kitchen won't lose your orders, the bartenders will fashion your drinks faster, other servers will be willing to run your food when you're not around or grab hold of an extra coke for table 12, etc. if you have a discouraging attitude, your job will suck. so be nice to everyone.

It's not bad etiquette to quit, but since you quit once formerly and then be rehired, don't expect them to hire you again if you want to come back nonetheless a third time.

I think you should check out the current job proffer and make sure you are positive with the company and what the opening is. Then if still want to accept the available job, be honest with your employer and relate them how you got the mission offer. Financially it is better for you to travel to new profession but the current company might decide to counter tender by offering you a pay rise to stay.
