I know of any know job that give "maternity money." Most do allow "maternity start out;" that is, you can lift unpaid time off and be guaranteed the opportunity to return to your available job.
FMLA is unpaid and it sounds like that's what you took. Unless your company offer paid short occupancy disability, doesn't sound resembling you get take-home pay for your time off.
