What do i do if i get fired and the employment i'm applying at immediately is doing a environment check?

i got fired from my duty for not showing up because i had to budge out of town because my grandma wasn't feeling very well and it was also my cousin's celebratory. now im applying at some other stores and its an online application and they are dictum that there will be a situation check. so what should i do? should i put the store i worked at as a reference or not? and what should i say aloud if they ask me why i worked there for such a short amount of time which be 4 and a half months.

Good news- when most employer do a background check, they're referring to your criminal environment. It's unlikely that they will actually call upon your former employers (I've never have any of mine contacted, and I've worked many jobs). 1. For a profession, look on Monster.com or Career Builder.com. Also you may want to visit the craft center of any local community college. Set up an appointment to meet beside a career counselor. They can minister to you find career focus and look over your resume. Most community college organization also work with the common public.
2. Go to www.ets.org this is the website designed by the makers of the SAT's they own a whole sector called resources for audition takers. Practice tests, tips etc. (I drill a GRE prep class - like the SAT's but for Graduate academy, and almost everything I teach is also on their website) Save yourself some brass!

It has be almost two weeks since my group interview. I have call the store at least twice (half an hour in the past the store opened) and both times the manager said they are still calling reference. Should I give up on the opinion of working there? Is in that anything more I can do to improve my likelihood of getting in?

Well I believe I applied like a month ago they said 5-6 business days to process and telephone references and they get back to me inside a week. So probably at this point in the summer and 2 weeks in need a call I would enunciate yeah they're probably not calling back. Tough break.
