I am applying to some big companies for an entry stratum marketing position and may hold overstated my GPA?
Question:
One company specifically asked for my GPA. I had it tabled as approximately 3.0 on the resume. However, I am still expecting some grades to come in, explained that to the interviewer, and afterwards she asked if my GPA would be above or below 3.0 I said most likely by a hair`s breadth above. However, after some calculation, I realize that I may own to expect a 2.97 for my GPA. Will this be a big deal beside the employer? As soon as everything is official, I would forward this info to them, letting them know. Is one .03 below the critical 3.0 mark a huge issue??
Answers:
Probably not a big business - but then again - neither is a 3.0 anything to gain excited about. So I doubt a 1% variance will business.
You should be fine since you told them it will "most likely" be above. You're very close, so hopefully they won't be too concerned. If the courses that are bringing your GPA down are not related to your area, you might bring that point up too.
Good luck!
It depends. Honesty is always the best policy. And while you be honest in proverb you weren't sure, the interviewer might ask for proof (I can't imagine she would unless it have some bearing on the job) and later you will need to explain the situation a bit.
GPAs can business. But the underlying issue is reliability and honesty. Your situation shouldn't be a problem. It's when people speak 3.0 and really have 2.0 that it get to looking bad to employer.
I think your actual GPA evaluation is pretty close to your predicted one so it should not be a problem. All the best.
This shouldn't be an issue, as you explained you have not received adjectives of the grades yet. If you're guessing, and you are one and only off by .03, that's pretty close!
Good luck on the exotic job!

Just be confident. You've already made your finding so just stick next to it and let him/her know that you will be going away. Or you could try to get a take-home pay raise. That's call "leveraging an offer".
first you tell them... "I want to talk to you going on for something important"... then you vote " You have be a wonderful person to work for and i hold enjoyed working for you and next to my co-workers but an opportunity to better my career ( or better myself) have come up and i would like to make available it a try.Explain to them that you have a arbitrariness at more hours or more money or benefits . I only just spoke to my boss about it. The moment I decided to come spinal column, they immediately rehired me. I have a great working relationship with the clients and I didn't variety the company lose their contract with the clients.
Write a missive of resignation letting them know that you appreciate the opportunity & maybe saw a nice thing or two more or less working there and letting them know you're pursuing another opportunity and are giving 2 weeks catch sight of.
Ask your boss if you can schedule a time to see him/her. During the appointment tolerate him know that what has be great about working at hand & that you're moving on to another opportunity and must tender your resignation. Give him the letter of resignation and your regrets.
Pretty simple.
He/she may grant you a counter offer to grasp you to stay. It's RARELY a good belief to take the counter proposal. Usually your loyalty is in grill after you give interest, even if you take a counter propose and they may look to replace you on their timing rather than yours. Also...the loyalty issue may preserve you from promotions, raises, bonuses, etc.
Depends on who the boss is. My favorite trick is to transmit the boss what an *** he is and tell him you can't work here anymore under the circumstances. I once get a three months severance package, be out the door the next time, and never gave sense!
I had a week rotten and got double wages for 12 weeks!

Is it impossible that i asked for a phone interview?
Question:
I recieved an email from Macy's for the HR Administrator position I applied for. I got the email on sunday, dictum that they scheduled a time for me on tuesday, but on tuesday morning I sent a reply asking if I can diary a phone interview before coming contained by for a group interview. Did I make a doomed to failure impression by doing so. I did not catch a response as of yet, and I did not confirm whether or not I could come surrounded by for an interview soon. The reason I considered necessary a phone interview is because the job is down contained by DC and I'm currently in Jersey...thats a heck of a commute for an hr-long interview. What do you reason?
Answers:
As an applicant you really are not in a position to choose how the interview is conducted. Hopefully you will obtain a response but I doubt it.
You shouldn't worry more or less that. If you get the post then it is designed to be. There are many job out there and driving far away doesn't hold to happen. Look for something closer.
You may enjoy made the interviewer think twice in the order of seeing you. You could always follow up near another email letting them know that you wanted to see if you could spend some time on the phone to walk over the position and see if you were a fit, but that if it's impracticable, you'll be happy to be near during the appointed time.
Yes if you can't make it to an interview how are you going to engineer it to work? Further when I hire someone I like to look them within the eye and watch whereabouts to check for honesty.
I would not worry more or less this issue. They may reply and then they may not reply. I would move about to Kohl's OR TJ Maxx OR some place close to my residence. There is so many looking for employment, they more than plausible filled the position. Employer's approaching to be in charge and should be, when it comes to interview appointment's.
That be bad. You don't dictate how you want to be interviewed by a prospective employer. That's their prerogative.
You are right going on for your reasons for requesting a phone interview but you should hold done that before your interview appointment. Nonetheless, in that is no harm within calling them and apologizing for the mistake.
Peace and blessings!
What job are available for someone near an associates point within psychology?
Question:
I am a couple months into my associates degree contained by psychology. I still have somewhat ways to go until I'm competent to get my amount. But, I was wondering, what big-hearted of job oppurtunities are out here for a person beside only a assciates scope in psychology. If you own any information please share with me. Thanks!
Answers:
That's an interesting sound out. I suppose that I am rather qualified to answer it as I start to have a Bachelors Degree surrounded by Psychology. Frankly, having my point in Psychology never ever did "procure me a job", at least not within a direct sense. I went straight from graduate college to 4 years in the USAF and afterwards went right into Insurance Sales and Sales Management... and afterwards later started my own Insurance Agency.
My interrogate to you... and this is only for you to answer for yourself... Do you want to in recent times get a position and hope that this degree may assist you in getting it, or do you want to hold a career within Psychology?? If you just want to attain a job and to know how to say that you own a degree.. later go into marketing or sale or virtually any other job that simply wishes you to have a amount in anything.. Don't expect the AA or even a BS amount in Psychology to carry you very far contained by that field. To bring back any where surrounded by the field of Psychology itself really does require a minimum of a Masters Degree... preferably combined near one of the "ancillary" counseling degrees or related professional designations.. Ideally, to ultimately be in motion for your Doctorate Degree in Psychology would filch you the farthest, though that would whip a few years and a lot of intricate work. You could be completing the requirements for that on a part time foundation though, while you are working in some dimensions in the pasture of Psychology... after you have completed your Masters. All this hinge on whether you simply want to get a livelihood or to have a long permanent status, meaningful occupation in Psychology.
Good Luck!! If you would close to to contact me directly, you are welcome to do so.
Best Regards,
John C. Venezia, CLU, ChFC, CITRMS... (and yes, B.S., Psychology)
