Well I can actually answer this for my friend. He still works at McDonald'a while going to highschool and powerfully quite frankly he doesn't mind his assignment. Of course he could be getting paid more for working surrounded by retail but he was given that accident many a times and he passed it up. So as far as fancy financially compensated, well, he have a car, satisfactory gas to survive california, car insurance, and plenty money for food everyday. I worked at McDonalds backbone in 1974, when the wage be $1.90 an hour. It was sturdy to find a job, even at McDonald's because nobody be hiring! I was within High School, and I learned oodles things there, especially procedure.
I used to work as an order taker/cashier. But that be when you had to include up the orders by foot (the cash register wouldn't do that for you) and you have to figure out the correct back for the brass given (the cash register didn't do that either)
I remember have to add up long list of food items (we had to memorize the price of respectively item before we could work at the bread register). The largest order I remember for lunch be over $40, and that was when Coke be 15 cents, and a Big Mac was 50 cents, and a Fish-Fillet be 35 cents. Talk about stress at lunch time! All this for $1.90 an hour, and I be lucky to have a situation!
I worked at a privately owned McDonald's in 1979 - 1982. That be when you had to run your bunnetics stale to get the brief done, and before they hired OLD citizens (like I am NOW)!
It was a positive experience within that I learned to work as a squad, was rewarded for my pains by training certifications (okay, they were blue and red "hustle dots" on a white board on the wall by the junk cans!); I open the store in the a.m., and enjoy being nearby before the owner arrived.
I get something like 3.25/hr. I be not particularly impressed when they offered me the extra .05/hr. AND the pretty wan double-knit uniform to be a crew trainer... but the rest of it was okay. For the time I feel paid okay, but I know other young at heart people surrounded by the same town doing "labor" job were getting 5.00 - 6.00/hr. for their work.

Don't be fooled by empire that are telling you that you can become rich by doing this or that. It is commonly difficult to survive nowadays if you do not own a good opportunity. On the other hand, no situation how rich you are, you will still come into problems financially. The best advice that I can confer you, as I am currently taking personal finance contained by college, is to invest a good portion contained by stocks and bonds (assuming that you will have money save for emergency situations). You might want to try and bring some refresher courses on the core elements of programming on a weekend class at community college. It's only something like $100 and it will help tender you the edge you want to get fund into it. Are you sure that your not burning out or feeling that what your doing isn't making a difference.
