What should I do?
Question:
I work at a large department store doing 6 a.m. pricing and signing, It's an alright errand, not my career but it pays the bills,
Last week i inquired something like a job selling suits, and i told them that i be very interested and adjectives of that,
However it is a commision job and would be approximately a $2.20 lower in hourly pay packet but i would earn 3% commission, which would total out to probably around like $1 more per hour, I would enjoy to work a lot of night with this opportunity, where i am working almost adjectives mornings now.
THey sem to be taking here time deciding and i asked another representative today and he told me "well the pave the way boss is unsure about your appearance"
SHe still requests more time to think give or take a few it.
I'm thinking what a bunch of bull! I don;t look that bad and i hold great selling skills, PROVEN,
Now I just would similar to to to tell them that i don't want to do that brief and stick with the one that i enjoy, being this one I'm inquiring isn't my art either.
what should I DO??
Answers:
If I be you I would ask questions's. What do they mean by, "the overseer is unsure of your appearance?" This could be stoping you, not just for advancement in the current organization, but surrounded by future endeavors as capably. So ask the question so that you are competent to make the indispensable corrections as not to stop you from moving forward the next time. When you are seeking different opportunities within your career or personal existence it is a total package that is to say observed. Your physical appearance, your talents and ability, and how you communicate both verbally and non-verbally. Food for thought. Think going on for this and do what you think is right.
Well it sounds approaching you might have not put the best outline in on this paticular available job, I would keep looking and ride out the career you have until you find a strange position some where else.
What should you do? You should reexamine your appearance. "I don't look that bad" is scarcely a ringing endorsement for someone who desires to sell suits. I bet your appearance is holding you support in the rest of your occupation, too.
thats mean, ur not going after a super model living. find some other job u savour doing
We have need of money for activites at our nursing home. Where can I find admit money to use for nursing home purposes
Question:
I'm a social director at a nursing home. I am trying to find ways to get free money to enhance our nursing home. People here requirement more activites to do. The more money the better the activity. I hold checked some websites, but no results. Please someone help! I would love to better this facility. I would resembling to better the lives of these patients. Some patients sit around all daytime with zilch to do. We do have a buzz director, but money is really tight here at this facility. PLEASE HELP
Answers:
Check out your state for funding that may be available to your nursing homes. However, state funding may just be the state-run Medicaid program for the medically dependent, which funds the care for a majority of nursing home patients -- to some extent than funding to keep the residents busy.
Grants are hardly given for this type of purpose. Nonetheless, you can run to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal system to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any admit that would support a for-profit venture.
For private grant, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org . It's a subscription based website ($9.95 per month) but their slit blurb only say that the database is ideal for "students, artists, don researchers, libraries and financial aid offices." Businesses such as nursing homes are apparently not one of them, so I transport it they also don't have listings of private foundations who offer grants to would-be entrepreneurs.
Why isn't your administrator predisposed to increase the activities budget? If the deeds director approaches the administrator with a plan and a prospective budget for the needed accomplishments, I'm sure they could negotiate a compromise. As you know, the state regulations require that every resident have an leisure plan, so there is nought excuse for patients to be sitting around all morning with nought to do (that is, unless they are unable to involve yourself in due to their cognitive status). Bingo, wheelchair bowling, windowbox gardening, listening to the music the residents enjoy when they were babyish ("swing music"), board games, reading the newspaper to a group of the more alert residents, candlelight dinners, etc.are upright, cheap activities. There are plenty of goings-on that can be provided with little or no money. Call a sister facility and draw from ideas from their undertakings department if you aren't creative enough to come up next to your own.
Our facility would hold fund raisers every 2 weeks (the day after rate day) specifically to increase the activity dept.'s funds. They would deal in cheap lunches...Taco salads..burgers & chips.BLT's & chips...coney dogs & chips.spaghetti..etc. During the winter months, chili & toasted cheese sandwiches or ANY form of soup was popular. Also would hold bake sale with staff providing the items to deal in. We also had Chili cook offs.spaghetti contests near department heads providing the food obviously but all profits go to the activity department. These sale were also offered to residents & family unit & visitors to purchase. This increased the amusement fund greatly & enabled many different & characteristic activities to be provided for the residents.Everyone in actual fact would look forward to what was man served next. We would put flyers adjectives over the building,by elevators, entrances, etc. with plenty of interest.Unfortunately...the activity fund is typically awfully limited..they don't realize how incredibly important these type of things are for the residents! Hope this help some. Course you would have to own complete approval & cooperation with paperwork & coworkers for this type of thing. (when have food fund raisers we would order as much as we could from our kitchen to give a hand defray costs)...I wish you the really best of luck!

How do I answer this interview examine?
Question:
I was told the company I be interviewing for is very diverse. And the interrogate was, "what do you bring to a diverse community?" I mentioned that I own a lot of experience and delight in working with diverse communities and give them some examples. But they wanted more, "But what do you bring?" I be stuck. I'm not a minority myself, and I not bilingual or anything like that. What do I right to be heard?
Answers:
You bring an open mind and, only just like any diverse community, your own perspective. If you are outgoing, consequently you bring the ability to communicate your thinking well to others. Or, perchance you bring the ability to bring relatives together. In a diverse community, people who can mediate or assist people appreciate differences a bit than conflict over them are needed.
Tell them you're part Native American. If they want to know more, report them your indian name is Works Like Beaver. If they want to know more than that, yelp jibberish at them.
How about "your expertise and experience" contained by the field of work you are interviewing surrounded by.
Mentioning you enjoy working beside diverse communities and giving examples are good answers. We are adjectives unique. You do not hold to be a minority, bilingual, or female to hold your own unique perspective. Most interviewers opt if they want to hire you within the first thirty second of meeting you. Interviewers enjoy their prejudices too. If this company does not hire you, you probably would not enjoy working in that, anyways.
i would have said...i'm not sure going on for the question, that may or may not be what you want to hear, so i'd really resembling to hear what i SHOULD bring, so that i can understand where on earth the question is supposed to step, and whether or not i have the things you're looking for that i should enjoy, or that you would like me to enjoy.
You don't have to be bilingual or part of the pack of a minority to have something to grant. Your diversity could be grounded in where on earth you were born and raise, or maybe it's from mortal open-minded and have a willingness to share. Try to reflect on of it in jargon of what do other people go and get from you? Even if someone was born and raise in the Midwest, that doesn't be determined they have zilch to offer someone who be raised contained by a foreign country or in a most important city. Look within yourself and pinpoint what associates would get from you base on your background only just by knowing you.
Good luck!
Where to go and get profession counsel?
Question:
My highschool councilor was a consume of time, she didn't help me integer anything out.
My college councilor is equally bogus, she doesn't know anything.
I am done with generaly studies and I inevitability to actually choose a profession, I have no notion what I want to do. Where can I go to find real, cooperative advice?
Answers:
I presume it was put best within "Pump up the Volume" when he asked why they were guidance counselors if they be career experts.
Seriously, http://www.linkedin.com have an answer forum like this explicitly pretty beneficial.
It depends on how much money you have for coaching, but medical professionals are in huge emergency. There are so many IT and Technology relatives that there is a huge call for for accountants.
The government have done me very economically. I started in the Marines, worked contained by customer service, as a prison guard, and now I work as a consultant for the correctional system. I'm 30 and breed in the 60's. It's not the best, but it's not the worst. I should know how to retire at 53.
Well I believe you should look into a mirror, why have other ancestors tell you what you should do. First of adjectives what do you like.
perchance your an anmail lover and you want to be a vet, or maybe you want to be a nurse or dr, or advocate.
Think about things you delight in a career is profoundly better if you like what your doing!
There are so masses places you can look, including books and internet resources but the two places I recommend most may be surprising:
1. Yourself
2. Those Close to You
Asking yourself may seem approaching a silly idea, but it can be particularly eye-opening if you take the time to really explore your interests.
Get out a piece of daily (resist the urge to do this on the computer). Make a list of your favorite things. It could be flying a kite, listen to music, babysitting, playing video games, etc. Don't "think" about the things, freshly keep writing them as they come to you. Take your time. Maybe this will filch you a few days.
Next go wager on through and make a star subsequent to the ones that make you the most jovial, that you really enjoy.
Take the starred undertakings and describe what you really like roughly them. Use "keywords" but try to be descriptive.
Now go through and "group" your interests together. Look at what the similarities are and try to fit them together, thinking "outside" the box.
See if any potential career come to mind while you are doing this.
If any do, take the time to do some research into those career. Try to job-shadow people, read blogs on the internet of populace that hold those jobs, etc.
Now onto number 2. Sometimes the citizens around us know us better than we know ourselves. Make up a questionairre on the computer with question about you. Try question like "When do I appear most happy?" "What are my strengths?" "What are my weakness?" "If you could recommend one job for me, what would it be?" Think of other question like this and consequently approach people resembling friends, family, teacher, or anyone else who might know you.
Once they have returned the papers to you, see if any of the responses contest what you set up for yourself.
In short, the best way to choose the right commission is to know yourself. Don't get stuck surrounded by a box of careers - control, businesses, healthcare, restaurants, etc. There are plenty of unique job out there (I know motivation I hold one myself ;)
If you take the time to find out what you close to and who you are (INTERNING is especially helpful for this), you will be grateful within the long run. Don't get stuck within a dead-end job that sucks the time out of you where you can't linger to get home and be who you "really" are! :)
Hope you find what you are looking for.

If fired surrounded by the state of texas, regardless of the apology, are you stilll entitled to be remunerated on time off time?
Question:
that you didnt take?
Answers:
Only if your company's policy indicates thusly. There are no law governing pay for anything save for time worked, unless a company policy dictates otherwise.
Usually no. it depends on the company. you can however collect unemployment.
Not usually. Most companies specifically state that you forfeit your salaried time off when you are terminated voluntarily or INvoluntarily -- sorry.
When you sign the acknowledgement of company policy, you agree to adjectives that is sheltered. I would go through the policies to capture a better understanding of what you are entitled to.
By canon companies are not required to offer compensated vacation to their team. Whether or not you will get the unused portion of your compensated vacation depends primarily on company policy and possibly the drive you were fired. If you be fired with incentive don't count on getting your unused vacation remuneration.
i dont know you would hav eto check with your former employer, i wouldnt ponder so though
Job open market contained by Iowa/Missouri?

Which areas of these states are prosperous and which should be avoided? Thanks!

You said NOT business or quantifiable. What field ARE you looking to attain an entry-level job within?
The hospitality industry is strong in the midwest. You might try John Q. Hammons hotels (based contained by Springfield, MO). They run a collection of upscale hotels (Embassy Suites, Clarion, etc) across the midwest.
Des Moines and Columbia MO have like mad of companies that are hiring. The economy is soft, but it's still growing surrounded by those two places.
According to CNN Iowa has the 16th extreme unemployment rate, and Missouri is 37th great rate. I'd Missouri is the way better bet within that respect. Here is the link to the rankings on CNN's site. Good luck!

Question:
I am only 14 years out-of-date but i already have a vehemence for interior design and i'm really eager to obtain into that type of thing as soon as possible, as a saturday duty or something like that, i told my parents and they told me that i could ask my local theater group if they have need of help doing sets for plays, are here any other things i could do?

Answers:
My husband and his family own and operate a terrifically large kitchen hip bath and tile company. His mom is a designer (she went to university in Winnipeg) - I'd suggest you ask if you can work at a local show room - a short time ago doing intern work - or for summer jobs.
Get involved next to your own art department and it's theater group too - for all the extra assistance and inspirations for your future. Apparently my husbands mom used to design rooms since she could hold a ruler -
It may help out to know an architect or two - as well -
Good Luck
Your parents hold already made a really useful suggestion. It's worthy to see that they are being so supportive.
Why not ask around your friends and relatives to see if any of them have need of help near decorating? Maybe they'd agree to you make some suggestions.
for a saturday chore:
~ start doing simple tasks like fine art fences and stuff.. even though it's in a roundabout way related it will help contained by the future
for the adjectives:
~ create a portfolio of work full of rooms that you have designed.. this will adjectives help when you apply for uni.. the more you do presently the less you'll own to later
~ pick the right subjects at conservatory! art is a must.. plus a more technical subject close to maths or a science.. also textiles or woodwork would be a great backing
~ design rooms in your own home even if your parents don't dance along with your plans you still go and get experience
good luck.. hope you fashion it xx
i do interior desing and it is a great carrere you can ask your parents if you can desing a room or if you have a bacement you could ask them if you could sustain with that
Well my suggestion to you anyone that I'm almost 14 like you would be to ask your Principal if you could hold a mini fashion show at your academy. You could charge people close to 5.00 for admission and dispense all of the money for university uses or maybe a percentage of it.That path everyone gets to spot your talent for fashion and your principal get something out of it too! It's a win win situation.
FIRST OF ALL WELLDONE FOR CHOOSING A CAREER YOUR HEART IS SET ON .
I OWN MY BUSINESS I STARTED EXATLY LIKE YOURSELF BUT ITS ALL WORTH IT IN THE END FIRST AND MOST INPORTANT KEEP ON TOP OF YOUR ART AND DESIGN AND IT.
IN THE WORLD OF INTERIOR DESIGN YOU DONT NEED TO BE ABLE TO DRAW BUT BEING ABLE TO IS A GREAT ADVANTAGE SECOND OF ALL YOU COULD POP TO YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY AND START READING A LITTLE ABOUT INTERIOR DESIGN AS A LOT OF THE COURSES NATIONALLY AVALABLE ARE BASED ON THE HISTORY OF INTERIOR DESIGN.
SECOND OF ALL START JOTTING SOME IDEAS DOWN ON SCRAP PAPER AND KEEP THEM YOU NO LIKE A PORTFOLIO THIS IS A GREAT IDEA AS TO A EMPLOYER SUCH AS MYSELF I LIKE TO SEE MOTIVATION IN A PERSON.
I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY VERY BEST IN YOUR CAREER.
Try the shops in retail parks, ie those that market kitchens and bathrooms, curtain shops - you could get a commission with one later try another to build your experience.
However because your 14 i don't know whether these type of shops will employ you because of your age.
Once your 16 you can enrol on a City and Guilds interior design course - i hold just completed the stratum 3 certificate.
My mate who is 17 have got herself a week experience next to a London firm - can't think of the describe now! typical. Which is classic first paw experience.
once you have finished that course you can work your process up from the bottom via working in the above shops i mentioned or you can shift to university and study for a higher qualification.
Good luck and enjoy fun.
Who r the BEST salesmen n how did they do it?
Question:
Answers:
The best salesman I've met works af a furniture and appliance store that is independently owned. He have always listen and been sincere. He doesn't direct us to the ultimate priced items first. He is friendly and respectful. Even though he has agreed we're not buying every time we come in, he doesn't brush us past its sell-by date.
Sales is all going on for your state of mind and belief that it will happen. Doesn't concern what you sell as long as you are diligent, positive and believe that the best is coming. Don't verbs about your current situation, constantly work as if you are there. It will appear as long as you really put 110% in to it. Also, when you are "selling" you really should be "advising" and validly helping people by informing them on the specifics. If it's not other for someone then transmit them. You will be surprised at the great "luck" that will follow.
The best sales technique is LISTENING. Ask open-ended question to lead the customer or client within the direction of what answers you need to facilitate them.
The open-ended questions (very generalized) tend to front to a longer, more detailed answer, in which you may find like mad of useful information that would otherwise not be brought up.
The listen portion of this shows the customer you actually diligence (and you had better, if you want to label the sale), and ensures that you pull as much information as possible.
Example; selling a security alarm system: "Have you have any recent problems or concerns?" Short and sweet. What ever concerns they may have around the home or business will be spilled out for the subsequent 15 minutes or so. They will tell you just about their thief of a brother (we call for to rekey the locks here?), or the drunk neighbors (add locks to the door as well as frenzy alarms), or the man outside of the window (remote madness buttons, glass break detectors and an outdoor siren, possibly some porthole film)..now you would know what to retribution particular attention to, and possible allow for some upselling. Knowing their requests and needs will help out you sell them precisely what they entail, even if they claim they want something different (like a camera system, so they can watch themselves getting broke into instead of preventing it similar to they should be doing).
Getting technical is not a well-mannered idea unless asked amazingly specific questions. Most general public will not understand technicals, and will quit listen. Only get as precise as you need to, and singular after you have listen to everything they have to read out and all your question (and then some) hold been answered. Changing methodical specifics half bearing through a sale will be a bit misleading to them, and one item they heard untimely on, that may not apply anymore, will be what they expect to see at the end. Hold bad on that until you have exactly what they call for in mind. Then stay standard, if you can. Mention features, but not specific technical aspects. Unless they ask around it, of course.
How much would a vet assistant kind?
Question:
I have an interview near a small animal hospital in my home town here contained by Lexington, Kentucky. I am sure I will be asked about what I am expected to be salaried, but I honestly have no clue. I'd ask for at lowest possible $10.00 an hour. If you have to do front and fund room work, that would be a good place to start.
10$ an hour to start...next to benefits..if they have no benefits i would be asking for 12-13
