Oh I'm so sorry! It's not so much the lunch as the not being ASKED part of the pack. That is extremely rude and unprofessional.
Where I work, it has taken me years to find the bosses to say "thank you" and "upright morning". I used to not even be introduced when the boss would walk around the department; just sort of skipped over.

Is a Physical Therapy Assistant a professional occupation?

A. i already know that pt's make more, but i hear school be really long, and really hard to go and get into.
B. the bls.gov/oco said that this career is NOT professional. but, it requires a 2 year scope, involves extensive knowledge of psychiatric therapy and medicine, and produce more thant many of the professional vigour occupations (at tiniest in my area). Yes it is considered a professional career. Some states require you to be licensed which is a really angelic thing!
If you are considering this work as a PTA it's the same level as nursing...2 years. I always suggest to folks who are interested in becoming a PTA (after they graduate, surpass their clinical; in states required) to achieve a job contained by a hospital. If you become a very sucessful PTA, the PT over years working beside you will know and trust how you work and it won't be necessary for them to over see you close to they did in the origin. In fact, you may seize to a point in your profession where they do the intial eval later they don't see them until discharge.
The great thing more or less Physical Therapy in standard is that you can get into different specialized areas ie; pediatrics, sports prescription, geriatrics (elderly), etc.
Since you in a position where on earth your considering on what you want to do, talk to a shrink at a hospital and ask if you can observe kindly. Typically Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists work hand surrounded by hand (separate treatments although at times you can do a session together ie; OT and PT depending on the circumstances) so why not check them out as powerfully?

However, there is little analysis and constrained input that a PTA puts into the care for the long-suffering. I know many PTAs who are quire brilliant and donate great suggestions to one's componenet, but in the ending, the PT is the one who makes the decree as to weather it will be incorperated into the treatment. (We could discuss further here the relationship between PTs and MDs, but this is beyond the scope of this question).
I infer this is question that have no clear cut answer. I would consider that there is a lasting level of expertese and professionalist i.e. required, but that PTAs function in a more scientific manner (as challenging professionalism) because their autonomy is much more limited.

Of course you can negotiate near a non profit but sometimes the budgets are struck and they can't raise the remuneration, or if it's a unionized position they may not be able to loose change it.
The first step is to ask if the rate they offer you is exchangeable. If they say no it's up to you to pinch it or leave it. If you really be aware of it is underpaid you can always ask for an extra perk such as another week of holiday or flexible hours. It depends how much they want you. Always loaf until they have properly given you the job proffer before you ask for more money.

If everyone in the organization wears a suit you are screwed. If they are bus indifferent you might be ok but you are probably still screwed. You should always dress up a height from the dress code in the organization for an interview (at the level if they are bus formal). Hit a thrift store if you are flat broke and afterwards get the suit tailored same daylight. Buy a reasonable shirt and tie and you are honourable to go.
