What is the assignment prospect for an international student within USA?

Question:
I'm an international student, in my final year contained by uni, and would like to work here for a few years to gain some experience first.
I hear that a lot of USA companies don't resembling to hire internationals. Is that true??

Answers:
NO that's not true -- if this is true then the H1B quota will not be chock-full. As it is, the quota for 2008 was bursting in a couple of days

If you are a student surrounded by a US university, you stand a great chance to know how to find an employer who will sponsor you. In fact if you hold Masters degree from a US university, you are not covered by the quota
International students hold as good a fortune to be hired as anyone else. You will need to trademark sure that they sponsor H-1Bs because the company will shoulder some hefty costs.

If you have a U.S. Master's (or higher), you would hold an advantage when you apply for an H-1B. The quota for Master's are unacquainted up as fast as the Bachelor's quota. Therefore, your likelihood of getting your application approved is greater than someone who has a Bachelor's point. The qouta for bachelor's was met within 2 days the applications were permitted. The quota for Master's degree be used up in 4 weeks.

Do you still own CPT / OPT time left? You should use them as it is enormously beneficial in that your excise is less and this will present you experience in your grazing land. Speak with your International Student Advisory as to how CPT and OPT works. Also, copious companies who hire you during your CPT / OPT will likely to walk on and hire you as an H-1B employee, after you will not need to work hunt.

Good luck!!

Question:
I've always like mopping and cleaning toilets. My father was a janitor and I want to follow within his footsteps. What should I do to get started?

Answers:
DeVry Janitorial
The institution of hard knox is the one you are looking for.

Actually it wouldn't hurt to dance to a trade school and cram a thing or two nearly basic cabinetmaking, fixing mechanics, and plumbing.
The school is call Bend-Over-Retardo-Boy.
i know a good arts school its ivy tech
All you need is a lofty school instruction. This career is really low pay cheque. My father was a janitor since he retired and he had trouble financially supporting his five children. So, it is best to rethink this craft if you ever want a family in the future.

Is this party?

Question:
I've been trying frozen to get a errand this summer(i'm 16) and had no luck so far.Everytime I telephone call a place to see if they're hiring they say no,but next I'll find out a few days later that individuals are getting jobs at these same places because their parents stir see/call the managers for them after they put surrounded by applications. Is that fair to others who these employer lie to?
What difference can parents formulate about their kids getting a career? If a place isn't hiring then why should they newly get job because their parents go converse to the manager?

Answers:
Instead of calling a place to see if they are hiring, you call for to POUND THE PAVEMENT. That's an old-school term for going door to door. Then, after you submit an application or resume, call upon a couple of days later and ask if they've have a chance to look it over and if they own any questions. Tell later you are really eager for work and will conspicuously be a hard worker! Sell yourself!
I regard the best thing for you to do is budge in and settle to someone to see if they are hiring instead of calling. This shows more initiative. I don't know why these places are hiring people freshly because their parents call, surrounded by the real world mommy and daddy can't grasp everything for you and those kids really need to swot that. I'm sure you will be able to find opening now since college kids are going hindmost to school and disappearing their summer jobs.
Wow I hold never heard of that.

I own have parents telephone me and say why didnt you hire my son/daughter and they be already in the process to be hired. I in half a shake cancelled it. Even though they had the brief it just wasnt out all the same.

I would never, ever, ever hire somebody that showed up to their job interview next to a parent.

I cant even imagine the phone call I would get. Im sure nearby has to be more to the story. Just look for more places, but that doesnt label sense to me.

Good luck on your job turn upside down.
Look at it from the employers point of display, someone comes in to look for a profession and they haven't worke before, the employer have no idea if they are any suitable at all- of course, they are troubled! Why don't you get some parcels of recomendation from people you babysat for or did anything for? How more or less working as a volunteer somewhere to get recomendations? Or how just about going in (instead of freshly calling) and even offering to work for free for a week to prove you can be there in good time and a great worker? The first job is the hardest, but if you really try and do very well, jobs are uncomplicated after that. And go surrounded by person, dress up, and impress them!
It is NOT honourable!

But that is how it works surrounded by life. What you are missing is that these parents who go in to cooperate to the managers are usually friends of manager or they might have some network connections with them. i.e. They bowl together. Manager's boss is this parent's cousin and so on.

So what to do contained by these situation? Don't call them up to find out if they inevitability a worker! Go talk to them and convince them why you would cause a great staff. It's harder to reject people when you are obverse to face than on the phone. Apply to work for free for a week formerly the manager make up his/her mind. That will show initiative and once you are working, it is much more difficult to fire people than hire associates.

OK? Keep your chin up.
Tell your parents to go, or win a bunch of friends who have no job and come over and ask 4 a job...
It's a rugged lesson, but life surrounded by general is not open-minded.

It's not what you're doing, it's how you're approaching it. People deal better near others that they see face to frontage. Give up the job calling and start going to places you want to work. Tell them that you're interested, and that you don't hold a contact in that business nonetheless (that's how most people acquire jobs: referrals) but you want to work in that, and is there anything they can do or is in attendance anyone that they know is hiring? Usually these people flock together within businesses, we talk to eachother. Get together near your parents. Right now they are your best allies. Tell them you're looking for a assignment, and do they know anyone who needs assistance?

Answers:
At age 12 - your possible options are slightly limited - above all due to child labor laws.

Beware of Gabriella M - she/he a foremost scammer/spammer - was posting as Cory M and Doug H up to that time. Has been prohibited dozen times now.
Cleaning, kitchenwork, packing, running errands, gardening, babysitting, weekly delivery are some of the job available. These jobs will be posted within local newspapers and billboards. Many businesses dally to employ minors because of the official restrictions on working hours and documentation required.
A better option is to work from home on your computer - write articles, put up for sale on eBay, make a website, hold surveys. In some cases, you may have to set up an tale in your parents or guardians term, and ask them to pay you, after they find the money for your work. More details are available at http://www.pcworkathome.net/jobsforminor...
I've answered similar questions a few times very soon. There are a LOT of options for culture of all ages.

Child labor law mean you bring to stay out of the crappy employee job, and focus on the "own my own business" jobs. :)

In 5th class I told my mom about my just right summer job: Hours will be during the afternoon, not on the weekends, I won't have to wear a uniform, and I'll receive paid above minimum wage.

She laugh.

The next summer I worked as a soccer coach contained by the Summer Recreation program (my brother was also a coach, and after I have volunteered once or twice, he encouraged them to hire me). I worked Monday through Wednesday, during the daylight, and got remunerated something like $7/hour. And as long as I could run and move, no uniform required. :)

Start near what you WANT, not with what you'll clutch. Believe and know that ANYTHING is possible.

My 7 year old son is other doing something to make money. He's sold everything from snails to "Halloween water" to bookmarks. We hold worked with him to buy him a rental property. A house! We used money from the Dutch auction of his go-cart to make the buy and sell happen. Now he get $200 a month--for doing nothing! Of course we're helping him a LOT beside this, but he can barely read and write!!

You're 12! The sky's the decrease!

Look for a mentor who will guide you and work with you and afford you some start-up money if necessary. Parents can be great for this, but parents can also vote things to kill your buzz. Protect your design. Share them with other self-employed entrepreneurs!

Good luck!

Here's a short catalogue of jobs which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you log to prospective wedding party, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at adjacent churches and temples. A starter calligraphy tackle usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per paw addressed item.

2. Become a "poser" who assists nuptials photographers in setting and arranging miscellaneous individuals in group and single photographic positions. 3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, neutral brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since nearby are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup inside nearby residential nouns. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved within this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in establish. However, be careful to stricture the height of the windowpane cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per windowpane panel.

6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of stock and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per respectively package handle by you.

And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to report them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call final fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per skipper basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children beneath 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee agenda near the hostess station is sufficient to gather attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other undertakings outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the extent of any inhouse paging system. Lawyers or legalized experts, is this endorsed and do i enjoy a shield?

Question:
is this legal?

i live surrounded by ohio and i have be training for a job as a driving instructor. when i go and got my physical (state required physical, not company), the doctor put that it would not effect my skill to perform my day after day duties. it has no adverse effect on me any. however, my employer is denying me employment as a result of taking the anti-depressant drug. keep within mind my doctor said it would not keep me from doing any of my duties. is this permissible or do i have a decree suit. thanks so much contained by advance. hold a good hours of daylight.

Answers:
Disabling conditions, including those requiring the use of prescriptions meds, are protected under the Americans near Diabilities Act (ADA.) However, ADA only requires an employer to treat disabled individuals alike way that they treat non-disabled individuals. It does not require an employer to substantially conversion a policy in decree to hire, promote, transfer, etc., an ADA-eligible individual.

Ask for a copy of their drug carrying out tests policy. If this employer has a policy that prohibits diving instructors from using any sort of drug (including Rx) that could impair mood, perspicacity, etc., then they are in their right to refuse to hire you. If they do NOT enjoy a policy, and simply made a judgment appointment based on the tryout results, you may have grounds for a skin.

Because the employer does not mandate drug testing itself, and simply reviewed the results of a state-mandated check, they have contained by effect used your personal health information to product an employment decision. If their requirement for this errand does not include a bona-fide occupational qualification next to respect to the use of controlled substances, they are asking for trouble.

Contact the dept of labor (www.dol.gov will have a association to an office close to you.) They will review your claim and if required, file a claim on your behalf against the employer for free. You may also want to check beside an employment attorney who works on contingency (they get awarded a portion of the settlement they dig up for you.) Some offer free or low cost consultations.

Good luck.
You don't enjoy a case. All your employer-that-was have to say is "We didn't hire him because we're concerned that he may forget to pilfer his medication one day and what he might do if he did forget or missed his meds" and the find will buy it. You're talking in the order of a job where on earth you would be responsible for the safety of yourself and others, and an employer is clearly inside their right to deny you employment for a condition that puts a client's safety at risk, even though your doctor said your condition doesn't affect your facility to perform your on a daily basis duties. They don't want to take the destiny, and legally they don't enjoy to.
I doubt a lawyer would answer your cross-question here. Attorneys' payment come from their time and practice. They rarely administer it out for free. As for legal experts, if one of them answers, they are breaking the imperative. Only an attorney can give you direction. As a legal assistant, I recommend you contact the Bar Association contained by your area for a referral to an attorney who practices within Employment Law.
No case. There is no canon requiring employers to hire associates on antidepressants.
I'm a lawyer, though not a litigator.

Generally, I don't have an idea that you have a great valise here. I'm unaware of any "protected class" that exists for takers of anti-depressant medication, though you may wish to hold a phone call near a plaintiff's attorney in Ohio who may be aware of any inimitable Ohio statutes or protections that may apply. Most contingency-fee plaintiff's lawyers will provide you next to a free (confidential) consultation.
maybe if ur protected beneath the ADA
I agree completely with Sarge927's response.

Good luck!

What should you do if you own be working at indistinguishable position for several years and you are totally BURNED OUT??

Question:
I started working for a company several years ago. Along the way particular people not here and I was asked to clutch over their work. Then later on I be promoted to site supervisor. I am now doing adjectives the work that 3 people be doing previously.

I was in recent times doing some calculations and it turns out that my company have a 92% annual turnover rate while the BLS average for all employer is around 23%. These are salaried positions, not like swift food or anything. I feel that my income is fair but the stress I am experiencing is growing time by day beside the new projects/tasks that keep hold of coming up. For the first time in my vivacity I'm actually have suicidal thoughts because basically the one and only thing I do within life is work. I know if I contribute up too much of my work then my take-home pay will be cut significantly and my house will go into foreclosure. If you be me, what would you do? Thanks!!

Answers:
Start your own "penis-showing game"
Get your self hired at another company based on your experience. Take your time to look around while continuing to work. That is a ordinary and OK thing to do. When you catch a job that you would approaching to move into (for at least as much recompense as you get now) prepare some information for your boss (as you have described here). Tell them that you requirement to hire staff that you can train to do some of the work that you currently do, and that you need a bring to the fore since you now enjoy more people working for you. Document things beside numbers and ask for what you want (i.e. less work, power to contract out to others, and some pay increase). Be prepared within this negotiation to leave and work for the hot company. But make sure that both path are OK with you.
Look for easier work on like peas in a pod salary and when you go and get a job verbs - You're not going to work anywhere if your health fail. If you can't then check out some other places so you can transport a hit in pay, or thing in the order of renting/reutilising your home to make it more viable. - seize some pills for the suicidal thing - thats a doomed to failure sign.
With an annual 92% turnover, it sounds like the company might hold some issues. But I agree, you need to find another career that pays more or equal to what you are making with smaller number stress. Then approach your employer and flat out tell them, recompense me more, get me some oblige that I can train, or I walk. But manufacture sure you have another assignment to walk to. No charge is worth your health, but again, we adjectives have bills to pay packet. And as long as you continue to do your errand and do it well, your employer cannot lower your wages. (Well I will retract that sector, it depends on where you live) When you move about in to speak to your boss, appropriate documents with you showing him/her what you do, the earnings you are making, and divide it by the number of hours you are working per week. I'm sure you will be shocked to see how little salary human resources really make once it is broken down into an hourly wage. Hang surrounded by there, things will receive better. Good luck to you!!

I worked too hard and missed out on lots of fun stuff. Go to the seaside. Play baseball, go to the football games this crash. Enjoy.

If you do want to work, try to get a mission, ANY job, i.e. in your chosen enclosed space of work for a career. You may even submit to volunteer to get within the door, and you will gain experience that makes a huge difference when you take out of college, and that will make a extremely big difference in your lifetime returns. (I didn't mind a bit working for so little when I was younger. It qualified me to work for work itself, and to learn from every position. Now I am a work at home Small Business Consultant. Its perfect for this stage of natural life, and I did this with more work experience and minus an MBA!)
I would be concerned. It teaches you more roughly speaking yourself than most other lessons within life. Personal Responsibility.

I be raised VERY poor. We are fruit farm folks, the money IS in the arrive, not in your pocket.

I at the double learned the need of Money and my responsibility of it and how hard my parents worked to provide the brass tacks in my energy. I loved my family more.

Ist "outside the house" profession was Age 12- cleaning horse stalls (approx 20) twice a week or each day as needed. Did that job for 5 years within a row! [yes its cleaning poop!]

By age 14, I purchased the family groceries and planned the meal, cooked them 3 days a week and froze them for fast meal for our family. That alone save our family so much money, that we could afford a current TV in a few months.

By age 15, I have a healthy nest egg account, I remunerated cash for my first saloon and prom dress/ limo and weekend at a resort in dosh. No parental help.

By age 16, I assumed the pure gas bill, and water bill for the house, grocercies and remunerated my OWN orthodontics (dentist) braces bill.

By age 18, I paid for my clean car, and my infant brothers dentist bill as well. We both enjoy lovely teeth.

I have other had a charge, from that day on. After conservatory, summertime all the time. From volunteering at a Nursing home, reading magazine to working 60 hours a week in dignified school every summer (2-part time jobs).

In High institution, I got a saloon, paid bread for it, and worked 20-30 hours a week, to get primed for college.

My parents were amazed, my grades be good and I have more personal respect for myself.

The best part adjectives the "rough" and worrisome part of elevated school society, never phased me, since I be not concerned with it at adjectives. The "STUFF" that all the family wanted to form them look cool or popular, was in recent times "stuff" to me, and never impressed me because, I knew they didnt' "earn" it, by rock-hard work- their parents just bought it for them.

I save my money, seriously, and paid CASH for my college training, getting only rather help from my parents. An incredible point! I lived at home, to save money on that, even so when I did move out, my Mustang car be paid OFF and so be all my latest furniture.

Idle hands clear lazy minds. I grew up on a fruit farm, and kids need a employment as soon as they can carry a bucket.

My four year prehistoric has chores. Its a lifestyle. Its responsibility that starts at home, and it will radiate outward.
TV, games, cell phones, cars are a privilege, not a requirement. Most assume otherwise.

I own a small business within the medical field, my husband worked thorny as well. We enjoy a wellness/pain management clinic. At this point, we can see patients that "can't" settle and treat them without hurting our own pocket. That is a blessing, to know how to help/ serve others in this means of access.
