Where can I find the reward scales for GS/GG job?

Question:

Answers:
G00GLE "GS pay scale" I've tried this and it works.
The US Office of Personnel Management list the General Schedules plus all the locality table at their website. I've included the link. They also hold a Salary Calculator (second link) that takes the locality , title and step level into picture.

Remember that some jobs - especially those within the IT field - recieve a "kicker". This is a percentage increase on the underside wage to make the wage competitive next to the private sector wages. You can find those on the Special Salary Rates table. (third link)

What is the best road to roll that you be a stay-at-home mother on your resume?

Question:

Answers:
Hello! I think bluntly stated would be of late. I think seriously of us sahm's don't give ourselves plenty credit. Being a stay at home mom is a very polite indication that you can multi-task and have a tollerance. I'm not sure how tons kids you have,(i enjoy 5)but I can give you some wonderful info on making you home safer and in good health.
How about domestic plot!! Or self employed.
Domestic Goddess
homemaker
You do not list this on your resume. It is not work history.

You cover this within your cover letter and point up the certainty that you are returning to the workforce after having your children.
From: jobsearch.about.com/od/resumes...

What did you do while you weren't employed? Did you freelance or consult? How something like volunteering? All those experiences count as work and can be included on your resume. List them as you would list your other job - with charge title, company name, duty description, and dates of employment. If you took a class, you can enumerate that in the Education sector of your resume.
When you have employment gap that don't fit on your resume (you took time off to consideration for an aged parent or to raise a child) use your cover communiqu¨¦ to explain the gap. That path, the employer will know that there's an explanation for you being out of the workforce.
Did you do any type of work from home? If so, you can roll the name of the company and your title (whatever they contracted you for) and the identify of the company. Example:

West Corporation
Customer Service
Inbound customer service assisting callers/communicate with customers to process advice, answer questions, explain product information and address complaints

Or you can other use the term Freelance if you provided services to a company.
Be creative next to it!

Just... not too creative. (I love the Domestic Engineer title though)

But really, just because human being a mom wasn't paying work experience, it still was work and you get lots of experience doing it. Resumes aren't just roughly speaking work experience anyway. Their main purpose should be to communicate the benefit and appeal you offer to an employer.

A stay-at-home mom have a lot of benefit to grant. I won't try to think of examples - you'll do a better post at that - but I'm sure there are lots of things that you enjoy accomplished that would be attractive to an employer.

Just a word of advice though. If you do put "Stay-at-home mother" on your resume, don't list your duties and responsibilities. That's a pale way for anyone to write a resume, but especially for you. Really, in recent times about everyone know what the duties of a mother are. Again, show the benefits that that experience has generate.
You could say that you be CEO of kimb and sons, but Just that you were a stay at home mom would be best;)

Do you similar to working surrounded by an bureau?

Question:
is it so boring? what do you do there? on computer adjectives day??
Thank you =)

Answers:
No! Who does?! The singular advantage is free internet! and within answer to what do we do all time...this! answer yahoo questions! Yay!
Never worked within an office and by the sounds of it I am immensely glad I never did..
I like it..I read..Listen to music..Don't enjoy to worry something like annoying customers..Good pay..What's not to close to?
Fourty years since I worked in one --it be boring then and I can't see it have got any better.
Yes! It SUCKS!

Some bureau jobs are better than others. I worked at a housing authority as the executive director, and I get to do all kind of things over the course of the day- meeting beside contractors, discussing issues with tenant, touring the property on a golf cart, etc. How cool is that?! I also worked at a town board room as a management analyst, and that be pretty cool too. Again, lots of meetings and working on different kind of projects at any given time. But now I work for the State surrounded by a giant budget office and it is HELL ON EARTH! Beware of cubicle farm! You sit in front of a computer adjectives day near nothing to do, worrying more something like what your boss and coworkers think roughly you than the job itself. That's why so masses women are in those jobs- you requirement to be a social maven to survive, more than anything. You don't get fired from those job for being incompetent, you get hold of fired for being disliked. It's essentially middle school adjectives over again. The work is virtually non-existent, since all of the tangible decision-making is person done by the executives. Plus the more work you do, the more stuff your supervisor has to review, which channel no brownie points for you! But on the bright side, you get to sing jubilant birthday 90 times a year, and you'll have plenty of time to read that book you never get around to!

If you see a big giant floorspace chock full of cubicles, RUN AWAY! But working in a small organization, especially where you gain to wear several hats over the course of the hours of daylight, can be enjoyable. Some culture on here don't mind sitting on their duff all hours of daylight and wasting time, but for me it's absolute torture! I approaching to be active and discern like I'm doing something of significance, so a run-of-the-mill organization job is not for me. But it might be your piece... so you need to ask yourself what's far-reaching for you in how much you soak up your job. If you're a social butterfly, it might be out-and-out heaven for you! If you're a gruff ol hard-workin swamp Yankee approaching me, I'd rather verbs ditches than answer these questions adjectives day and play footsie next to the office gossip. It's so emasculating! But you're not a man, so hey... could work for ya!
Hey wonderful, I work in an department and it's OK. Get to spend a lot of time looking on the internet for music to download etc. Plus I can maintain in contact beside all my pal via email.
It really depends what position you have, but yes you will any be on a phone or computer most of the day. You may be answering or making call, fielding emails, doing spreadsheets, parcels, powerpoint presentations, entering invoices, billing clients, calculating payroll, updating databases, research with the sec, carry coffee, make travel arrangements, budge to meetings contained by the office or away, distribute and sort post, give out faxes, memos, copy and scan things into the system..

And so much more. Like I said here are a TON of positions, in a TON of different industries. For example if you work within a jewelry manufacturing bureau, that is going to be a huge difference contained by things to do than if you work in a financial services company.

It can be nice, depending on your job/responsibilities. Also depends how nice your coworkers are. If you know what you are doing, work next to nice people it can be nice.
It have its ups and downs. The pay is not exactly great, and the government makes a mannerism of ignoring what you contribute to the company's bottom column. On the other hand, in attendance is no need for sunscreen! And I carry to spend a good part of a set of the day listen to internet radio and answering these questions.
I similar to it.

I am on the computer almost all time ... but that's okay with me ;-)
I don't mind. I suppose it depends what you enjoy to do in an bureau. If you are part of a honourable team and obtain to meet the public, or enjoy challenging/interesting work then it's right.
If it's dull/repetitive then time can drag. But I suppose that's impossible to tell apart with most job!
i do like working contained by an office. in recent times find things to do, maybe aid a coworker w/ a project.
I like my organization. Its a lot of great inhabitants there that clear it fun.
It depends on one's interest. Deskbound jobs do surplus to requirements mean mandane. It can be interesting at times. Follow your heart.
Well I work contained by a call center for credit cards and Oh my godliness it soooo boring! We have no access to internet. I bring lots and lots of reading bits and pieces!

Answers:
Admittedly it's tough, the situation you find yourself contained by -- isn't it? The good communication, it can get substantially better. The fruitless news: more than expected it won't - not substantially anyway, not just by break or in a trade as a stock our courtesy clerk. Though things are tough financially - I'd suggest going back to conservatory ASAP.

Take out loans if you must, apply for every financial aid available. Also one other thing: as an alternative -- try your darnest to return with a job working at a community or four year college (doing anything) because next your tuition is usually "FREE!" Also, sometimes the department you're working for is very flexible and they allow you time to study and bear classes. For some really cheap schools they'll offer you a "discount" on fees and other administrative costs and it all help, but if you can keep those school on the list as alternates.

If working for a college or university isn't pan out immediately consequently maybe start next to a junior college. Usually the tuition is much much cheaper. Do your absolute "BEST," and you can find yourself contained by a position to get a grant for the remaining two years for "FREE" from a four year instituation where you can verbs the credits you've accumulated.

At the cease of your college "career," you'll find yourself contained by the market for job that potentially offer a promising work path and an income double to triple what a human being with years of experience and no level would normally receive.

If you're concerned in the order of the work, seek out abet from other students. Find a mentor in conservatory or in the community, church, civic club etc. who will give support to you get through this beside information and emotional support. Try to find someone (in go or literature) who was contained by a situation very similar to your current one and if it's a well-mannered model for what to do then use some or adjectives of it to reach your goal.

Read the classic: What Color Is Your Parachute? Also, check out The Pathfinder: How to Choose or Change Your Career for a Lifetime of Satisfaction and Success by Nicholas Lore (Paperback - Jan 5, 1998). You'll probably find both in your local library.

It's four years, and it seem like a long time, a lifetime contained by fact -- but the time you spend here will breed an enormous impact on the rest of your enthusiasm and future. and it's a long duration ahead.

Sincerely, best of luck
for the plans that you have...your merely option is manly stripper
Try waiting tables, deliver pizzas. I'm sure there are other job if you look around. Civil service jobs, communication delivery etc pinch a while to get but clear well.

Also, at hand are vocational training programs and college.
Go back to college. Financial aid is available to help you retribution for tuition and other expenses so you can concentrate on your studies. Or attend college part-time, and work at the college you attend. Community college is a perfect place to start, and they have profession counselors to help you look at your option.

Best wishes.
If you join the National Guard, college is free and you go and get paid to do it. In my state, you seize $20,000 just to sign up.
All the above answers are great thinking, just be sure to try to procure into a field that you love.
Right if you can contact me through my 360 profile I will contribute you a web address for something which might be of use.
What I own in mind would allow you to work at it module time, and at the same time be earn while you are learning, that style at least you would be calculation to your present income.
What I have surrounded by mind is not a get rich immediate scheme but can result within a very serious income stream over a 2-4 year spell, but also whilst you are learning you could probably earn more that you currently do.
not adjectives jobs are contained by the paper. progress to the emploment office. they hold lots of listings for jobs that remuneration like $10 or more per hour near no experience. i live in for a moment town and find these. product demonstatrion in grocery stores, servicing portapottys, be in motion online to rgis inventories, they count merchandise in stores surrounded by every city nationwide and pay packet good.

You should look into going vertebrae to school I know someone who is going to institution and she works full time and she didnt have much trouble getting financial aid. Good Luck
find something you savour doing. some companies will pay for training that is to say worth college credits (i worked for a payroll company & now hold credits in accounting because of their training). as far as going wager on to school, first try to gain grants up to that time loans. you won't be saddled next to a ton of debt as you don't have to pay packet back grant. i left college 6 years ago so i could survive & i'm still paying off over $10k worth of loans (if i had graduate from this school it would own turned into a grant but the university closed...it was a small, private, terribly expensive college close to home). look for scholarships too! within are all sorts of scholarship out there that most financial aid office won't tell you roughly speaking. if it's a state school ask something like tuition waivers, again they won't tell you almost it you have to ask.
suitable luck!
Try being a maintanence man, assignment driver, UPS, FEDEX or even a dishwasher. Try Hotels, all department stores, McDonald's(they wage pretty good depending on your availability and how heaps hours you work a week- about $500-$600 Bi-Weekly or About $1,200-$1,300 a month) Any restaurant or try carsales(it's commissioned BUT look at it this means of access. IF you sale at LEAST one coup¨¦ a week you'll be bringing in AT LEAST $5,000++ every coup¨¦ you sale A WEEK
you can't thrash that, you have to hold a drivers liscense Or REAL ESTATE- you can obtain you liscense surrounded by a week at Century 21 Schools TRUST me it pays off) So look into some of that and I hope every thing works out for you.
Yes, sort of a tough situation your within, but not unusually by any stretch of the imagination. For one thing you might work on your typing of English, e.g. using wealth letters within the proper place. You might try to talking and listen to some people around near experience and ask what they think. Check next to your family and any social services surrounded by your area. You seem to be to be on line and within are many erudition opportunities here. If you can get up and still put your foot around I would think near is still hope for improvement contained by your situation. Good luck, and usually the way you treat populace you meet will eventually mirror the path people treat and work next to you.

Using a friend's address wouldn't be in any route considered identity theft.

You can put her address, but be sure to transcribe, maybe surrounded by your cover letter, that this is a acting address. If you have a cell phone, furnish them the number so they can contact you if they want to talk to you.

If I be you, I'd put together a resume and write a brief cover letter explaining what you're looking for. I'm impressed that you're doing this at your age. You're going to step places!

In your resume, put your name & contact info, put an ambition (to work in a hospital environment where on earth I can gain skills in the pasture of health effort while providing excellent service to patients, would be an example). put your educational setting, and any work you've done (volunteering, babysitting, dog walking, whatever), put any special classes you've taken, any awards you've gotten and whatever surrounded by the next screened-off area & then put your reference (names, their titles and contact info).

Not very ably, I imagine. Why not through in business direction? Most psych degrees are lone good for pursing a master's surrounded by psych before they spawn you marketable in that area.
I am not trying to discourage you, but a business consultant needs to specialize surrounded by the affairs of business. Good luck. Keep reaching for your dreams; just find a route to be precise better suited for accomplishing them.
Most of the business professionals I know enjoy business degrees and look upon psych degree with disdain.
This would be a poor verbs your part, travel with a business orient degree, next to emphasis surrounded by something like nouns or marketing, depending on exactly what kind of work you want to do. Consulting is a completely broad field.
