I think you want to be at least 14 within order to reasonably work, you may want to contact your city's newspaper and see if they call for a newspaper boy, or you can proposal to cut peoples grass/shovel snow/rake leaves (depending on the season). You can also see if you can become a mother's-helper (kind of like babysitting just the mother is home the whole time).

I have two daughters, the youngest is 13. When she requests extra money for something I've taught her to work for it. So she comes and say "Mom, is there anything I can do to earn some money?"
