I would say build suggestions for upcomming Christmas party around first of November--and set hours that truthfully would suit the staff...inculding the boss.
Best case scenario: The boss will agree and pinch it as HER OWN idea (which is fine).
Worst skin: All the brown-nosers will be too afraid to put up suggestions and the boss queen announces her inconveneint Christmas party by her time. In that event: simply RSVP. If she asks, speak about her why.

I hold never flat out lied...like made up job I didn't have or duties I didn't own. No I feel that would come rear to haunt me. But I hold left of job that I felt be either not impressive or might not give me a moral reference.
People do it plentifully, only it's not call lying on your resume... it's more creative... it's called "padding" your resume. Lying is not a highly smart thing to do... but you can usually go and get away with lining it.

Truthfully, if this is your first job they may over look your application anyways, since you dont hold any kind of experience and the Sheraton is on a upper ascend of the Hospitality industry. They tend to want someone who has customer experience (especially if you are applying for front desk), and on their "business" setting positions, they'll want someone with experience. Only entry you stand a remote chance for is housekeeping, and even after they will want someone who has experience beside "professional" housekeeping.
Best attempt would be to answer honestly. Why did you want to apply at a hotel? What appeals to you about the hospitality industry that make you want to be appart of it? What made you go out for THEIR application? Thats what the cross-question is asking.
Only you can answer this. If you truly need facilitate, or want someone else to answer this for you, then you dont deserve this employment and you may be taking a position that not only will you not close to but will take away a position for someone better qualified and/or want to be apart of this atmosphere.
