At your age you can get interview w. the most rough resume so don't waste too much time on it, work on interviewing skills they find you the jobs. Highlight your volunteer work. They will ask why you haven't have a job previously, just hold a good answer prepared.
Include on your resume and volunteer experience and political leanings in any clubs that you belong too. Also if in that was any special circumstances why you did not work ie..took keeping of sibling. put that down as well.
One tip I provide to people starting out is find out what the company does and what is going on near the company where you are interviewing. If you do not know what the company does I will not consider you for the assignment. Your resume will get you the interview and the interview will bring back you your job. During the interview it is a appropriate time to interview the interviewer. Most people close to to talk almost what they do and appreciate that you are asking about their employment and the company. It will save you from have to talk in the order of yourself the whole time in recent times make sure not to come rotten as too cocky.
