It really depends on the types of jobs you're interviewing for. For executive positions and those offering higher retribution, folks want to know what they're getting into when they hire someone...especially in admin or executive positions, where it could really hurt a business to enjoy the wrong person within those positions.
I'm not sure what your mother or your sisters do, but if they got hired after simply one or two interviews, I would think it's lower-paying, service industry positions...it's easier to bring back those jobs, because the turnover's really glorious and those jobs want to be filled suddenly.

I assume you enjoy a Bachelor's, this is good. Now you have need of training in a specific grazing land. I started work at a korean rest. at 12 washing dishes. Was it legal--of course! As long as they crawl out a W-4. But, so what? It's a job. I also worked at a chinese rest. at 13 as a busboy. This rest. have a bar, but I wasn't in attendance to be a bartender. I would caution you to hang on to track of the hours you work, so that you are paid pretty. If they screw you, you can call the Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, or your dad to slap them around some.
