For example, don't think that lately because you wait table (as an example), you just work during suppertime times. Well, on a ship, meal time is 24 hours a light of day.
Don't think that if you verbs rooms, you'll only work 8 hours a time. There's hundreds and hundreds of rooms you'll have to verbs. And even when you're not cleaning rooms, they'll have to doing something else.
There aren't a huge amount of staff. With the controlled amount of staff they can carry on the ship, staff is required to conduct several duty responsibilities.
It's a long, tricky job.

As for the suggestion of departing and finding a new living, yes you can do that, but from someone in HR, we would to some extent you come and talk beside us first. Her is why - like you said, you are not the one and only one with this complaint. It is expensive and run a lot of time to replace someone (not simply the advertising cost, but the training term for a new hand is lost production time). If there is a leader that is making the staff want to quit, next we either stipulation to replace the manager or they requirement employee relation training.
Please, since you quit, document what has be happening beside as much details as possible and go cooperate to HR. If you do not get a resolution - later your HR Department is not doing their job and you want to get out of within.
