Question:I thought Kinkos but theire website doesn't mention it...

Answers:
Office Depot or Office Max.

Also, check with in the neighbourhood hotels and motels. Virtually all of them own fax mahines though they do tend to charge rather big prices. Some limit the service to guests solely, though a couple of $$ in the paw of the desk clerk will usually get you ancient that restriction.

My local Wal-Mart also offers this service for a plausible price.

If your computer has a fax modem installed (most do) and the document is on your tricky drive you can fax it directly from your computer; just hook the phone rank to the modem and go for it.

If you're a boss, would you fire one entity if he's/she's playing solitaire on the computer?

Question:

Answers:
It depends on when the employee be doing it and if he had received a notification about it past. The first time it was caught, I meditate a discussion with the member of staff is justified near a warning not to do it again. If the hand persists and continues to do it despite person warned, consequently it may make sense.

Keep surrounded by mind though that the employees productivity and contribution level may also affect the decision. If the member of staff is highly productive, intensely valuable to the concern and really does a lot of great work, the playing of solitaire could only just be a quick approach to relieve stress or clear the head earlier jumping into the subsequent project. Or it could signify that the person merely isn't challenged adequate and needs more stimulating things to tackle. If I be the employer, I would have to look at what features of person it is and agree on if this was merely a stress relief from a productive personality or is it an unproductive person who is goofing stale way too much on company time.

Other Answers:
ummm no, im sure they do it too

No. IF theres zilch to do why would I care..As long as they're getting their work done I'd be ok near it.....then again....time is money, bring back to work. it depends, if they have nil to do and i don't have anything for them to do, later i wouldn't fire them, but if they have tons of work and deadline to meet later ya, i'd fire them.

If it's not interfering with their work, afterwards I wouldn't fire them. If it IS interfering and I've told them before to stop, consequently I would fire them.

NO

Nope... I would submit a written warning first and next remove solitaire from the computer and all other games.

I would consequently filter out Internet game usage by using net sense.

Including myself? No. If the person finished his work so why not playing.

depends on when you're doing it - if your work is suffering b/c you're playing solitaire, you could gain reprimanded or fired - but if it's at lunch, then no.

I would! Because I'm not paying them to play during work hours. I expect adjectives my employees to use their time responsibly, because failure to do so speaks volumes roughly speaking that person. I don't resembling slackers, so I would fire their sorry behinds!

Is this person completing tasks that are given? What is this people value to my company? Would I be capable of replace this person on a moments distinguish?

Just a few questions. Other entry is, are you sure that this one person is the merely one, or just the single one that you have caught an if you do know that others are doing it and someone finds out, your within trouble.

One way to knob the situation is to give a written spot that if the action is not stopped, termination will be granted. You own to make it conspicuous to everyone that playing solitaire or any other game on a work computer is not good enough.

SDSU

no. but i will give them a qualification. An if it happens again after the alarm i might consider to fire them, because there are using company time will we might be busy. No, but I would sure call the being into my office and show my displeasure and ask it to stop. You are within to work and even on your break time you are using company equipment (computer, etc) It also falls into the category of using the office phone for personal use.

no path. I'm doing RunEye.com right now at work. It's stupid to fire someone for doing that. If that's adjectives they ever did then its okay but if they're newly playing it to kill time or anything then forget going on for it

How much should my friend ask for surrounded by the first incline as a salaried member of staff?

Question:My friend works as a design engineer. How much should he ask for within his first raise?

Answers:
Tell him/her to walk to salary.com to grasp what design engineers in his/her industry/region procure paid. If he is surrounded by fact, underpaid, he/she should progress to his/her boss and back up why he/should should acquire a raise. By aid it up I mean bringing next to him/her data. Data such as what projects she/he completed, how he/she met or exceeded the customers deadline etc. If he's working in the Detroit nouns in automotive, for a Tier 1 or 2 supplier, DE's salary's start at $55K for a college grad/entry even and can make up to 100k. If he/she works for one of the Big 3 or OEM, the minimum of the payband is highly developed. When he/she gets the gross structure from salary.com, depending how much experience he have, he can divide his/her salary by what remuneration.com has and doesn`t matter what percentage that comes out to is what he/she should ask for.

Other Answers:
Well depending on what her status is she should consider asking for something that is acceptable not off the track....
When asking for a incline, you have to explain to your employer how increasing your remuneration will increase your value to the company.

Gather details of the work you've done to date and show how this have made the company more profitable either through increasing income or reducing expenses.

Many companies restrict the total money amount of raise that managers can set aside. Some employees will acquire little or none whilst others may get substantial raise as long as the expenditures for the entire team are inwardly guidelines. It helps to know how your company handle raises. Discuss this next to your manager as you come up to your annual review.

What are requirements for individual a pilot?

Question:What classes? College education? Great smile?

Answers:
To be a private pilot you inevitability 40 hours of flight time, at least ten next to an instructor I think. To be a commercial airline pilot, you stipulation at least 1500+ to get hold of your license, and probably more to be noticed by an airline. If I remember you also stipulation to be somewhat experienced with multi-engine planes. Training other helps.

Other Answers:
A great couple of sunglasses.. hehe.
To operate an aircraft in the United States, you must be licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which since 9/11 is division of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). There are several levels of pilot's license; the most core is the Private Pilot license. This license permits the holder to pilot an aircraft anywhere surrounded by the United States, and to carry passenger. A Private Pilot may not be paid to fly an aircraft (to transfer an aircraft from one location to another, for example), nor carry passenger or cargo for hire or compensation. However, you may share definite expenses with your passenger (with some restrictions).

The necessary steps to earn this license are:

Pass a underlying medical examination.
Receive the required amount of instruction from a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI).
Pass a written nouns (100 multiple-choice questions).
Pass a "checkride" (aircraft equivalent of a driving test) given by an FAA-approved examiner.

How much does it cost?
Many factors will affect the final cost, including the location of where on earth you train (rural vs. urban), the type of training aircraft, your learning stride and style, even things like weather. If I have to pick a number, I would say budget at lowest possible $8,000, or even $10,000 if you plan to fly in an urban nouns such as the San Francisco Bay Area, where I fly. This amount includes aircraft rental, flight instruction, books, charts, examiner fees, etc. You don't call for to pay this money adjectives at once. Most flight schools operate on a pay-as-you-go spring, so the cost will be spread out over the time you are working on your license.

How long will it take?
To receive a Private Pilot license, the FAA requires student pilots own a minimum of 40 hours of flight time, of which 20 must be dual (flying with an instructor). However, these are MINIMUMS. No one I know completed their training within 40 hours. I took 66 hours. The national average is 60 to 70 hours. About half of your flight time will be next to an instructor, and and the rest "solo." For every flight hour, expect an additional 2-3 hours of reading, flight planning, and ground review next to your instructor.

To maintain a appropriate rate of progress, plan for two to three sessions per week, of two to three hours per session. Plan to schedule a few more sessions than you call for, since some will be cancelled because of weather, aircraft maintenance, bad health, etc. At this rate, you should be able to earn your license surrounded by six to eight months.

What topics will I need to swot up?
Here is a brief overview of some of the topics you will need to master surrounded by order to earn a pilot's license:

Aircraft systems: the central components of an airplane, engine, flight controls, instruments, and how they operate.
Aerodynamics: basic priciples of how an airplane is competent to leave the ground, and how to control it once airborne.
Navigation: how to use aviation map and radio navigation aids to get you and your aircraft to your destination.
Weather: fundamental concepts of weather formation, and how to obtain and interpret weather information that may affect your flight.
Aircraft operation: just as in attendance are rules for operating automobiles on roads and highways, here are rules governing the operation of aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Regulations: the applicable portions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) which govern license of pilots and the licensing and operation of aircraft surrounded by the USA.

Where should I go for flight training?
The first step to research to fly an airplane is to find a place to train. A quick method to locate flight training facilities is to look within the Yellow Pages(tm) under "Aircraft Flight Instruction." However, not adjectives schools flaunt there, so the Yellow Pages won't put in the picture you all your option. However, usually at least one college at each airport will lay it on thick. So, from the Yellow Pages, you can at least swot up the locations of all the local airports.
definity a college ed w/some sort of scope in the maths. a literature level is useless. military route is one way, but these days civilian training is most popular. there are encounter schools that are also colleges where on earth u can earn both a ba and flight training. A usual route from flight school is to be a flight instructor to build up hours and experience. breed sure you get qualified within twin engine aircraft as soon as posible. twin engine time is important. airline pilots are not the best job nowaday, corporate and/or charter is the best way to travel.
The requirements for being a pilot differs from country to country. If you want to be a combatant pilot, you need foolproof eyesight, preferably a college education, pass by certain physical fitness test and health checks.

How do I successfully ask for better reward durig an interview?

Question:Like before you attain hired.

Answers:
The first thing you requirement to do is be confident but not aggressive. Sell yourself! You are not only individual interviewed, but you are also interviewing the company. Go in beside the knowledge that they want you, not the other way around. Let them know what you can bring about for them and they will be willing to listen and negotiate next to you.

Other Answers:
You just let somebody know them what your skills are and you would only help yourself to the job for x amount of money. Tell them what an asset you would be to thier business.
find out what the open market is for someone with your skills and experience. next offer your interviewer a field that reflects the souk and the salary you would approaching rather than a tricky figure
It depends on whether you are asking for a resaonable amount or not. Employers enjoy a number of things to consider when hiring a challenger, the person's current salary, their experience stratum and whether the salary will end in internal equity (current employee salary) issues. In my experience, it is best to enjoy done your research so you know your worth in the open market. Also,if you can, know your worth to that employer. Since I recruit for a living, I can narrate you that if your request is unreasonable, an employer usually will say no unless they are desperate or the position have been tough to fill. During the interview, the HR character will not agree on a number and we have adjectives been told to do like. I find that the candidates who grasp what they want know what they are worth and are not just trying to return with more money. That is a turn off to an employer. So, do your research, know your worth, and it doesn't hurt to ask for rather more with the notion that if the employer give you a little smaller number, it might still be what you want.
You don't you sit back and shut your mouth.
Marry the owners daughter! That seem like a "no brainer" put somebody through the mill! You ask- they either will or won't! It have only two issues. First, are here a million other applicants? Two, corporate America is most likely going to hire the "cheapest" they can take! Just go to some of these companies and veiw in attendance "quality" people! Speaks for itself!! If you want the available job, I would take what they volunteer, get your foot contained by the door, then harrass them for more money! What's the worst can happen-you take fired for asking?
Source(s):
Webster's book of basic IQ's
NEVER ask give or take a few pay during an interview unless thae interviewer brings it up, which even next you shouldn't give data. Research the job description on net.com and keep that integer in mind so that if they ask, you explain to them the amount that you researched then affix that you will be willing to negotiate.

Bringing up money tell the employer that you are only intrested contained by the money and not the job so that automatically eliminate you from the choices. If they day ask, by unfolding them that you will negotiate, they usually go deeper contained by that discussion after you are hired. good Luck
You own to keep surrounded by mind one thing when negotiate for money. A company in this stage (unless you're a lofty paying executive) doesn't view you as a entity. They view you as a number. You stipulation to go into this near that in mind. They could attention to detail less what you muse you've done that's so great. They ask themselves one question. How much money can this party make me. Then you enjoy to take into side that if you ask for a number higher than what they are planning to take-home pay and then latter give contained by to a lower amount, you just told them right sour the that you think you're worth more and that can be a risk to a company. As much as you're within it for job shelter, so are they. They now own one more idea to hire someone else who is happy near the money and therefore smaller number likely to embezzle the job for the time but really be trying to find another assignment for more money. Let them throw out the first offer and later ask yourself if you're willing to lose the assignment to ask for more. Also ask yourself if you really are worth more or if you'd just close to a bigger paycheck.
Usually its good not to ask for more money until you are working for at most minuscule 90 days Keep in mind in attendance are others looking for the same position If you have have a number of years surrounded by the same pen and can show that you have be with indistinguishable co for a few years that will help them to set aside you more money
While in the interview process, this is where on earth you are selling yourself. The employer has to buy into how much you are worth. It is up to you to provide it to him/her. Most positions in companies do hold a salary field, but you can always shoot for the top.
Source(s):
me
Tell them your all right qualified, an hard unswerving worker and worth every dime (with a smile)
Also add you necessitate at least this much to live on if within seems to still be doubt.
You totally enjoy to sell yourself. This is one time it is appropriate to be cocky, assertive, confident and polite but strong. It help if what you are asking for is close to or at least alike as what you were making in the past (it shows that you were already worth it). But If up until in a minute you have worked for $10 per hour, it will be knotty to get a foreign employer to pay you $20 per hour.

anyone work for walmart? and do you delight in it? grant me your apposite or discouraging stories.?

Question:

Answers:
Im not from the US and would really like 2 know what Walmart is adjectives about

Other Answers:
walmart are a bunch of assholes to work for. i worked for them for 17 months when they fired me because i could not progress 2nd shift. i have three children and a sick husband and they needed me to switch shifts. i said no and they fired me. nice people huh.

I know someone who works for them and he doesn't hold that many doomed to failure stories that I can remember. In fact he is becoming the officer of the store where I live. At our local Wal-mart, I enjoy not heard of ONE personage who likes their errand! NOT ONE! They are overworked, underpaid and treated like peons:(

I worked for walmart for almost 3 months. I hated everyday I go there. I worked within the women's department and I had a cold and go to work one day and the entity on the shift before me didn't put any of the clothes away from the dressing room or from the customer service return desk. There be like 8 grocery cart full of clothes that needed to be put back and folded. And the bit was tore up. There be clothes everywhere. So I clocked out and walked out. It be the best thing I ever did.

Wal-Mart sucks to work for. It wasn't the race, it was corporate. Nice guys who are manager are trained to be brainwashed idiots. They're forced to act that route. They never helped on the floor, never be out there to oblige and were necessarily given the freedom to do whatever they looked-for to. I saw the store manager adjectives of three times when I was working two months. This guy literally be never there, he be a king amongst kings who could do as he wished, as long as the district proprietor wasn't around. From the top on down, everyone is treated like dirt. The department manager, you can half-trust, as long as you're making money. However, from there on up, things bring back bad. The assistant manager treat the help approaching garbage, the store co-manager treats his assistant executive badly, as you usually see him cower back him, then you see the co-manager cower beforehand the store manager, and he cowers contained by absolute suspicion of the DM. The weird item is, you're never complimented there. The end week I was in that, I found the whole system to be transparent. There are more cameras within there than workers. They achieve on you for every little mistake or conversation. They get on you when you're not doing anything wrong, which is insane. You label them money and they get on you.

Wal-Mart desires better management. They're vastly efficient, but their corporate culture is psychosis.
