I'm an Employment Consultant in Raleigh, NC. I convey people to UPS for box handleing positions. The position, at least here, requires plentifully of physical stamana. Continous, non-stop lifting of upto 75 lbs. You begin work at a set time and finish whenever the trucks stop comming. It could be 5 hrs, it could be 12 hrs...and you don't grasp so much as a bathroom break while you are there. The environment is freezing cold surrounded by the winter and hot as all blazes contained by the summer. Holiday times obviously enjoy alot more work than normal (especially Christmas). I am both a licensed insurance agent and the inspector of accounts receivable for a large disaster-restoration company within Florida. I love my work...it's hectic, stressful and crazy, but I wouldn't trade it!
I won't be doing this for the rest of my life, though.
I plan on getting my adjuster's license soon. Then I'll work some CAT duty (catastrophic duty) and retire hasty!
