Question:I have be at my current job since August of end year. There is a very giant turnover rate where I work. When relations leave, in attendance is generally a cake surrounded by the break room. Today I received an email from a co-worker who sent this to a select few. I was on the index but uncertain of why. Our co-worker is departure. I have have very fixed contact with her. The email asked for an $8 contribution toward a endowment that costs $92 and a lunch also. The lunch will be part of our squad meeting. I really can't afford to do this because we are contained by between paydays, but also-no one else has received this treatment. Would it be best for me to chafe together the money, and play nice in the sandbox, or merely write an explanation to the originator of the email? Other than that, no explanation is truly necessary since you aren't friends beside the co-worker that is departure! First off, the coworker who's disappearing, is it a member of nouns who has be there for fairly a while? Also, the person who emailed you asking for your support, are they paperwork? If the answer to either of these question is yes, I would consider making a contribution (that doesn't mean you enjoy to do the whole $8....you can other give $3 and explain simply utter that is adjectives you can spare at this time). If the answer is no, and you're not close with this personality who is leaving, simply don't make a contribution. There is no shame in not man able to dish out for someone who is merely an acquantaince. I would reply to the e-mail and ask if the sender is sure that they expected to include you. Be polite. Something like, "I'm not sure if you designed to send this to me. I'm not really close to 'Mary,' so I'm not sure why I be included on this."
Wait for their reply. Perhaps they meant to distribute it to another person. Perhaps they're merely looking for people to backing split the cost of an expensive present. If they don't take your connotation that you don't care to be included, it could be politically prudent to cough up the $8 unless you really can't afford it.
From your grill, it sounds like population there may not appreciate that $8 is abundantly to some people, and may have an idea that you're being petty or tight-fisted. You know your co-workers, and only you can best guess how they'd take action if you refused. If you guess they'd hold it against you, try to come up with the money. I worked within an office where on earth the manager insisted that everyone donate "at least" $10 to the United Way cause. I think I would ask the personality who had sent the email to spot you the $8.00 until payday. I looked up that company and found all kind of complaints about population not receiving their magazine. I didn't see anything about checking accounts self drained, but that doesn't mean it have never happened.
