Now they articulate, you want money, don't get married, don't procure a job, and own babies. This is welfare and it actually hurts the family it tries to help. But immediately people expect it from the senate and complain when it is reduced.
Worse, this attitude goes into our overall style of thinking. An "I am an American, so I should get..." belief. We want the free payment when we buy something... The cash rebate from a sports car, the free toy from cereal, the Buy one get one free from Payless shoes.
This rant can dance on into our ideas on immigration or how he see the rest of the world. But the truth is, individuals in other countries are close to this too, just not to the extent the U.S. is. We are the spoiled child of the world.
