I think it is for a moment bit of both. Some people purely don't want to work. They want to get the paycheck lacking doing the work necessary to do the duty. My sister could enjoy had any number of these job when she was a pubescent, but she refused to work them because they be not up to her classification of a good brief. My nephew is now refuse jobs that would earn him money so he can enjoy a car to drive, because they are beneath him. He lone wants consistent types of jobs.
I reflect that the younger generation is. I don't know around most of you out there, but I have to work to buy my first car. I started working when I be 13 just so that I could own spending money if I wanted it. It seem to me that the younger generation is getting everything hand to them by their parents so they really don't appreciate the value of working for what you enjoy. That really depends on the college district. I used to volunteer in a couple different school in different districts surrounded by the Denver area. Some would require that if the trainer wanted to put ANYTHING contained by the room, they had to return with it cleared by a board of administrators. Others have very few limitations as to what is and what is not agreeable.
There are problems they can find with almost anything if they try firm enough. For example, near plants, many children are allergic. Artwork and Statues that can be IN ANY WAY construed as sexual, obscene, licentious, or religious can be banned. Fishtanks are hazardous for kids and for the fish. They can be knocked over, tamper with, hold juive thrown into them, etc, and kids poke on the class, which can scare the fish to a life-threatening end.
As for props, it depends on the potential for a child to brand name them dangerous (in CO school, danger is a BIIGGG factor ever since 04/20/1999 if you know what I mean), and again, thier propensity for one construed or used as religious, sexual, obscene.
