Question:Is it better to apply for a job as soon as the position is posted, or hang about until the last daylight to put in an application? Or does it really event in now of HR software?Answers:
In this day and age it really doesn't concern. HR software scans the resume for unmistaken key words and tell me which person to telephone. If i get a treatise application i scan it as soon as i get it for alike buzzwords and experience; provided it is not too long to do so on the spot. If the resume is long i usually just put it on my desk somewhere never to be see or heard from again. Oops oh economically! Make it short and to the point if it is a paper resume.

Have my own business.. There are two school of thought. The first is to simply apply as your application is going to be first received and therefore on the bottom of the stack and thus the LAST one looked at.
By equal token, there are those thatfeel for like peas in a pod reason, you should dawdle a day or two past you apply so that your resume ends up near the top of the stack and you hold a better chance of man the first to impress the interviewer.
My thoughts go beside the second one.

how to become a member of staff making documentaries contained by the national geographic or discovery channel?

well, those are severely elite job, so you need to be a fairly elite filmmaker and scientist to really trade name it. You would get a biddable start by pursuing a dual degree contained by filmography and geography or some other specialized field (natural science, anthropology, etc.). The more private the school, the better- I visualize most of their people are ivy league.
Then surrounded by your junior or senior year of college, you would want to get an internship next to them, like this one:

You will obligation some investment money or some very financially-supportive parents, because you'd probably hold to relocate and you wouldn't get rewarded much, if anything. But that's your big foot in the door, and from within it's a matter of becoming a sensible member of the troop and showing them what you're worth!
It's a VERY competitive field to attain into, but if this is somethiong you've worked towards your whole go, then it's specifically in the empire of possibility. But just remember, anything similar to that is adjectives or nothing- if you're not 100% invested into it, then those culture who are will beat you to it. A lot of these folks were making little camcorder films and writing their first doccumentry screenplays within spiral notebooks when they be in middle institution, so you need to ask yourself if you can become that awestruck and committed to doccumentary filmmaking, and if you have the tremendous creative and intellectual talent needed to be one of the best. NG and DSC can afford to single hire the best, so that's what you need to strive for.

I prefer to answer the phone as it rings, but sometimes I do consent to it go to message because there's too various calls, too frequent requests, or I'm doing something else that requires concentration without interruption. You must hold a job that puts you at the center of the operation or a portion of it, so that cause calls to dike though you. My bosses comment just about my cancer?
Question:I was diagnosed 2 years ago when I be 29 and 8 months pregnant, and thankfully am finished near everything now (except my pill for another 3 years). I be told by a co-worker (whom I TOTALLY trust) that our boss basically told her that it's be two years, I should be over it (having cancer) now.I worked adjectives through my treatments (chemo and radiation), the only time I have off be for surgeries, I believe I do my job economically. I am having a not easy time working for this lady. Well, I other have have a hard time, but even more so in a minute. Is what she said even legal?
Answers:
If your boss in truth said it, first off, that soul is ignorant on what cancer is contained by the first place and how the body relates.
Being said through a third person perspective minus evidence, it might be hard to build a satchel. We don't have adjectives of the details so it is hard for anyone to truly enlighten you what is the best option base on what we understand.
If you surface strongly over it and want to address it, consult with your HR department if you hold one as a first step. Or there is lawful assistance available. Some people may in fact try to consult with the boss to permit them know how they felt going on for it, though taking it on a personal level may explanation more issues; therefore, I would not recommend that alternative.
Keep up the great work of fighting the cancer sour.
Other Answers:
No it's not...she's creating a hostile work environment and it also harrasment. I'd contact EEOC and a lawyer!
I don't know. If you get the impression that strongly about it perchance you should consult a lawyer. Contact a legal representative who gives free first consultations. I don't know if it's trial or not but it is very , extremely wrong!
I don't know whether her comment was criminal or not, but it certainly be rude and inconsiderate. Does she have a supervisor you could dance to and talk to? That would be my subsequent move if I were contained by your situation. By the way best of luck to you beside your illness.
I contemplate perhaps your co-worker incorrectly interpreted what your boss said. From what you write, your boss said something resembling "since it's been two years, you should be over it" -- I don't have an idea that that he meant you should be over it and that you should quit whining or worrying around it, I think he probably expected that since it's been two years, you are "out of the woods" from cancer so to speak. Cancer patients are normally told that once treatment for cancer is finished, if there is no echo of cancer for two years, than chances are, you will not obtain cancer again -- "you'd be over it" -- in other words -- you're surrounded by the clear and are not at risk for another bout of cancer. So I wouldn't take it instinctively -- to me it sounds like your boss is optimistic that two years have elapsed near no recurrence of the cancer and he is glad that you're in a minute "over it". -- Know what I mean?parallex error?
Question:an engineer today told me that I be using my indicator wrong and that i would get parralex error reading the way that i be using it?Answers:
Parallax error is when something (usually a needle) is viewed from such an angle that it give a false result.
Try viewing an analogue clock from far left, next straight ahead then far right. You will see that it tell a different time (only by a few minutes but this could be important). This can also apply when looking from above or below.
All instruments are designed to be viewed from a unique angle - usually from immediately within front. Move your head to be surrounded by front and it will give you the most accurate reading.
Other Answers:
that mechanism u r looking at your indicator from a wrong position.sometimes if u look at it in from the wrong direction you might procure a wrong reading, this is called parallax error.to avoid parallax error u should look at it from straight above it .
Some meters hold a thin arc of mirror next to the scale printed above it. You move your lead until the needle lines up beside it's reflection. Then you know you hold it right.

realtor: commission only (comfortable beside that?), long hours yielding little to balanced results, it's a sales chore (numbers game), don't need money, per se, do stipulation contacts (i.e. people predisposed to buy, sell, etc.), license, does your state require you to have one? some do some don't. Bottomt smudge, if you can stick it out and get to know the right general public, very rewarding both financially and perosnally. don't expect instant results or even somewhat immediate results. take time and you get out what you put surrounded by.

mortgage broker, deal near realtors daily and hear their gripes.
Intern at an appraiser firm that you conjecture is good-- try commercial as home market is decreasing-- pilfer state licensing experiment & pass; marry association fo realtors; join your city's planning board or at most minuscule go to their meeting; go to weekly realtor unstop house meetings & assemble other realtors (as these are the people who will transport you business for appraisals) and most importantly when given an assignment get your appraisal out soon & make sure it is accurate. I'm an appraiser, and I would not recommend going into this pen.
You have to run 90 hours of education to become an intern. Then you own to intern for 2 years and accumulate 2400 hours of experience. Then you own to take the exam to become either licensed or certified. Licensed appraisers are almost bygone, so you'd have to become certified. You would necessitate another 35 hours of education and hold to survive a grueling test.
Then, once you truly have your license, you enjoy to go out and return with clients. The business pays well, but it's Federally regulated, unlike any other existing estate business, so it's basically especially risky. You're risking your livelihood every day. However, if you're still interested, IREAS.com is a flawless start. But I'd recommend becoming an agent. They have it plentifully easier and the potential for profit is a lot greater.
