you know what... women are social creatures..gossiping is the method of social interaction. But if it go beyond control..then it is an addiction.For your information men do that too..but they are to busy near their egos. It's because they want to cart the focus away from themselves. If a women feels threatened by another woman, afterwards most of the time they will try to compensate for that feeling of fault by trying to shift that focus on to someone else. It is sort of a never closing moments cycle...it really isn't to make friends its sort of a bonding piece to talk smack.I am a woman who have worked with men for times gone by 15 years. Women analyze everything, where on earth men just adopt things the way they are. Everyone is competative, by hook or by crook and women seem to compete by using "stories", ie: who have the best story to tell. Not that men don't do this, but it's not such a competition for them (they compete more physically). Women are traditionally the story-tellers if you look rear legs in history (native american, etc) - not JUST women, but the majority are. I guess it's freshly in our blood, but, one-sidedly, I prefer the simple conversations created by men. I've worked in construction (equipment operator), as in good health as farming (potato harvest).
I've also found that women who would to some extent hang out beside men are better friends to me as well. Maybe we freshly understand respectively other better.

In my opinion, Housekeepers are the greatest relations around!! I mean, who could disagree?
