Question:to take a prospect on a really fun profitable business that is a home "party" business? It's fun, enriching & very profitable. How can you not enjoy fun holding wine tastings in peoples homes... Even the general public who do not drink have a great time and purchase things as gifts.. -Mandarin classes should be no problem to find, as long as you're in a key city. If not, you could probably hire a private teacher. Contact the nearest University, and they might own classes or teachers predisposed to take you on.
-Finding work for a regulation firm would be incredibly difficult, unless you already speak and read mandarin. Honestly, I've been here for three years, and enjoy never met a lawyer from a western country. You will hold a much better chance of finding work as a don; whether or not you find this appealing, it is the profession of the vast majority of foreigners working within Taiwan.
-Again, your best chance at obtain a work visa is through a teaching work, probably a buxiban (cram school). If you are serious about studying Mandarin, though, you also may want to consider getting a student visa instead. Less newspaper work and you can still work (off the books, of course)
