I once worked at a country music station in Kentucky near a DJ named Michael. Not Mike, Michael. Michael sounded resembling a combination of Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Randolph Scott, and Tyrone Power on the air. Unfortunately he be 6 foot 10 in any given direction, have a head that come to a point and forced total strangers to cross the street when he came within their direction. Dogs would lower their gaze and run rotten in the converse direction.
Perhaps unsurprisingly he was also extraordinarily devout. Now, exactly what religious affiliation Michael kept remains a mystery to this day because it be apparently against his religion to discuss his religion. All I do know for a fact is that Michael powerfully refused to whoop it up any holidays whatsoever, and would actively tell you that he did not believe surrounded by Christmas, or Hanukkah, or Mardi Gras, or Cinco de Mayo, or Armistice Day, or even Clinique Bonus Days. No, in his estimation of the world adjectives holidays were inherently evil and pagan surrounded by nature.
No recounting what he thought of birthdays, though I cannot imagine him in truth having one.
Michael have the remarkable ability to get everyone and everthing in a room discomfited just by stepping within. Believe me when I tell you that you other knew when he come in, even if you did not see or hear him enter. The atmosphere instantly soured, the music self played lost some of its tone, your blood ran somewhat colder. Plants would visibly wither after a day within his presence, much to the chagrin of our receptionist Mona who felt it her duty to protect every fern and poinsettia.
I will never forget the year he 'dismissed' me as being hellbound and unworthy of further thought. Upon finding out that I had every intention of departure the station on a Sunday morning and celebrating Christmas near my family at home. At that point, something inside him snapped and he fixed me near the most malevolent glare I own ever seen. Then he said (in a voice that sounded resembling Alfred Drake on Enzyte);
"Pagan holidays...going to hell. I don't talk to you anymore."
And he didn't for the subsequent 9 months I worked there.
Years subsequent I heard that Michael have become some kind of church prescribed and had not here...society.

I have spent the finishing seven years working in optometry. I own done everything from running a lab (making glasses), retail, dispensing, and managing. You should start out at a company that offers excellent on the brief training....Lenscrafters. They are great!! They pay you more and more as you move through the training program (6 mos to a year long) and they enjoy great benefits. If you live in a state i.e. licensed (check the ABO website) you may have to bring back licensed eventually but in the genesis you work under someone specifically. You can get ABO (american board of opticianry)certified and NCL certified surrounded by which you will make more money and own more opportunities within management. The money is ok, same as a pharmacy tech. But near a pharmacy tech placement usually an associate degree is required.
