Can employer prorate a salaried employee's reimburse?

Question:I worked four hours one day and my boss prorated my clear for the rest of the day? Boss closed bureau at noon to bring staff to a baseball activity. I was beneath the impression if you are on stipend you receive the same settle up no matter what. What are the rules of take-home pay? Does my boss own me like he say he does 24/7?

Answers:
I disagree with some of the opinion you've received. By law, salaried organization CANNOT be docked for a partial day, but can be docked for an entire missed hours of daylight. He could respectfully request, if possible, that you receive up the time.

He also needs to be okay with his requests for you individual around. He does not own you 24/7.

That all anyone said, my best advice is to verbs out the classifieds and look around. This supervisor sounds like a shudder . . . my guess is that the baseball game be what HE wanted to do, and he could maintain it better by taking everyone.

Other Answers:
if you are on a salary, you are supposed to be remunerated the same amount respectively week, whether you work or not.
I would have thought you be still working as you were underneath the instruction of your boss.
Yes, he can. Unfortunately a misconception by many, time missed can be docked and overtime not compensated. A fixed consideration before accepting a salaried position.
Without press you should be PAID. That's one of the benefits of being a salaried member of staff. ADDITIONALLY, your boss chose to close the office for a company outing, this be not your decision. He owes you currency!

Flutterby, this was the boss' ruling to close the office, she have no choice.
you should check your employment contract.
No a boss can not prorate an employees reimburse. And basically freshly because he took the office to a baseball activity he chose to close the office so that's his own problem.
yes net is typically base of a 45 hour work week, you are also entitled to overtime, as far as the ownership issue, right luck if that is his mind set
I am assuming when you articulate you are a salaried employee, that you are also an exempt member of staff. As an exempt employee, you should receive a full days wage even if you lone work a partial day. On like note, exempt workers are "exempt" from receiving over time (as others hold suggested you should have received).

Also, your boss can not force anyone to attend the baseball activity. It should be an option, but not mandatory. He should go off the office open out for those that choose not to participate contained by the off site outing.

Outsourcing and effecs on the employment bazaar?

Question:

Answers:
Mostly it is the low tech jobs resembling call centers are man outsourced. As for the high tech job like advanced computer programing are man outsourced because they arent enough qualified Americans to fulfill them.

Other Answers:
What? Could you explain this a moment or two bit. What is it that you are trying to ask?
Outsourcing reduces job in country next to absolutely no consideration of the overall impact. I'm a PC Technician and rollout specialist, I also work as a general contractor doing installation of electrical system etc. My father is a mechanical cook up designer/checker with a specialization surrounded by special machinery design. He was out of work for 5 years after the sports car companies in the US moved adjectives of the support engineering out of country to reduce member of staff overhead. That means that hundred of $50-100K/Yr. job left, which way that not a penny of any of that money is being spent here contained by the USA. Now I don't begrudge a company making a profit but when you move the job out of country it means that smaller quantity people here work and own money to spend and that means they don't move about out to eat and tip the waitress or buy a book within a bookstore. This causes various effects, from deadening the discount in areas particularily artificial by the moving of the jobs, to reducing overall GNP and duty bases for our affairs of state to draw against to improve and guard our country. In my own respect, the job souk in what one human being reffered to as "low-tech" (those jobs hold paid my bills for years and very soon there aren't ANY!) and "high-tech" (like my father) enjoy been occupied by local people for years and it is with the sole purpose the draw of reduction of member of staff overhead that moves the jobs out-country. This will enjoy serious effects on our economy for YEARS to come.

Can you help out me kind a 5 personality 24 hour coverage programme?

Question:i need relief putting together a schedule for 5 family, 8 hour shifts for 24 hour coverage... can you help me out>?

Answers:
Make a spreadsheet beside work times listed down the vanished side and days of the week across the top. Fill in the hand names where on earth they need to be. Having a ocular will help you and the body see how it works. Try to keep everyone doing like peas in a pod times every day for a week or two. I don't know the hours involved here but I can totally show you a indication.

10p-8a
7a-3p
9a-5p
1p-9p
3-11p
That should do it for ya. Good luck

Other Answers:
How many family have to be near at the same time?

5 those, 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week, doesn't leave deeply of time for overlap, but this might work.

Person 1: M-F 6am-2pm
Person 2: Su-W 2pm-10pm; Th 10am-6pm
Person 3: Th-M 10pm-6am
Person 4: T-W 10pm-6am; Th-Sa 2pm-10pm
Person 5: T, W, F 10am-6pm; Sa-Su 6am-2pm

You may be able to adjust a few of the hours, but not heaps, otherwise they'll not have adequate time to sleep between shifts. Best of luck to you.

Are married force more considerable to companies than single personnel?

Question:

Answers:
I wouldn't say they are more big, because depending on the company's benefits offerings, a married employee could cost the company more.

But, unanimously speaking, married employees tend to be more stable within their jobs, because they must weigh the financial considerations of disappearing the position and having to linger until they can get subsidise on insurance with the subsequent employer.

Other Answers:
Yes. Statistically.

Statistically a married employee is more dependable as he/she have people depending on them.

Women body that are single are even a bigger risk as they tend to get married and quit their charge.

This is not me talking.. it is statistics.

In practice at hand is nothing more big than the right man or woman in the right spot. It is merely a calculating tool for awfully big companies.
Both have their pros and cons. Married nation are more likely to stay at a company, need the stability. However, single people don't own family obligation and genenerally keep kids out of the picture.
never hear of it. i'm single and just as major. it's about what you do for the company, not if ure married or not.
No. But I do imagine that many conservative employer, in specific, view a married hand as more stable than a single employee. However, within this day and age of divorce mortal very adjectives, I'm not sure I necessarily agree with that perception. (I am a married hand, by the way.)
Neither one is more key than the other. I've been both a single hand and a married employee (not at like peas in a pod time, though!) and the quality of my work and work ethic didn't tuning. What makes a fitting employee have less to do beside marital status than the talent of the relationship with the employer and the employee's work ethic.
It used to be thought that married workforce were more "settled" and be considered more important. This be mainly because it be thought that women were solitary in the work force until they could "snare a husband." It is not such an vital point now, except surrounded by few instances. One of those instances is insurance, if it offered by the company. My employer had to retribution nearly three times as much for my insurance as my married co-workers. I don't know why, but I saw the paperwork, so I know it's true.

Things get better as you move up.

Other Answers:

though I do not work for an investment firm anymore, I still work contained by the industry and find nowadays I do not work on the weekends that much excluding reading the newspaper, articles, or watching tv shows associated near my career. most of my weekend work is done when a massive project is thrown my way and sometimes you in recent times have no choice.
