Customer Service Theories?

Does anybody know any theories relating to customer service. I am doing a project to do with investigating style between two different institutions (a shop and cafe) and need to find out if here are any ways in which staff are expected to speak to customers.
I own searched for articles and theories on G00GLE but cannot find any!


Answers: I'm not sure what you scrounging by theories. Customer service should be the same regardless of where on earth it is being practised. The point is to treat the customer how you yourself would expect to be treated.

I'm not sure there is a 'handbook' so to speak, surely it's lately common sense? Treat your customers in good health and they will come back, treat them unsuccessfully and they wont.

Kum and Go Gas Station?

Why did they call it Kum and Go? When I see the signs, I freshly think of dirty thought. I enjoy a co-worker that said she would not work there because it's approaching "whores to go". Anyway, does anyone know what's up with the entitle?


Answers: W.A. Krause and T.S. Gentle founded the Kum & Go, L.C. on September 1, 1959. When the two Hampton entrepreneurs opened their small full-service gas station, they couldn't enjoy known it be only the establishment of a business which would become known for unmatched ingenuity and courageous risk-taking.
In 1963, base on a desire to further serve customers, Kum & Go, L.C. introduced the convenience store concept by offering fuel and merchandise – converting their "gas station" into a "station store."
In 1964, Kum & Go, L.C. entered the trucking business next to the purchase of Solar Transport.
The gasoline shortage of the 1970s prompted Kum & Go to find other opportunities to expand, including the purchase of a snowmobile distribution company.
By deferred 1977, Kum & Go, L.C. had grown to 65 convenience stores employ 327 people.
In the precipitate 1980s, Chieftain Corporation was started to provide long-term Kum & Go associates beside the opportunity to own and operate convenience stores as stockholders. Started with a $5,000 investment, the Chieftain Corporation is very soon worth $500,000.
The 1980s brought further innovations in convenience near the addition of snatched serve restaurants – including Blimpie, Taco John's and Burger King – in several stores and full-service bank adjacent to eleven switch stores.
In 1988, the headquarters were moved from Hampton to West Des Moines – the fastest growing city within Iowa. Corporate decisions could very soon be made from the central sector of the state and country.

In 1996, K&G open 22 new stores.

In 1998, Kum & Go added 122 clean stores.
In early 1999, the company cap a decade of phenomenal growth with the getting hold of of an additional 45 stores.
In 2002, Iowa gain another 12 stores, including 7 in Des Moines, 2 surrounded by Fort Dodge and one each surrounded by Oskaloosa, Carroll and Grinnell.
In 2003, the company entered into a matchless business partnership with CENEX Energy. Leveraging its extensive

What do you think about Microsoft's offer to buy Yahoo!?




Answers: I don't like it. I hope the authorities will prevent the merger :/ I always loved the image of Yahoo! - imo you can just feel the perfectionist, playful and human ideology their products are being made with.

If microsoft would get in control, those things will all slowly evaporate and will be replaced by dull, old-tech products…
