Can a board of directors exclude a board associate from attending a board assemblage for any apology?
My husband was excluded from and not given observe for a board meeting. He is on the board of this non profit coorporation. The subject of the scheduled time was the board's dissatisfaction near his job manners. The outcome of the meeting be that he was put on a 30 time probationary notice - i.e. disciplinary commotion. I see this as unjust because he be not able to attend the school assembly and advocate for himself. Several of the board member work with the non profit business, but some do not. Thus, they hear only one side of the story. Anyone beside any insight/help is greatly appreciated!Answers: Normally, NO.

um, yeah. all member of the board must receive notice of adjectives meetings. unless the company's rules (ask to see the company book) state otherwise. But I believe that your husband is probably entitled to create meeting of his own as well. He might want to invite everyone to a engagement to express his side of the story and to invite an open discussion of the topic. ha.
but better than that, aside from permissible action, he should dispatch out letters to board member about the situation, stating his side of the story, and that he required to be sure he was not misrepresented. everything that he does should be within writing, and a copy given to the secretary to include in their company book, the narrative of all meeting, etc. including perhaps a reminder to the president, expressing his concern for the board's lack of respect to deny him a opening to defend himself.
but hey, regardless of the endorsed concerns, he should give them every plea to lift the probationary status. virtuous luck!
