These days, the accounting system is so advanced that everything is done on the touch of a few buttons. All activities are computerised.
For ex: the entry of an empoyee for work is recorded and the data is used for calculating salary (pay roll) and pay checks that are transmitted to the employees credit in his chosen bank.
Journal entries are made for some adjustment in the monetary transactions ehich are not possibkle by regular entries.
Accounting system has vastly got simplified (also complicated) and a single entry affects the entire accounting syatem.
