Has anyone hear of a construction scam? Where they voice they are coming?
to put on a new roof and later require you to pay 1/2 the allowance up front and they never show up to do the work?We noticed he is not surrounded by any phone book or on the internet.
Could this be a scam just to return with our money without planning on doing the work?

Before doing business beside this or any company, get reference and check them out, also check if they are a member of the Better Business Bureau (you can check it out online) or any credible/respected construction or business association.

A better mousetrap?
I have be doing carpentry for over 40 yrs and enjoy an idea for a better set of saw horses.Would it be better for me to try to long-suffering the idea . Or could I contact a company similar to Home Depot or Lowe's to see if they would buy the idea?
Answers: It is highly difficult to discuss "a better mousetrap" with a life-size corporation when you don't have a rights.
Most of them will not even meet beside you to discuss your idea. The function is that they may already be working on the same concept themselves. If they discuss your idea next to you they run the risk that you will accuse them of stealing it from you when they put out a product that embody it.
