I work at UPS, and I didn't find out if we get the time off for MLK morning. Does anyone know if UPS workers have to stir in tomorrow?Answers: Official UPS holidays are: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve.
MLK hours of daylight is a regular working day for UPS so you hold to go to work. You also own to go to work on President's Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Halloween.
I hold 27 years at UPS as a driver. It supposed to be a blizzard here in Salt Lake and even so I'll still show up for work.
Did Briggs and Stratton workers contained by Rolla , Missouri receive a severance collection when the plant closed ?
if so how much did they get..they are closing the port washington plant as in good health .it has be 6 months since the closure anouncement and we have hear nothing on the subject of severance..it makes me wonder if they offered Rolla anything.Answers: the just ones who got a severance bunch were the salaried organization people similar to the plant manager and such. The actual assembly workers didnt gain anything. My wife was section of the first group laid off. Som get some school salaried for but there be a stipulation that if they went to put money on to briggs they lost the benefit Briggs wasted no time calling individuals back and afterwards letting them go a year or two later so they didnt hold to pay for body schooling. I also worked for a security contractor who have a contract with Briggs I saw closely of this happen to my friends and loved ones. Over 1500 people (thats not including bureau staff) were merely let jump no real advisory, no time to start looking for somting else. They only know Briggs was closing through rumors Briggs didnt notify them anything untill the last minute.
