Why are countries selling their assets to foreign countries?
BAA have sold out to a Spanish company nPower is german owned and we return with gas from them...whats happening? Why cant we save our own companies. We dont hear of the USA selling their concerns to other countries so why are we doing it? We never used to do this in days gone by so why are we doing it now? Are we selling England to foreigners??Answers: This is something that adjectives stockholders and, especially the workers (who have a vested allowance plans) need to see. Personally, I have experienced a clean company B, buying the original company A, later turning right around draining off 170 million dollars stale the pension funds to assistance pay for the sale.
No loan or payback, just took the monies. 5 yrs next, sold the assets off to but another company C.
The pension within company A, which was growing respectively year nicely,
be frozen at the rate and date of sales to company B. The choices of converting to company B or, disappearing all surrounded by a mutual funds. No pension (recall, it be frozen at the date of sales), just 401K.
Now on to the stocks option.
Stocks in company A be either converted into company B's stocks or, turned over to and held within a mutual fund. Company C, was a private owned firm, have no stocks and offered 401K with a small percentage similar.
Company C , which was privately held, be sold to an oversea company D. Company D offers a 401K near no matching funds of any percentage basis.
Sounds just the company you should rush out the door respectively morning with good cheer, to work for..NOT..
I retired and, now collected my retirement from 3 different sources. All of the other stocks, DRIP, etc are vanished in place for a much following date. My experiences may be different but..In the cease, along the chain, everyone loses something.
The mistake lies at the top level for mortal too greedy and, for stockholders, who rewarded them with huge bonus.
The situation is lately so much more complexes than what meets the eye.

Why does it issue anyways. To the person selling he wishes the highest price. He'll embezzle it from whomever.

Also at present tons companies in both the UK and US are awareness a liquidity crunch.Just recently citgroup and accept stearns and merril lynch have sold parts fo their companies to overseas investors resembling china and dubai...investors with lots of bread. It is just the inauguration of a dramatic change surrounded by ownership which will take place over the subsequent ten years.The US is in big trouble and soon the entire country will be for Dutch auction from real estate to sizeable corporations. Theres no more money honey.

How can I "train" my JUNIOR boss to stop wasting my time so I can focus for my SENIOR VIP** boss?
Corporate law firm. I own 2 bosses: 1 top-flight VIP** & 1 very junior & tentative to firm. The junior boss is hopeless disorganised inexperienced wet aft the ears "L" plate timewaster, muddles & transposes figures - resembling client's bank side details! - & words in her dictations, who can't administer clear practical instructions so I waste disproportionate mega-man-hours on her small fry stuff when I should be doing a LOT LOT more for my celebrity boss. She, the small fry, doesn't seem to clutch it in that I own to be at my desk and "available" for him, the VIP boss, his call, his emails, organising & attending to him, & instead she has me running "urgent" errands & doing "urgent" bulk photocopying etc. (at the ending minute so it's too late to transport it to the copying dept). She's a damn mess! How can I train her to use me properly? She is not my priority but still she's my "boss", thick though she is, & how can I train her?
