How often do we hold to file corporate minutes for an S Corporation? I started the corp contained by 10/07 an no revenue yet, and is this something that can be done by myself or do we obligation a lawyer do to it? ThanksAnswers: The corporate secretary should to it after every seminar.
Every shareholder and board meeting.
You can do it yourself if you are the corporate secretary. In some states, the president may not also accomplishment as the corporate secretary.
My wife sometimes acts a corporate secretary for a tax. Contact me if interested, I can ask if she can do it.
At a minimum of at least once a year. Your S-Corp book should report you the date your Corp was established and you must own a meeting on or past that date each year. Once you start turning a profit, anytime you group with the board you should cause an entry
Who works more hours every week, US government employees or private sector employees? Thanks?
Answers: I would say private sector employees work far more hours every week. The working hours in US government is regulated and documented and paid in 1-1/2 pay if overtime, and double pay if beyond. In private sector, once you reached managerial level, it is mandatory to put in extra hours to get work done. Even regular level employees experienced long working hours.
My friend who works in one the top insurance companies in the country is mandatory to work extra hours to meet deadlines. She has been putting in 70-80 hr week (Mon - Sunday).
Private sectors..
US government positions usually have a very strong union to avoid abuse
Obviously it depends on the positions held. After all, congress works only about 3 days a week.
You have to factor in all the part-time jobs in the private sector.
It's unlikely such a study has ever been done, nor would it be worthwhile.
It depends on what you call meaningful work. Government employees sure do make a lot of paperwork that can be recycled into logs for the fireplace in the cold months......Now, that's what I call meaningful work!
