Starbucks employment?
Hello! I'm 16, almost 17 years old. I am considering a situation at Starbucks. This would be my fourth job. My first opening lasted roughly two years (I was a rewarded employee at my church nursery. It compensated well and I be like 12. So you can't pound that!) Second job: Started the daytime after I turned 16. I worked at a local coffee shop for about five months. Here I academic all the essentials of espresso and stuff. For the last five months I've be working at a law firm, doing accounting work. I've never been fired from a commission. I know Starbucks usually only hires 18+ (or so I've heard) but beside my experience do I have a clad shot? I'm going to turn in the application anyways, it won't hurt anything. I do enjoy a friend who used to work there and he said as long as I turn contained by my app to a manager and put together a good dint I'd be fine. I'm just wondering if any of you adjectives have any experience beside this? (In other words, do you know people below 18 who work at Starbucks?) Thanks!Answers: I have agreed many culture that have worked or are working for Starbucks that are below 18. The only difference is that since you are a minor, Starbucks have to comply with your state's child labor law. For example, in Oregon, you carry 15 minute breaks instead of 10 minutes. You also are unable to work over a positive amount of hours during a school year (or week), but you can still work over 30 hours with weekends included.
Of course, adjectives of this knowledge is base an a Starbucks cafe store (one that is not inside a grocery store). Licensed Starbucks may enjoy there own set of rules since you would be hired through the grocery store and not an actual Starbucks store.
Good luck!
The one and only people I know lower than 18 working at Starbucks are those at a Starbucks inside a Barnes & Noble. The stand alone Starbucks stores require you to be 18. But the stands or starbucks stores in other stores adjectives have different rules. Keep looking.
