Has Wal-Mart reach it's pinnacle growth?

Aside from all of their unenthusiastic publicity, the few things they have done right be to offer low prices and to somewhat support keep inflation contained by check.

Answers: Wal-Mart will be around for a long time and if the competition doesn't get them their own policy change will, but as far as growth the world is their apple. They have a potential to dominate and control where on earth they want to grow at this point.
nah,
maybe until latter
then we shall revoke
and run it dowN!
yeah!
Let's hope so. While I close to the low prices (who wouldn't?), they're putting everything else out of business to the point that WalMart is the only clothed size retail store left within my town.

Now that they're the only spectator sport in town, the customer service sucks, what you requirement is always out of stock, there's never anywhere to park, the store is a constant disaster nouns... you get the picture.

ETA: I'll second the human being that said that WalMart employees return with paid subsequent to nothing... and no benefits at adjectives. My mom works there (has for just about 7 years) and has nil to show for it.
In the U.S., maybe so. They may economically have maximum souk penetration possible contained by the U.S. right now, and own been focusing on overseas market for many years immediately.

Since the economy is doing capably, fewer population have to buy strictly on price. Perhaps if we walk into recession this year, WalMart's fortunes will improve.
Well, here are some macro-economic factors which are at work. They DO NOT across the world get alot of press.

1. Marketplace saturation - in the United States, they have achieve about as much contained by the way of revenue or marketplace share as they are likely to, doing what it is they do presently.

2. Overseas market, The Wal-Mart model has NOT other been a nouns overseas , Germany and other countries have not other embraced the "American" style of shopping.

3. Resource / logistical limitations, barring the exploration and discovery of a Ghawar type oil-field (very unlikely) or the development of a "Mr. Fusion" type cheap/portable high-energy production - for adjectives intents and purposes, we stand at or very implicit the maximum amount of portable energy available to our species.

Mr. James Howard Kunstler, make a disturbingly rational projection that the combination of poor/no political management over the last few decades on viable enthusiasm policy means that the US and by extension the world, are within serious economic/energy jeopardy.

Barring such "miracle" inventions, our society will have to be significantly re-ordered around using MUCH smaller number energy moving stuff around, and doing so unbelievably very trimly or at extreme cost.

Without being too much more expensive, the long trans-oceanic logistical lines which be paid "cheap" goods available to America and other consumer societies may not be viable, which ironically might be flawless for the US, in that business would have to come hindmost to the Americas (at the least).

In the near possession, Walmart may be able to adjust to confident amounts of increased costs into their supply chains, but they start loosing the benefits of economy of extent at a certain point, what that point is exactly is anyone's guess.

Longer residence, oil and other resource constraints both within the US and abroad, are predictable to more significantly impact not just Walmart but other firms. There is also one other factor I haven't mentioned.

4. Stability - overall, one requests to consider the other end of "arbitrage" and evaluate how stable it is surrounded by the long term and surrounded by the case of Walmart and other "big box" suppliers, the answer is - again - tentative.

Arbitrage is just a fancy word for outsourcing or moving manufacturing/production of fitting or services overseas.

The reasoning, is simplicity itself, why pay Americans workers vigour care or large salaries when we can land slaves or near-slave labor in Africa, India, Indonesia or China.

Workers contained by these countries are not paid anything even resembling a "living" wage, and commonly hold no benefits to speak of short of regular food and occasionally housing.

Essentially, the question you hold to ask is how rapidly does that arbitrage cycle move, from US to Canada, to Mexico to China, to India, to Myanmar or Uganda or somewhere else.

India and China are in recent times the most populous, and well particular but as salaries increase surrounded by these countries (as they are), Wal Mart and other firms simply move production to cheaper labor markets.

Eventually, they will find a rock-bottom towards which they cannot walk any further down in costs on salary etc. The question is how inherently stable is that reduction / country.

While the idea of living surrounded by a resource constrained world may be objectionable to "objectivst" tendencies contained by our political outlook, in the foreseeable adjectives, I am not necessarily a long-term mis-misanthropically minded thinker.

As someone pointed out, nearly the Alien sci-fi movies, there is an "inside" kid in the concluding Alien movie where it is in a relaxed way mentioned that Weyland-Yutani Interstellar otherwise known as "The Company" throughout the series be purchased by none other than Walmart.

What is required to be a businessman?

Answers: Good Day,

You are on the right path. But the first thing you need to do, is to decide what you are passionate about. Without passion, you are doomed to fail.

By the way, never work for the money, work for the satisfaction of building something, if you work because you are committed to the result, money will follow. If you don’t believe me just ask any pissed off doctor or lawyer that wishes they had opened a pie shop.

Take courses that teach you people management. Any business is all about people…It’s about the customers, the employees, the bankers, the landlord, etc etc. Next look at ways to learn marketing, how to get your idea/product/ service to the market and create points on differentiation.

Don't worry so much about the accounting aspect; there are "quantifiers" (accountants) out there by the handful.
Do get a basic understanding or bookkeeping & computer based P&L programs like QuickBooks...Also learn budgeting and cash flow planning.

Be creative, be the innovator, you'll find all the technicians you'll need later on, they will help you execute, but only you can create a unique business, a service or a product that is unique to you.
Go for it!

Which company have the poorest customer service?

for me, it's a tie between Sprint PCS and XM Satellite Radio.

Answers: ANY company that OUTSOURCES its customer service is BAD. Simple as that. We pay American Dollars for a product and later have to try and read the POOR english that some person from India is speaking...
Sucks, and I return or rebuff to use ANY product where I hold to deal beside outsourced customer service.
Sprint is bad

But Verizon, Dell , Most credit card and bank because there customer service is overseas. Most airlines but American Airlines seem to be the worst. Cable in setting up service.
All doctor and denist office have rude general public in it. Because they lately care nearly lunch and leaving untimely.
Hewlett Packard, Dell, and any other company that forces you to deal near outsourced employees that relay you to do the same item (that you did before you called) 10 times because they can't speak english. Grrr.

If a company is providing customer service to an English-speaking country, the reps should speak the talking. Is that really too much to ask? It's never as satisfying to detail them what they can do with the computer when they don't grasp you. ;-)
