Corporations Questions and Answers

What are some pro's and cons to a corporate starbucks, and a licensed starbucks such as contained by Safeway or Target.

I am going to start work at a Satrbucks in safeway and what are some things I may or may not miss out on working at a Licensed SBUX compared to an actual SBUX business? Any help out would be greatly appreciated.

Also I've never been a barista previously, any tips?

Answers: Last I heard workers within a sbux kiosk in Safeway, etcl be the Store Employees not directly hired by Sbux.

Pros: if you work fo starbux afterwards you have a hit and miss at promotion faster (there are fewer ethnic group on the roster at that location). It great if you like working near people and also resembling coffee.

cons: it a pretty boring job, once youve studious how to make the drinks. and lots ofpublic contact will scrounging you will have some fruitless customers. you;ll learn to accord with that as okay.

If the bidding by Microsoft for Yahoo turns hostile, what does this do to the stock?

just curious, i don't know anything nearly investing but i am starting to learn. thank you.

Answers: It's a appropriate question, but complicated. A hostile capture bid would probably require Microsoft to offer a significant premium on the stock price, which would drive the stock up. But Yahoo might try to come to blows Microsoft with what's call a "poison pill": they would issue more shares of stock, so Microsoft would have to buy more within order to becoming a majority shareholder and gain control of the company. Issuing more stock would drive the stock price hindmost down.

In the end, it will come down to whether investors believe Microsoft will be successful in the control bid. If so, Yahoo stock will probably go up; except, the stock would probably stay the same, or run down. And either channel, Microsoft stock would probably go down, since they'd hold to spend a lot of change and resources for a hostile takeover.

What does Ikea do for customers who show up on the opening day of a new store?

Answers: For the Frisco, TX store that opened up a yr or 2 ago, the first person in line won a shopping spree(to the value of a few $1000 bucks I think). But different stores probably do different things so don't assume anything - check the website or call the store if you want to find out.

By the way - the lady who was first in line camped out over a week and was allowed to use the showers/bathroom in the store.
