In Germany do they use the possession Inc? for an incorporation?
I'm researching a co., that has a Luxembourg address, however the co. signature says "Inc." I'm told that wouldn't be a Germany co. afterwards. Is this true?Answers: GmbH means 'Gesellschaft mit beschr"ankter Haftung' (company beside limited liability) which refers to a company surrounded by which the owbners owners (Gesellschafter) are not personally liable for the company's debts. Another type company is an 'AG' (Aktiengesellschaft which is a company lmited by shares/owned by shareholders.
The english occupancy 'Incorporation' means the formation of a latest corporation (a corporation being a permissible entity that is effectively recognised as a being, albeit a fictitious one, under the law) and is typically only used surrounded by the US and Canada.
The German GmbH or AG basically mechanism (just like the Inc. within the name of a US company or Ltd surrounded by a UK company) that the company went through the legally recognized steps of incorporation.
This does not mean that a foreign company may not use Inc. surrounded by their name but it would not imply the same as the justifiably added Inc of an american company but rather be only just part of the company describe itself.
No, Inc. is an abbreviation for an English word: Incorporation. In German, you'll see GmbH.

Answers: It may exist but it doesn't have a web site that the Yahoo!, G00GLE or Ask! search engines could find. These days, that would be unusual for a company of any size.
