Corporations Questions and Answers

Is the term 'business ethics' the biggest oxymoron?

Answers: Well I’d say “Honest Politician” probably would be a stronger contender for that spot.

Having said that, here is a more relevant answer:

Ethics is any environment including an organization is a function of its people. So now there are 2 fundamental questions:

1) Can an individual be ethical 100% of the time
2) Can 100% of the people in an organization be ethical

Answer to both questions is NO. So an organization, which is made of people, can never be considered to be 100% ethical.

However, organizations can strive to be as ethical as possible if we agree that ethics is continuum and an organization can fall anywhere along this continuum.

Reasons why an organization is pushed to the lower end of the continuum (lower meaning less ethical) is because organizations are profit oriented; Shareholders control the organization and the CEOs are responsible for maximizing shareholder value at any cost. So this forces CEOs to adopt practices like outsourcing production to countries like India and China where people are exploited, child labor is rampant, and number of corrupt politicians exceeds those in the western world.

So, its we the shareholders who force organizations to be more unethical by our profit motive.

Citi Textiles and Fabrics UK does this company really need payment or is someone trying to scam me?

Answers: If you received an offer for a job or assistance over the internet or by e-mail, it is a scam. No textile company would do that. You could lose thousands of dollars. See the references on how it works.
more details needed.

have you ever done business with them?
or anyone in their industry [maybe they are a factoring outfit].
Well, if you don't know of having done business with them (you haven't bought anything from them or used their services) then why would they need payment?

Bear in mind, though, that it could be the parent company of an organisation which you have done business with, and therefore you may not be familiar with this name but it could still be legitimate. If you think this could be the case, call the phone number on the invoice and get details to clarify.

If you think it's a scam, I would initially ignore it. If they send you another letter or follow up with a phone call, either go to the police or seek legal advice.

Sail company share is good one?

Answers: The company is a good company but the stock trades at a very high P/E which means that the price of the stock is not justified by its earnings. You can wait for some downfall before getting into it... It is rather driven now by knowledge lacking lay investors... so stay away from it for the moment.. Enter into it when it falls.
