Answers: Bill is an icon, an enigma, a fresh breeze. He was the main man behind Microsoft's changing the world of computers with user-friendly softwares. His style was highly entrepreneurial and he built a huge enterprise. However, the future direction on MS is different.it is to move forward with vigor and not getting bogged down by its sheer size. MS is doing good in competing with all the industry titans in different war fronts- G00GLE, Adobe, Apple, IBM, Oracle, Yahoo and so on! Thus, right now, professional managers would really be the best bet and MS has its own way of creating leaders from the ranks of developers, many of whom are steering the company now. Microsoft has proved its mettle time and again and it would do so yet another time. However, Bill Gates' genius would remain an inspiration for the ambitious individuals in the company, just like Henry Ford for Ford or Andy Grove for Intel.
With a corporation that big, one man probably means very little... Even if he is the president. I'm sure things won't change for Microsoft.
