They are both excellent. That said, Costco have a company-wide "hard" 9% cap on the markup of items. That is, if an item costs them $100, the most they can market it for is $109. This even includes generic prescription drugs and furniture, two of the highest markup items one can purchase.
Sam's Club have VERY reasonable prices that compete beside (and frequently beat) Costco, but they have no legitimate cap.
In the long run, you're probably better sour at Costco.
