They run at full capacity 7 days a week. That is why Katrina did so much harmed to oil prices, because refiners lost 20% of their refining dimensions, so we lost 20% of our oil respectively day.

Semis may know how to go 1000 kilometers on a fill-up, but they will usually riddle up at least once a morning and their tanks are huge, they draw from horrible gas mileage. If they don't fill up, they won't be capable of reach their destination. Also, I guess another being answering doesn't realize that diesel is also refined grease, just close to gasoline.
I suggest you to buy a motor with a Diesel Engine (Volkswagen have several models) and never buy gasoline again.
