When American companies go to bazaar in China (or other countries for that matter) is it more or smaller amount common to translate their logos into the argot of the country they're attempting to break into (if the logo isn't just a illustrative, but contains words or characters that are in english)? Is it a function of the size of the company vs. the size of the country's bazaar? Or, do companies try to avoid doing this in standard to maintain the equity built surrounded by the *appearance* of their logo even though parts of it might be in English?
Can you cite examples of any American multi-national companies that own translated their logos?
I'm sure there are plenty of examples of Chinese/Japanese companies that translate their names/logos when going to souk in the U.S... you can include these, too, if you hold examples. I'm mainly interested contained by the first part, though.

I imagine since English is recognized as the international language, the US companies do not necessarily translate their logo into another terminology. However if you go to China or Taiwan and buy a tube of Colgate toothpaste or buy a bottle of Sprite, the product describe will be written in Chinese. Sometimes companies will tuning their name on products when they market it to another country. P&G has Mr. Clean here contained by the U.S. but I have also see pictures of Mr. Clean in their annual report and it is call Mr. Proper. Names that work in the U.S. do not necessarily work overseas so the product autograph has to silver. For example the Nova is a decent signature for a car within the U.S. but in Mexico "no va" process "no go". Not a good given name for a car.

DHL and service don't progress together in one and the same sentence as far as I'm concerned! DHL is owned by DeutschPoste wil is the equivalent of the Royal Mail/An Post or USPS depending on where you come from.
There are loads of other logistics companies out within. It really depends on what you need them to do for you.
If you are discussion about freight services you could try TNT or fedex. Fedex also do sorting and screening as far as I am aware. I find Fedex tracking capability alot more accurate than DHLs. Then there are smaller logisitcs companies operating within each country. Let us know what you plan to use them for and I might be capable of help further.

The only item I can think of is fax or email. This is for documents obviously. Instead of sending the originals, you fax the documents to the desired body or you scan the documents into your computer and send them as an email attachment. Of course they do not replace the original but that is the closest I can dream up of.

But, you need to realize that nobody starts out to build a conglomerate. Even Hewlett-Packard started within a garage. So did Steven Jobs and partner Woz when they started Apple.
Start with one business, later make it successful. (It's ok to own the dream in the subsidise of your mind, but until you have one successful endeavour, there won't be a second, and a third.
I founded one company, and saw an opportunity to do a spin-off, next another, then another. It's much easier when they adjectives have some synergy. Keep that within mind.

A conglomerate is not focused, it has different components. Your first company wants to be very focused until its up and running. Starting the second company is other a lot easier than the first.
Start a regular company, capture it rolling. Diversification comes later. Many conglomerates extremity up retrenching and "Going back to core competencies". Sounds so much better than "retreat"
