When in the video cubicle type in or copy and blend the following: Wal Mart: The High Cost Of Low Prices Or Visit www. walmartmovie.com for a short Youtube clip of the this movie. You will think twice in the order of visiting and giving Wal Mart your money...

Answer:
No no, Wal-Mart is a community minded company that employ many populace and has great benefits. It's not impeccable, but do you know of a workplace that's perfect?
So let all shut down wal-mart and transport the 1.5 million employees to the welfare organization.smart.
One simple example.

A woman works 35 years as a cashier at a "local" grocery store. After 35 years, she make maybe 35 cents more than minimum wage, her strength insurance rose in cost until she couldn't afford it and she dropped it ten years ago, and she have no retirement plan of any kind. At 75 years infirm, she is looking at having to work until the light of day she dies.

Another woman puts 35 years of service in at her local WalMart. She have earned numerous earnings raises, and make substantially more per hourthan the first lady. She have been eligible for, and standard promotions that give her more money and more responsibility. She have had affordable condition insurance from her 91st day of employment forward. She put $10 to $20 every paycheck into Walmart's stock purchase plan, and now have $500,000.00 in complex assets she can cash within and retire on comfortably.

Which woman works for an "evil" company?
WalMart has revolutionized something call "value fasten management", and there are plentifully of people who are pissed stale because they can no longer compete.

Stop you're whining. It's called a "free market" for a point.

Much of the propaganda you hear about WalMart is generate by unions who own been pressuring them to unionize for a long time. If you believe it lacking further research or at least audible range other points of view, you deserve your ignorance.
NO , the politicians & lobbyists are ruining our country .. The Republicans don't believe within minimum-wage hikes for the working class , and the lobbyists are calling the shots as far as any '' business vs. labor " issues are concerned
Yes Wal-Mart is going corrupt and ruining American. I for one do not like Wal Mart at adjectives. I have shopped in that and then shopped some where on earth else and have found several of the items that i bought cheaper at the other store. So i for one will do the lowest amount if any shopping at Wal Mart. So don't expect me to be in Wal Mart again. By the path i am see there prices lift and not lower. They have also poor customer service and i hold heard plentiful complaints about them. So my support is not to shop there ever again.

What are some of the advantages that Wal-Mart hopes to gain by globalization?

Question:
What are some of the advantages that Wal-Mart hopes to gain by globalization? What are some of the challenges that it face in its hard work to globalize?

Answer:
well the function it wants to expand is for one plea, more $$$. the challenges i would see is that the countries that do not resembling the USA would be turned off by a giant american corporation wanting to put its products contained by their countries.
I would agree with the previous answer, but let look at the purpose of business. The purpose of business is to serve their customers in such a opening the customers' needs are met and the business can grow and expand, thus staying surrounded by business. Therefore to do that the business must excell at what they are doing.
Wal Mart has proven that its business model is great, their distribution costs are the lowest within the Nation. Therefore they have delighted their customers by provide quality merchandise at very competitive prices and hold made hugh profits. With Globalization comes the opportunity to make more profits for nearby stock holders and satisfy more customers.
But at hand is the rub. With Globalization, the large mega-corporation must redeploy or modify their business model because of cultural or regulatory issues. Wal Mart has have to modify in India, Germany and other places that it have expanded. Wal Mart has struggled overseas, but they hold also had their nouns.
Since Wal Mart is on top of the mound it is easy to shoot at them next to many charges. I am not clich¨¦ they are good or discouraging, but Wal Mart receives criticism when other "big box stores" fly lower than the radar screen. Target, KMart/Sears and Best Buy, to heading just a few, are equally guilty and also hold provided American Citizens with great benefits. One of the beauty of the Free Market system is that if you like how someone serves you, you are free to bequeath them business, but if not you can simply progress somewhere else.
wal-mart and all companies that produce adjectives there products over sea think that if they produce these item as cheap as possible few will acquire rich and many will be poor the problem is that when nobody have jobs becuse of this outsourcing later nobody can afford anything. I hope wal-mart goes away. BE AMERICAN BUY AMERICAN

What are the pros and cons of franchising?

Question:
As above

Answer:
Hello! is right. Name recognition can be a costly asset and that's the biggest plus assuming the brand has a biddable reputation in the souk. A good franchise will also enjoy an efficient system for selling its products or services and provide you next to good proposal for how to market them.

There are other potential pros and abundant potential cons as well, but the primary downsides I haven't see in other answers here are:

Most franchise contracts are 10 year commitments for which the franchisee have virtually no rights. They're structured such that the franchisee has greatly little latitude or say contained by how the business is operated. You enjoy flexibility to hire your staff, manage them and set your own prices, but most everything else, from displays to products you may/may not transport to signage/advertising, equipment, technology, etc. is usually either govern by or subject to the approval of the franchisor. It's not like owning your own business, it's more close to being a store chief who, if the business is profitable, takes home most of that. And if the business is not profitable and you want to supply it or close it after five years, these are both very difficult to do. The former is usually via any a very life-size fee (an example is a local franchisee who compensated $100,000 to terminate his franchise contract next to one of the more popular women's fitness center franchises) or personal bankruptcy (franchise contracts across the world require you that you be personally liable your business debts, not newly through whatever type of corporate entity you might establish; e.g., LLC, S Corp., Partnership, etc.). The latter selection of selling your franchise is generally practised only at a vastly large discount.

Good luck.
Name classification is good, but a franchise don't prudence about individual franchisees much as it contemplation about its own bottom splash.
Pro is that the company it is usually well particular which would help within creating business.
Con would be that you have to payment the company a franchising fee explicitly usually high.
Franchises, close to many of their products, are more or smaller number assemblyline business. Most of the details have be ironed out. This makes these business relatively undemanding to set up. Most elements of design. marketing, management, systems and to some extent even location enjoy been taken out your hand. Many franchisors have built surrounded by or relted financing companies to help accord with that issue.

The biggest tradeoff is that you income for all this. You enjoy upfront fees. You will generally repay a % of revenues. Depending on the business you will also be required to use approved wholesalers which may not give the best prices. So your upside is promising to be less afterwards a business bringing in indistinguishable amount of money but not a franchise. Definitely the feelings of ownership and innovation are not feasible to be as great.
