this is a tricky question...near is something called "constructive discharge" which is the thought that a company makes things so unpleasant for its workers that the web effect is that they're fired, even if they technically still have job. I know when you collect unemployment you hold to look for another job, but they don't take home you take one near substantially less pay/benefits, and that's what's up here. Yep they can! It happened to me! I took a position at a former employer that be supposed to be full-time with benefits. Shortly after that, they cut it to recreational with little benefits. They said it be a way for the company to release money. Unfortunately, there, any other full-time hand that quit, their positons automatically got cut to recreational. It's sad but true. They can return with away with it and don't enjoy to pay severance for the hours that the employees are missing out on.
