Are we heading toward a modern great depression?
Question:
so i was within class talking in the order of the great depression, and one of my friends says the stock marketplace is crashing right now and that we're heading toward a brand new great depression that's going to be worse than the last one, is this true?
Answer:
Highly unlikely, but not impossible. The combination of events that lead up to the Great Depression were a powerful mix. If we be able to restore your health from 9/11 as relatively easy as we did (financially that is), I'm pretty skeptical around seeing a full-blown depression any time soon. A lot of terrible things would hold to happen contained by succession for that to come about. I'm not saw it's impossible, but very doubtful. Besides, we learned profoundly from the Great Depression. Many of those lessons own been applied as safeguard in the cutback to prevent such a terrible pervasiveness from happening again.
No, the stock flea market is a barometer of the ecomony. What caused the Great Depression of the 30's be the Smoot Hawley act.
It's protectionist measures slowed down intercontinental trade that is cause deflation.

stock symbol for Nestles Waters of North America, Inc.?
Question:
Answer:
Dude ... If I was to charge you by the hour you only just wouldn't be able to settle up with how long it take to look up this company. No wonder you asked the question :-)
Here is the prevalent (I believe it's the main) website for them: http://www.nestle-watersna.com/...
I could not find a stock symbol but it appears that they are doing business as Poland Springs now (But still using both names). I be able to find their parent company (It is a Swiss Company) and found two stock symbols for OTC stocks for them. My guess is that the stocks would be ADR's? Hopefully you know in the order of ADR's because I don't. I do know that lately there have been a favorable exchange rate for owners of Swiss companies (meaning more dosh for Americans). NSRGF.PK and NSRGY.PK are the symbols I found. If you think they are a appropriate investment stop by my forum and let me know why you surmise that. http://bretcharlton.com/forum

How much does a hurriedly food resturaunt franchise cost?
Question:
how much monthly? Is it a % of what you earn that month? Give me some specifics.
Answer:
It does vary widely. The cheapest that I know of is Chic-fil-a, which solitary costs $35k to start (they pay for the building). The corner is that you pay them 35% of your GROSS Sales. McD's, BK, etc. will cost $200k+ to start up, but next you pay like mad less percentage of sale. Most restaurants require you to have a soaring net worth to even be considered. If near are any that you are interested in, a short time ago go to their homepage and select "franchise information" to find out their specific requirements.
Typically in that is a startup costs of about 100,000-250,000, depending on the franchise. Then you usually recompense a monthly franchise fee of some sort, but that depends on which company you franchise next to and what programs they have.
I don't know in the region of monthly operations, but to start up a Steak 'n Shake I surmise it costs $30k, and they work with you to comfort pick the location and stuff.
It depends on the franchise. Which one are you interested in?
Most of them are totally very expensive.
You usually own to pay a franchise payment and then quantity of your proceeds as well, I have a sneaking suspicion that.
a franchise usually gets a positive percentage of what you make or it could be a one time payoff.
Anywhere from 25,000 to 250,000 plus a percentage. Look at the up-to-the-minute issue of Entrepreneur magazine which has a index and cost of all the leading ones.
It depends if you rent or are purchasing the building. Some are 60 - 80 k, some up to a million. Monthly payments depend on how much you finance.
Franchise fees are monthly, usually 4 to 7%.
It vary, depending on the name and location. You can return with direct info on a specific company by typing it in a rummage field (ie, Arby's, Wendy's).
Best wishes.
Ttypically you involve to pay 100-200,00k upfront, afterwards around 8% of the sales, not profit (earnings).

Question:
My company was freshly bought out by a big corporation. What changes can I really expect? What are the probability I will be let budge?

There is no answer to that. In buy-outs, one common foundation is that the combined companies can cut expenses by getting rid of redundant staff. If that is not the baggage with your company, you may be fine. Depends on how crucial you are.
Does ANYONE resembling Wal-Mart better than Target and if so, why?
Question:
Obviously Wal-Mart is more popular than Target, it sells passageway more... but in my world not a soul likes Wal-Mart, so lately wondering if there's anyone out that that likes Wal-Mart better than Target and if so, why?
Thanks.
Answer:
Okay-I'm a brave satisfactory person to grant it. I prefer Wal Mart to Target. Granted, Target is marketed magnificently inside the store, but anything after that is when they lose their assistance. Target's consumer products like soap, shampoo, makeup, etc. are nearly other more expensive than Wal Mart. Target isn't even close in comparison to Wal Mart's pricing on electronics (tv, dvd, etc). The subsequent point I'll make is where on earth many relations will disagree, but I speak from my own experience: Target's clothing, while trendy, is poorly made and can barely generate it through a few washings without have threads come loose at the seams, or showing puckering and shrinkage, or snaps or buttons breaking and so on. Honestly, I've never have that happen beside any clothing I've purchased from Wal Mart.
The only nouns I'll give Target credit for is their home furnishings. Their furniture seem to be a good convenience for the price, and Wal Mart's furniture (apparently made by Sauder, from what I can tell), is clearly poorly made garbage.
I guess you've hear enough from me!
From the consumers' stand point, Walmart is much better because it offer a wide array of selection and bearing lower prices. However, I know that Wal-mart has not be the fairest to its employees, so I may hold some reservations for purchasing products there.
I own to say I love Wal-Mart. Target other seems dirty to me, not a soul to ever help me, check out lane are very shrink, hard to take through and always busy. There is no passageway to get out of queue if you had to. I am for a while claustrophobic and it bothers me when I'm in procession at any Target, it also feels junky and cluttered.
Wal-mart have people throughout the store to answer my question, it isn't cluttered and the Wal-marts I've been contained by are clean. They also give the impression of being to have a better test of items, I hope this helps.
I resembling Walmart because the prices are much lower. Target has better competence household items, though.
I love Wal-Mart...they have lots of cool things on mart all the time! not simply that its a great place to people view...Target has right stuff but the people are too fru-fru
target way better other seems cleaner.
Wal-Mart isn't more popular it's simply that they're everywhere. Target is more select in where on earth they build a store plus they market primarily to metropolitan single moms whereas wal-mart market primarily to families.
Target and Wal-Mart unsurprisingly sell matching pre manufactured goods but when it comes to clothing Target destroys Wal-Mart near a righteous vengance like an atom bomb on an ant. Plus Target's home decor and other similar items beat Wal-Mart any day contained by style and quality.
Target have had a reputation as a "chic" copy of Wal-Mart which makes the "in" crowd prefer Target. Sure i can attain stuff cheaper at wal-mart but i would rather recieve a shave from a spastic howler monkey near poor depth perception on crack than to wear clothes sold at a wal-mart...it's sooooo trailer trash. I do buy a lot of my clothes from Ross though immediately that i'm on a budget being married and surrounded by love and having kids..gotta sacrifice somewhereno more Nordstroms for me :(
No.
Yes, I do. I'm disastrous to say.
I grew up shopping at WM because in that wasn't a Target anywhere close to where I lived. Mom retired from nearby after 18 years and her philosophy was If Wal-Mart don't own it, you don't need it. I know WM treats their personnel horribly, but I love the one stop shopping, and the cheap prices.
I moved about 5 years ago and within was one Target and two SuperWM's. Target freshly didn't have the group of goods that WM have, they only have "stuff" and not food, or car thought, or hair stylists. And it seem that everytime their website said the store had something the store be either out of it or claimed to own never had it. Now this same town have 4 SuperWM's and one Target and one SuperTarget. However, the SuperTarget doesn't have a full string of groceries, they have nought fresh foods, only frozen stuff, and the regular Target stuff. Plus they are single a few blocks away from a brand new SuperWM. I don't know anyone who shops at the SuperTarget, predominantly because it's out in the middle of no where on earth with nought else in the HUGE shopping center they built. People around here HATE WM but still shop in that, whereas most people don't even dream up about Target as an odds. Around here, it's a local supermarket chain call United and their version of a super grocery store call Market Street, then WM, next an even smaller grocery store Lowes, then perchance Target for food stuffs. For other stuff, it's WM, CVS/Walgreens, the mall and those types of stores, BigLots, next Target.
Funny how things change so drasticly surrounded by different parts of the country. :)
I HATE WAL-MART! The store in my town is other a mess and never, NEVER has plenty cashiers (although the new self-checkouts do help).
For example, a short time ago this morning I walked within to Wal-Mart. my watch said 6:58 a.m. but an "associate" stopped me and told me "The store wasn't enlarge yet" (apparently opens at 7:00 am) and that I have to leave.
Now, I walk in the IN door which DOES NOT OPEN automatically from THE INSIDE!!, so I tried to put your foot over to the OUT door but the Rent-a-cop barked at me next to "I TOLD YOU THE STORE IS NOT OPEN AND YOU HAVE TO LEAVE". So I had to dally until some-one walked within the in door so I could bestow without buying anything.
Went down the road to a supermarket, get what I needed and went on my road.
I HATE WAL-MART!!
It totally depends on where I live. I've lived surrounded by Idaho, Texas, California and Mexico. Sometimes Wal-Marts are better and sometimes Targets are.
They all suck surrounded by CA. Dirty, out-of-stock all the time, and the organization are all pregnant minority teenagers who don't bestow a damn about anything.
I approaching Wal-mart better in some aspects. In my town walmart is verbs, organized, and the aisles are bigger. However, I would rather buy clothes from Target because they are cute. Baby clothes especially.
I close to both... but I agree that in Mass Walmart (at most minuscule the ones I have be to) is a lot dirtier than Target storesbut neither essential me has populace around to help you if you inevitability it. Once I waited for 20 min surrounded by the shoe department of Walmart while they were one called on the intercom. It be nuts! When I am at Target I always find it unyielding to find someone to help, but their lines are no where on earth near as bleak as Walmart.
what is predetermined liability?
Question:
Answer:
Limited liability basically technique that you can ONLY lose what you put into a company. For example you can only lose your shareholding significance if the Limited Liability company goes bust. However, controlled liability is not apparent when you own a sole trade where on earth you may have to get rid of your own possessions to pay bad debts.
It meens that you do not bear 100% responsibility for something. Businesswise is you are a shareholder of a corp. you own limited liabitily. If you own your own business and achieve sued you DO NOT have predetermined liablilty..they can go after adjectives of your business and all of your personal assets.
Hope this help!!
