Pros and Cons of Fast-food taxing.?

I have hear that fast food restaurants such as McDonald, Burger King, and Jack surrounded by the Box are taxing their products. I have found out that the taxing is imposed by the affairs of state, not the corporation.
What are the pros and cons to this issue? I am writing a paper that take on an approach of 'con fast-food taxing'.

CON: It limits consumer freedom... general public know by now that smoking cigarettes, driving lacking a seatbelt, and eating a bacon double cheeseburger can be hazardous to one's form... but they do it anyway. There are healthier option, but we choose not to take them.
PROS: Tax revenue could (potentially) abet pay for the healthcare of obese individuals on public assistance (including Medicare)... logically, obesity tend to kill race off hasty so they don't take much social guarantee!
I haven't heard of these fastfood-specific taxes.
a few pros and cons that i can regard as of right off the top of my guide:
pros--
- since fast food will be more expensive, conceivably people will buy smaller quantity and that will help beside the severe health problems (obesity, heart disease, etc) that this country is facing incompletely as a result of bad nutrition & quickly food.
- the government will hold more money... i guess this is a pro? we do have ourselves pretty far surrounded by debt... and what better way to force citizens to payment for the presidents mistake then to charge things you know they're going to buy a lot of?
cons--
- this is apparently not going to be a good point for people that don't enjoy a lot of money and guzzle fast food constantly and nurture it to their children everyday (this seems to be popular.)
- excess weight people and stoners are going to hold less money for more food and substances.
- the parliament is imposing taxes on anything and everything they can and will verbs to find more things to tax after this one is passed. it's a moment ago another stepping stone to total government control.
I do not believe contained by food being tax, but It might help advance our health. Fast foods allege an unusual amount of litter. Mostly people buy the food and toss the wrapper contained by the street. Some cities has special tariff to help next to this problem. THe other problem is the food is too cheap. I usually don't like to articulate this because the poor needs to guzzle, but it was found that a generous part of the nippy food s income comes from kids buying the food on their way home from college. THis is only piece of our obesity problem. Fast food's point is poor. I would like to see natural food being cheaper and fire up people to cook at home. Unfortunately cheap burgers engender it cheaper not to cook a healthy lunchtime. I'm fine with taxing surrounded by this instance, but I believe there is a better means of access. Remove all the subsidies on corn. That would automatically increase the price of quickly food. No cheap corn to feed cows and no cheap corn syrup for sodas.
