Are seller on ebay allowed to discriminate against bidders within their listings?

Question:

Answer:
Sellers have the right to refuse permission for to sell to anyone. I hold had a horrible time beside one region, which I will not name here. I lost over $700 due to fraud. The peddler has every right to protect themselves, and if they don't want to provide to Nigeria they should have indicated they do not ship to that region. Yes, Nigerians are everywhere, so I believe they expect no sales to Nigeria. I enjoy encountered problems when shipping to anywhere but the U.S., Canada and the U.K. All other regions hold been a total nightmare and I lost money.
It's not nouns
You don't know what colour someone is ??
However I did think in the order of banning a secure Yorkshireman from my listings-
He's trouble
well i once one something and the vendor emailed me to say she have a better offer so i wouldnt be getting what i won.
You'd hold to check with e-bay's policy, but if it isn't against e-bays policy, later it's the sellers loss to discreminate against bidders.
We obligation more info. How do you believe you are being discriminated against? It it an insolent listing? You can report listings basically like you can report postings here.
Blocking bidders from nation where they hold had heaps bad business contact is just perfect business, not discrimination. People own a right to protect their interests.
I don't see how they can, if you mean instinctively, sellers don't enjoy pictures of the bidders/buyers nor know anything about their background.
Sellers can block certain countries from bidding on their items(postage can be expensive to alot of foreign countries). Sellers can also block anyone beside negative ratings(especially the deadbeats who bid but never pay) and block individuals that bid on their items before and give negative ratings or who be not reasonable just about refunds, etc.
But adjectives of those are for own protection and safety after adjectives the idea is to bring back paid for the item and delight in the auctions.
Note: I think the entity might be thinking of all the scam coming out of the country of Nigeria.. they have be busting them left and right. (they in actual fact say that contained by the ad?)
Many seller are wary of some buyers because of the cynical experiences in dealing next to that group of buyers.

Nigeria for example is world famous for its Nigerian scam and credit card frauds. It's not nouns - but just making sure that you in reality get your money.

eBay does not own a policy on who you can sell to or not. If the street trader accepts worldwide buyers, except for those countries specified such as Nigeria, after the buyer simply has to find other seller.

I know a lot of online ecommerce stores, not a short time ago sellers on eBay, who refuse to sell to anyone from Nigeria. It's purely that the risk is too high given the proliferation of credit card fraud and scam coming from that country. It is unfortunate - and clemency the many honest Nigerians out at hand -- but Nigeria has be tainted online by the plentiful scams coming out from their country.

EDIT:

You added that Nigerian race live everywhere. Fine. But I sell on ebay, and I NEVER ask the citizenship of a buyer. If the address is US - whether that party is American or Croatian living in the US - after that's fine. You should post the link to that auction as you may be reading too much from the seller's description.
governing lady,

yes! every smart merchant will block any bidder from Nigeria.

there are passageway too many scammers from nigeria bidding to bring in email addys.

they are known as the Nigerian BIN Bandits.

im thinking of buying a deli near a partner any suggestions?

Question:

Answer:
A 2-part question deserves a 2-part answer.
Historically, partnership are the most dangerous form of business concern. They may be fraught with difficulties. Having said that, I’ve be in a successful partnership and it be both productive and fun. But make sure a partnership is really the best path to go. An alternative is a corporation within which each of you is issued stock. Don’t dream up only more or less how to start the business but how you’d end it if you needed to.

A deli can be a great business. It’s all in the order of location (market analysis), quality (your product have to be exceptional) and customer satisfaction (always donate them more than what they expect).
Have hot soups and sandwiches too
I'm sorry I don't really own any advice on the money side or the partner side of it. What I will transmit you is please keep it consistant. We own had a few deli and/or cofe shop places unfold near me that are wonderful on the dot and horrible the next. Make sure that you save your supplies well stocked so that you aren't out of stuff constantly. The coffe shop I'm speaking of one time give me cheetos with my sandwich because she be out of reg. chips. Cheetos can you belive it who eats those besides Britney Spears? Anyway I'm not maxim that you aren't going to be the place that is inconsistant and runs out of things I'm a moment ago saying that happen here and now that place is out of business.
Also gross a clear contract with you friend because going into business is tough.
Good Luck!

Has anyone researched or have any info on the pros & cons of working a 12 hrs shift verse 8 hrs shift?

Question:
Our company is planning on going from 12 hr shifts to either 10 or 8 hour shifts. I'm trying to digit out the pros & cons of both way. Anyone own any info?

Answer:
12 hour shifts are long but I am used to them now and so I hold more days off which is my #1 priority. !0 hour days come across just as long as a 12 hr shift except I own to get up for work an extra daytime of the week. 8 hour shifts are ok because you can get stuff done after work and own more "downtime" each afternoon. After working lots of 12's-an 8 hr shift seems approaching a vacation!
nope
Yeah, a 12 hour shift tires you out twice as much.
You neglected to mention if your place of employment works around the clock. I stingy, is it a manufacturer that runs 24 hours a morning? If so, then why would they even consider a 10 hour shift?
Personally speaking though, I own worked 12, 10, and 8 hour shifts and highly preferred the 12 hour workday since it provided the most usable time bad. We would work 3 days one week and 4 days the next. We never worked more than 3 days within a row and every other weekend was a 3 daytime weekend. We also had a minimum of 2 days past its sell-by date during the week which was handy for appointments or anything else that needed to be taken strictness of during regular business hours. The 10 hour shift would be my next choice contained by terms of nouns and 8 hour would be my last choice.

Should Board member be challenge to payment strong views dues?

Question:
I am the founder for a small non-profit theatrical company. I enjoy a board membership of singular (7) members and this includes myself.

I realize that I we were not conquering enough grant or getting enough donations from public or private entities to cover our cost of producing plays. As a result of this, I afterwards asked my board to pay a bias fee. I did this also because some member were not pulling their freight, i.e. bringing in patrons, audience or materials.

I asked respectively board member(including myself) to pay a strong views fee of $1000 once a year. this fee can be rewarded in small increments throughout the year and it would assistance to build some unresrtictive dollars that can go to things that cannot be touch by grant or foundation money. This, I believed also would show a sense of commitment. Please share your thoughts on this. Is this the right way to travel?

Answer:
I have to agree beside you on this issue. If the board members cannot verbs their weight by properly promoting events or organize fund raising undertakings to acquire grants, they should earnings. The bottom line man, if they cannot bring in the money by decency of their work, they should provide an equivalent amount through personal contribution. In your case, a $1000.00 annual contribution.
Sounds equal to me...Would your board members be interested within helping you raise funds for production costs? Maybe they can hold small fund raisers every other weekend or something.
Botom Line: no $; no company. :(

Why the Airlines produce different rates inwardly the discount class when they are not giving any addional facility?

Question:

Answer:
Airlines have become smart contained by the face of competition. They market the same product at different prices. And within are buyers too!!

It is high time for consumer awareness among us to strike the best deal. A little home work can make a great deal of difference.
see you are consuming the time and saving time no by the speedily
travel.
That is just smart business - selective pricing allows you to charge close to the maximum amount a creature is willing to recompense.

The other reason is simply that the marginal cost of an added passenger is least but the added revenue is not and so it is better to fill a $300 form for $150 than to let it stay abandoned, thus the deals that appear last-minute.

(There are far more fixed costs for airlines than erratic costs - namely landing fees, fuel cost, staff wages, even if the plane is empty you enjoy to pay adjectives those)
There can be several reasons:

If the plane is satisfying up quick, they will start to charge more, if it is not innards up they will charge less because even a $50 form is better than an empty form.

Where you bought it, if you know where to look online you can take a cheaper ticket, if you book through the airline online you can get a cheaper ticket than any non-internet path. Does anyone still do this?

There are actually sub-classes inside economy, regularly referred to Y and Q class. This goes hand-in-hand beside the discount websites. Y class seats are usually more expensive because they are sold first. Q class sitting room are sold on flights that are usually not full, these are discounted seats to try and cram the plane. Again, it is better to sell a form cheap than fly an empty form.

Tesco enquiry?

Question:
I brought an item from Tesco but found out that the person I brought it for have one already.

I dont have the tally, can I get Tesco vouchers instead do you thinK?

Answer:
If the covering has not be removed and item is still as it was bought, I would expect Tesco would exchange it for something else, or give you vouchers or even your money backbone! It is worth a try, and they do try to please.
Depends- if it's a branded item that you could have bought anywhere after they would be within their rights to decline. It's all nearly goodwill I guess- take it to Customer Services and see what happen.
as the person above said it depends on what it is but more than imagined they will change unless its anything close to underwear or that
All depends on what it is and, apparently, which shop manager is on duty.

I took a shirt subsidise after the seam came undo on its first wash. Didn't hold the receipt, after adjectives I bought it with my weekly shop and you kinda expect the talent to be ok. Anyway, the woman on the customer services till told me that in such situations it commonly depends on the item in quiz and shop manager's discretion. I think it help that I was claiming on a lb10 shirt and I happen to have at lowest lb100's worth of shopping in the trolley. In the completion they let me win another shirt. They didn't give me vouchers.

If you own a receipt I meditate the faulty item have to be returned within a month.. could be wrong near though.
it is probably costing you more money to come online and ask, than it would to look in sickly pages, for your local branch and asking to speak near the manager theremerry christmas to adjectives christians, happy chunukah to adjectives jews and a peaceful foreign year to one and all.
Take it to customer services. If they won't bring it back I'm guesssing that if it's Tesco brand you didn't income an insane amount for it so put it in a drawer for someone else's birthday or endow with it to someone for Christmas?
If it's still on their system & it's still in its untested packaging they will (more than likely) hold it back contained by return for store credit . the credit can only be used on non-food items.
argh tescos rnt customer friendly when it comes 2 no reciept so ull own 2 check with them.i tried 2 purloin suming bak without the reciept and they point blank refuse 2 do anything-gud luck x
yes, cause a scene at customer services,as a rule seems to work.

How Many Dell Employees Troll The Computing Section?

Question:
1, 2, Dozens?

Answer:
Maybe all of them? I don't know really. But I judge they are only dell workforce while they're at work. If they want to offer their backing for free then that's great but individually speaking I'd never buy any brand name manufactured PC again. Not even a dell.

What would be the first step if I judge my business partner is embezzeling money?

Question:

Answer:
If your experience is like mine, one of your top goal is to make sure your business partner doesn't find out that you are suspicious. Here is what I recommend:

If at hand is going to be a weekend or a few days sometime that your partner will be away from the office, hold the books to an accountant at that time (or bring an accountant into your office), so that they can review them. Also bring guard statements, check registers, any information you might have contained by QuickBooks or whatever computer program you're using, etc. Also, ask the accountant to please not give up your job any marks within your books that will raise suspicions.

If getting paperwork away for a few days is not possible, find a time sometime to make copies of everything while he is out or away. This is plentifully of work, but an accountant needs something, save the actual books.

I would also consult your lawyer, even if it is merely to tell him that you own these suspicions and are investigating them. He may have suggestion as to how to go just about it in a road that will make your valise strongest in court, if it get to that.

In the worst case senario - your partner take the books home or somehow keep you from accessing them, after you're going to have to turn about this differently. I am not sure exactly how, but somehow you're going to own to surprise him and take paperwork from him that minute, so he doesn't have time to move about doctor anything up. Maybe the police would help next to that? again, I think the legal representative will be able to assist here.

IF you have evidence or a pious reason to believe he is embezzeling, you might know how to have a detective or the cops draw from a search warrant so you can also get hold of your hands on HIS guard and financial records.

Good luck and I hope it works out ok.

PS. You might consider going to a up to date lawyer - a different one than the one your business usually uses - so that the attorney feels no loyalty to your partner, and so near is less occasion of word getting back to your partner.
Have your books addited.

What are some examples of enlistment strategies? How potent are these strategies?

Question:

Answer:
Essentially, you want to raise awareness of your company and the opportunity available. Sometimes it is nice to give others a short time glimpse of your enjoyable and creative corporate culture.

I've see companies handing out wet and sodas to people getting past its sell-by date the commuter trains in the city on summer mornings while surrounded by the evening on the trip home a local company was doing duplicate thing while stating you wouldn't obligation to commute if you worked with them.

Others hold group outings promoting the fun of working at their company, holding college recruit fairs, etc.

You can hire guide hunters to seek out the ancestors you want. They are very influential, provided you pick a good one who understand your industry.

You can give team bonuses for referring good relatives.

They are more effective than doing nil. Of course, if the word on the street contradicts what you are promoting then relations will see through your promotions. You need to be earnest.

Why do those verbs to shop at TESCO? Does the financial gain outweigh the nouns or are ppl ill-informed ?

Question:
Unfair competition

Bullying of councillours/land owners/consumers... etc (anyone who cant afford the legal costs of taking them on)

Inequality of income/wealth (You'd suggest an opening manner new job, but the oppurtunity costs are far bigger... alternative uses of land/labour, local/smaller businesses and the people they draw on, noice/traffic congestion...

EVEN THOUGH THE NEGATIVE LIST IS MASSIVE, the posotive list is in that... but why kill thousands of pigeons to salvage a seagull ?

I'm NOT a member of the below organisation, but thought it might provide further info

http://www.tescopoly.org/

Answer:
Their stores are accurate...their prices are good...the multiplicity of products are good... the parking is righteous...I like superstoresI don't imagine you have an argument.
if society can physically seeing the result of Tescos and other giants infront of them, they will preserve buying the cheapest option.

The below comment say it, taste nice, but you can't see how the have been feed genetically modified food that is probably altering yours, the workers compensated next to nil, the chickens that died at its feet and it probably ate (more gene tampering).

If everyone used in that local shops again, they could lower the prices, but either course, if you still spending money of expensive car, cigarettes, but putting cheap poor feature own brand food in your mouth, is that really feature of life.

People buying african lettice surrounded by the UK winter from supermarkets is another classic.

Its a choice people enjoy to make, put away well presently and rely less on drugs to maintain your going in your feeble age.
Yes, Yes, but their cooked chickens are gorgeous.
Tesco's own peas are nice. So that sort of balances the arguement
I would love to be capable of shop elsewhere rather than Tesco, but my option are corner shops, Tesco or Waitrose. I cannot afford to shop at Waitrose, (no matter how much I would resembling to) and we all know how much of a mark-up corner shops attach on to their prices. I have set mobility and don't drive, so what option do I enjoy?

Unfortunately Tesco has a monopoly, and I don't see any method of stopping this.
Perhaps culture continue to shop at Tescos because they are ecstatic with their service and prices and similar to to shop with them. People are not FORCED to shop in that are they?

Tescos is my local supermarket and I am afraid that I am not going to drive 15 miles out of my way (more traffic congestion and emitions etc.) to shift to the nearest alternative.
Some people, approaching me, would rather be "for" something, than "against" something else.

If at hand was something else to be "for", I may consider it, however your argument reminds me of the tabloid advert taken out by Henry Root:-

"I would like to complain most strongly - roughly everything".
Well I'm scared of pigeon so i dont mind i know its cruel but they really are horrible birds.
There is competition every where on earth now a days, its purely one of those things.

There are always going to positive things and refusal things in duration.
i had no notion but it has clearly made me think!
Tell you what, when my local small shops submit me the same choice and will stay break open so i can buy beans at 4am if I fee approaching it then i'll snub the superstores.

Theres nought unfair going on for a retailer giving people what they want and becoming successfull.
same reason us here in america verbs to feed walmart.

egotism is placed above principle. (i can save money.) and convinience... i can find what i would have need of three small stores to find.

over here, the answer has be a change of approach from small business... they are seeking specific groups of consumers. for example, as an audiophile, i would never be pleased with the mass bazaar stuff available at walmart... so what used to be the small stereo store specializes in lofty end home theater and saloon audio. small business is not really killed by these giant, but it is minimized and redefined.
i dont see the problem with shopping at tesco's, they are local, generous prices, open when i want it to be and have everything i inevitability.
low wages-how many GCSE's do you obligation to work there? none, if you dont wanna work for them, dont.
undue to farmers-i have no sympaphy for these individuals, remember these are the same culture who pay no levy on fuel etc, yet nurture dead cows to cows to salvage money, and gave us BSE!
local shops-stock the things i requirement and at a fair price 24 hours and i will use them!
nuff said
i agree next to him above
I think Tesco enjoy overstepped the mark of fairness by expanding into insurance and other market. It strikes me as a little greedy.

Having said that the speciality cheese screening is too irresistible for me to stay away completely! I'm not sure people if are under the weather informed or just trying to get hold of a fair business on their groceries. I'm sure everyone would love to shop locally in principle but it is too expensive to do that week within week out when you're on a budget.
I live roughly equidistant from an ASDA and a Tesco(10 min drive), with a Somerfield and an Iceland inside a 5 minute walk and the reason I chose to shop at Tesco are: price; quality; orifice times and the availability of stock.

I know all the reason not to go to life-size stores and I do support my small, local traders as much as possible however have you thought that the origin Tesco controls 30% of the grocery market contained by the UK is because they are the best at what they do!

The nature of the business is to acquire the best price for the goods you buy surrounded by order to retain a upright profit margin whilst remaining competitive surrounded by the marketplace and to out complete your competitors, whether its two small independent traders competing locally or two multinational supermarket chains the principal is the same.
I verbs to shop at Supermarkets in broad in support of forcing competion next to the bigger companies and breaking into other monopolies.

Petrol
Music & Film
Electronics
Clothing
And they gave me the cheapest insurance quote

I also believe that these supermarkets decline conjestion within towns. Many supermarkets are built on retail parks simply out of town which have biddable access nowadays.

If you want your shopping from tescos, you dont enjoy to drive. You dont even need to walk out the house if you dont want to.
Tesco have adjectives the answers to my problems! The price, availability, convenience, etc
What the FREAK is Tesco?
Are you calling for some sort of price war, the worldwide giants will win contained by this case.
Power is something else and they indeed have power. People shop within because it is convenient and cheap and you will never get them to boycott the store. I uncommonly shop there but it is simply because they are not so convenient to me as Sainsburies - I'm a cheap skate like everyone else
